This book proves again that great things can come in small packages. The collection in which this book is published is French, called "Que sais-je?" (Presses universitaires de France), and nearly every French person knows that this is a series that might be considered "dumbed down", except that the many, many books in the series are more like Cliff's Notes on steroids. Moreover, the authors of books in this collection are anything but dummies, and Krtolica certainly qualifies as an expert in Deleuze's (and Deleuze-Guattari's) works. I confess that I will have to return to this book, but I've already found material in it to cite in ongoing research. So, for any French reader who would like a dense but thorough overview of Deleuze's rich career and the foci of his works, this book won't let you down.

Another great short introduction by the "Que sais-je?" collection! This one I was afraid that it would never be able to grasp any of Deleuze complex though and lengthy career but it was actually done pretty well! Well except maybe, weirdly enough, no mention of the rhizome here.
