If you don’t carve a pumpkin, it will appear ripe and perfect for months while it slowly rots from the inside out before imploding. The act of transforming a simple, ordinary gourd into something magical accelerates its downfall.
The same could be said for my life.
For twenty-one years I’ve lived quietly in the shadows, avoiding attention, and escaping notice.
I hide in plain sight.
With glasses and average brown eyes below the same dark hair sported by the majority of humans on the planet, there’s nothing extraordinary about me.
Except nothing about me is ordinary.
Not with the last name Wildes in Salem, Massachusetts.
My mother believed she could escape my fate by marrying a normal man.
My father thought he could change me by removing me from Salem and my mother’s history.
Both of them are wrong.
My fate has been sealed since the first time I laid eyes on Madison Bradbury.
She thinks she’s average, but she’s extraordinary to me.
A new love. A curse. Everything can go wrong.

The Spellbound novella is a sequel to Bewitched. It is best read after reading the Bewitched novella, also available in Kindle Unlimited. The story continues with Enchanted, releasing October 17, 2017.

Favorite Quotes:

Mom shoves me out of the way like a shopper on Black Friday trying to get to a bargain. She gives Madison a big hug and from the expression in Madison’s eyes, she’s squeezing a little too tight.

To be clear, I’m not saying my mother would bake children in a big oven. However, she does have a sign in the shop about unattended children being fed to the dragon in the basement. You’d be surprised how many people ask to see the dragon.

My Review:

I’m having such fun with this creative series, which makes me wonder why I don’t read this type of story more often. This installment ramps up the wit and humor although something has gone horribly awry and the young lovers have hit a speed bump in their fledgling romance. The big questions were why and who? Multiple hypotheses were put forth - a curse, body snatching, a spell, black magic? I was fascinated with the line Madison used, “ Instead of kissing one of the toad boys and having him turn into a prince, I’ve kissed my prince and turned him into a frog.”

“Any smart man should read Austen to be prepared for dealing with women, especially a woman who loves to read and who also might be an English major.”

I am eating these short reads up!! This one is so good and different than anything I’ve read. Perfect fall reads. Wish they were still available on Amazon. Witches, spells, curses and romance..the perfect Fall/Halloween reads.

I love Andrew so much! Loving this alpha male curse that he’s under. Love the way he is drawn body and soul to Madison

“Is this a love spell gone awry or is there something else at work?”

Diving into book 3 to find out!

Though I loved the first novella I wasn’t a huge fan of this one
For starters I didn’t like Andrews POV much and the plot seem a bit rushed - well actually a lot rushed
Somewhere between ok and good- though I honestly wish I liked it better
I am definitely reading the next one

What's not to love about a Halloween romance by Daisy Prescott? Love is magical, really, and Daisy gives us the what-happened-next when she picks up where she left off in Bewitched - which you do need to read first, but it's wonderful, too, so no problem there. Spellbound is told from Andrew's point of view so we get see a bit more into the magical world of Salem as we follow his story with Madison. I love Daisy's characters, and I really hope we get more stories about the Bewitched/Spellbound crew - HINT HINT HINT, Daisy!

This one starts where the last story ends. All was fine then, but now Andrew doesn't seem to be himself. The more time he spends with Madison, the more volatile his emotions get. Then to make things worse, Madison's old fling wants back in her pants and he's actually starting to seem like a good guy. Wierd! Is this 'Freaky Friday' magic, or something darker?
I wasn't as in to this one at first. It was upsetting to see Andrew being a jerk and not being able to stop himself. And the story had that strange confusing meaninglessness like 'The Mage'. Is it really magic???.... magic you can't quite put your finger on. But in the last quarter the author really pulls it all together and i loved it!
Still very PG, but sweetly romantic.
Looking forward to the next one!

Delightfully Magical

Spellbound takes up right where Bewitched left off, early in Madison and Andrew's fated love story. We follow Andrew (his POV) as he tries to solve an unexpected darkness in him that threatens that love. With the help of his mother, Madison, and his fellow witches, its not just magic that is the key to break the curse. Solid 3.5 stars!

I need more

I want more of these characters! It was short and sweet again, but I need this series to go on for, like, ever!

Life in Salem, MA is anything but ordinary. The secret is out and Madison has learned that some things are not always the way they appear. With the uncovering of Andrew’s deeply rooted family ties to magic, Madison quickly discovers that magic exists all around her. Bit by bit, those around Madison show a little bit more of their hidden talents. Something that has gone unnoticed for quite some time.

With a ‘curse’ plaguing the couple, Madison and Andrew decide to keep some distance between themselves. Something that troubles Andrew more than he realizes. As the quest to uncover where the curse came from unfolds, secrets begin to unravel. Leaving little doubt that magic is still alive and well in Salem.

Spellbound is a continuation of the series, and picks right up where Bewitched leaves off. Told entirely from Andrew’s point of view, this novella takes us on a journey of finding what troubles are plaguing the young couple. A mystery that will leave you believing in magic!!!

You will need to read this story to understand the third book in the Bewitched series. So definitely put in you to be read pile.

If you are wondering why I didn't give it more stars it's because while I love Andrew his POV didn't speak to me. Just because he didn't speak to me doesn't mean that he won't be irresistible to you.

Spellbound is the super fun and flirty continuation of Madison and Andrew’s story from Bewitched. So if you haven’t read that one, start there first! I loved that this time we got Andrew’s point of view. I always love getting the guy’s thoughts. Just like the first book, this was super cute, kind of nerdy and the perfect read for the Fall season. There’s no angst within these pages, just a lot of fun, humor and bewitching romance.

If you want a quick holiday read that’s on the sweet side rather than the spooky side, definitely pick this one up (along with Bewitched!).

Recently I finished reading Bewitched by Daisy Prescott. It was a fun, magical short story. Spellbound is a continuation of that story. In Bewitched, Madison is the narrator. The short story, Spellbound, it's from Andrew's POV.

The story picks up where Bewitched ends as magic and romance are just blooming. It's a great short story with a little more drama and less humor than Bewitched. I enjoyed it but would have liked more or maybe a longer combined story of the two books. Regardless, it was entertaining and I recommend it.

This ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

A Magical Love Story

Spellbound is a continuation of the short story, Bewitched. In Bewitched, the female lead, Madison is the narrator. Andrew, the male lead takes over the storytelling duties for Spellbound.

The story picks up where Bewitched ends as magic and romance are just blooming. It's a great short story with a little more drama and a little more magic. I enjoyed the novella but would have liked more or a more combined novel of the two books together. Regardless, it was entertaining and I recommend it.

A continuation of the story begun in Bewitched--this time from the male perspective. Andrew is our narrator and main focus of this tale and getting to see the relationship from another vantage is fun. Especially when things are happening to him that make him question much. Another delightful tale by Daisy. You need to get this to enjoy as Halloween nears. It's awesome!

Since the party on Halloween, Andrew Wildes and Madison Bradbury are officially in a relationship. But, now that they're together Andrew starts experiencing some dark moods and he just isn't himself... and when it all keeps getting worse he starts to fear he may have subject to a curse...

Now, he and Madison need to get to the bottom of what is happening, so they can be together without Andrew ruining everything with his newfound possessiveness...

Book two in the Bewitched series finds Andrew and Madison together... but unable to see each other. While they try to figure out what is going on with Andrew they decide to spend time apart and fear their relationship may have to end before it's really even started.

This was a good read! Continued right where Bewitched, left off, we get to see all of the previous characters and learn more about Andrew (this one is written from his POV), his family history and the depth of his witchy powers!

The story continues in book three with Enchanted...

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Better than the first!!!

This second story in this magical series of novellas picks up right where the first left off.

I really enjoyed this second story in the series. I LOVE that this novella was written in Andrew’s point of view especially now that he’s not quite himself. We also learn a lot more about him and his family. His father is a piece of work who tried to change Andrew by taking him away from Salem. What his father doesn’t know is that Andrew’s fate was sealed a long time ago.

With Andrew not acting like himself, there were moments where I wanted to reach into the page and smack him upside the head to hopefully knock some sense back into him. It helped that this story was in his perspective as we got to see some more about what he was thinking while everything was going on.

I still want more!! These stories are left off at the worst and best times! I’m glad I can read Enchanted right away!
Grateful to have received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Spellbound by Daisy Prescott is the second installment in the Bewitched Series. This is not a standalone. You must read book one, Bewitched, first.
Spellbound is written in the hero´s POV. It is not often that a book is written from the male POV but I really love it.
Andrew has a girlfriend. But he´s changed his character. He´s possessive, jealous and violent. What happened to him. A dark spell, that´s what happened. Maddy and his mother Sarah try everything to save him.
Spellbound is a entertaining second book in the series and I can´t wait to read the next installment, Enchanted.
I give 4,5 stars. Thank you, Daisy Prescott !

Spellbound picks up the day after Halloween & the story is told by Andrews point oh view. Something dark is following Andrew and his personality is changing and he is becoming very possessive of Madison. Can Andrew figure out what is happening before he pushes Madison and everyone & thing he cares about. You will just have to come on this journey and find out if Andrew and Madison find their way back to one another.

The second installment of the Bewitched series, Spellbound, is told from Andrew’s point of view. This part of the story follows Andrew as he deals with a budding relationship and something much darker - a curse. I found myself completely drawn into the world Daisy Prescott created for this book. The way she intertwines magic, history and modern day college life is truly unique. I can’t wait to start the next one!

Love Andrew and Madison!

This is Spellbound, book 2 in a magical series written by Daisy Prescott. In this book we watch as Madison and Andrew try to navigate the new land mine that dating has created for them. Then things go terribly wrong and they are forced to solve a mystery before they can get on with their lives together. It’s short but lots of sweet times. Heading off for book 3!

This is the sequel to Bewitched and it picks up right where we left off. Something strange is happening in Salem, mainly to our dear, sweet Andrew. Thankfully, between him and Madison and his mother, they are able to figure out what's going on before it's too late! Again, this is a quick read, but it's packed full and will keep you on your toes! And it's perfect for the Halloween season.

Spellbound (Bewitched, #2) by Daisy Prescott is a cute romantic sequel to the Bewitched novella.

In this book, Andrew is plagued with a curse and its tearing up his relationship with Madison. They are searching with the help of Sarah and Dr. Philips to find out the cause before its too late.

This was a nice cute story. I didn't love it but it was nice for Halloween.

Continuing the magical journey started in Bewitched, Spellbound picks up Andrew and Madison’s story. Super sweet with an air of mystery. Definitely some angst, but also a fight to believe in and live for yourself. Really enjoy the history that is built into the storyline, and the fact that I’ve spent some time in Salem makes it all the more intriguing! Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Witchy

I like how their story continued and their relationship progressed with the story. A major bump in the road and how they fixed it. I only my wish they were longer. It didn't feel like a second or middle book. There was enough details that I was able to enjoy it and not feel like everything was being repeated over again. Diving right into the next one!

Love, Love, Love

This was a perfect Halloween story, actually it's a great read any time! I greatly enjoyed the first book Bewitched, in Madison and Andrew's story and I was not disappointed in this one. It was sweet, funny and quite magical. I so look forward to the next book.

This book is so fun. I love the whole feel of the story, wrapped in magic and Autumnal awesomeness. Reading this series puts me in a “wear a scarf and snog with my husband in a park during Fall” kind of mood. Is that too specific? Lol
