When the past comes charging back, the choice is never easy.
Abused as a child, Willow Conrad has managed to develop compassion for others early in life. She believes there is some good in every person, even in the “lost souls”. But when Seth, her boyfriend, loses his temper one last time, she is left badly beaten and broken inside.
Jack McCoy has finally grown up. He used to engage in street brawls to release his anger and reassure himself of his own worth. Serving in the Marine Corps and then becoming a firefighter has put his life back on track.
When Jack’s friend asks him to help Willow, he doesn’t hesitate, despite a reckless predicament he narrowly escaped that very evening. But when he stands face-to-face with Willow, he knows his past is back to haunt him.
Will they take the second chance and let not-so-forgotten feelings resurface and blossom, moving past what drove them apart before? Or will Jack relapse into his destructive ways and lose Willow forever?

A LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR:
Dear readers,
I love hearing from you, so please visit me on Facebook and many other social media sites (links below), or write to me here, on Goodreads.
I have some facts and news to share with you:
Due to some serious health and family issues, I was on a few-year sabbatical, which means there were no new books published after December 2014, with the exception of a few multi-author anthologies I was invited to participate in.
In September 2016, I came out to publish the second edition (rewrited) of my dark romantic comedy series the Almost Bad Boys, and then I was back on my sabbatical.
Currently, all my books are pulled out from the bookstores to be republish under a different pen name.
I am also very excited to announce that I am working on the Almost Bad Boys series spinoff titled The Girl, The Knickers, and The Bloody English. It is Ali's and her love interest's book and even more hilarious than the original series. Wait to meet that super hot, witty and assertive man from London who'll sweep Ali off her feet!
Another novel in the works is Refuse Me, book #3/standalone in the romantic suspense series the McCoy Raven Brothers. It is a MC (Motorcycle Club) romance, and I can't wait to share the Nash's and Avery's story with you! I'm also toying with the idea of writing a whole new MC romance series based on the Refuse Me characters and their motorcycle club, the Hell's Ravens.
So, I have a lot on my plate, but I'm very happy to write again. I have the covers for both of the mentioned earlier books ready, and they will be revealed as soon as the books go on a preorder on Amazon.
Again, feel free to contact me with inquiries.
Best,
Angela

I love this series and love the McCoy's. This story of second chance love was amazing that I couldn't put it down. Not thinking Jack would ever see the one woman he loved Willow again until their lives intertwined in the most horrible situation. Not releasing they had a friend in common, Rita asked for him to check on her friend a lie in behold it was his first love Willow. Old feelings come back for both of them and Jack wants her back but with everything that happened to Willow and there past she is reluctant. Must read to see what happens between him and Willow. Can't wait for the next McCoy book to be released

Jack has made a lot of changes since he lost Willow. She is his one and only and he got a wake up call when she left him. He never thought that he would cross paths with her again. But when a friend of his asks him to go to her apartment and check on a friend that left her boyfriend after he hit her, he got a major shock when the friend was none other than Willow. He will do anything to protect her.
Willow always wants to save people from themselves. She always tries to see the good in people. She tried to do that with Seth her current boyfriend until he hit her. Now she knows she can't help him. When she goes to stay with a friend and Jack shows up at the door she doesn't know what to think. She left him years ago because she thought he would never change and she couldn't deal with his rage issues anymore. But he is a different man and she definitely has some things to think about concerning Jack. She needs to get Seth out of her life first.
My Opinion: What can I say besides I Loved it! I am a huge fan of AO Pearts and I have yet to read something of hers that I haven't liked. This book was very well written. Touching on real situations like abuse and people with rage issues. It captured my attention from the start and I couldn't put it down! I just had to see what would happen next. When you think the story will go in one direction she takes it somewhere else! I definitely recommend reading. This may be book 2 in the series and although I suggest reading book 1 as it is a great book also it is not necessary to read and enjoy this one!

My Opinion: I’ve read almost every book written by author Angela Peart but by far this is my absolute favorite. It’s just so different from all her other books. It touches on some really serious subject matters and is emotional at times. It shows that people’s lives aren’t always sunshine and rainbows, that terrible situations happen too. It’s genuine and real. I enjoyed seeing how these two broken characters were brought together and how their story played out. Reclaim me did just what the title states… it claimed my heart over and over again.
The message I received from this book is clear: The worst experiences in your life are the very ones that made you strong and molded you into the person you are today. These experiences don’t rule your life; you have the ability to move past them and become a better version of yourself!
Characters: Jack made a brief appearance in Resist Me (book one of this series) and he caught my interest right away! He was always there for Ethan and went into serious mode when the situation called for it, but mostly seemed so playful and carefree. In this book we get a glimpse into the darker aspects of his life along with his protective caring nature. We find out that he is a hot head, whose temper always got him into trouble. He isn’t perfect by any means, but his flaws are what make him so desirable. He was broken man who needed someone to mend his wounds and that person was Willow.
Willow has to be one of the most uplifting female characters I’ve ever met. She withstands abuse and comes out of it still as positive as ever. She always looks for the good in people, no matter the circumstances. Compassionate, caring, and strong… Willow will move you in so many ways. She is the exact opposite of Jack, but that’s exactly what makes them so perfect together!
To-Read or Not-To-Read: READ. If you’re looking for a novel with depth that deals with real life struggles while also having a few steamy scenes…. This is the book for you!
I received this book as a gift .... This is book 2 in The Change Me/McCoy Raven Brothers Series Jack is an ex-marine turned firefighter with a somewhat violent past and many anger issues. Willow is Jack's ex girlfriend, and she is nice, kind easy going and in a really bad relationship with a very physically and emotionally violent man named Seth Jack had no idea, when a friend asked him to go to her apartment to check on a friend of hers, that it was going to be Willow. (Who Jack actually never quite got over) And of course hes angrier than angry to see Willow all broken and bruised, and Willow is shocked to see Jack back in her life and helping her sort through getting away from and past Seth and the violence and her need to fix and change the broken. Has Jack Changed? Will Willow let him in? Be more to each other? Be the love that never had quite gone away ? Maybe ... .but then again ................... buy the book.... totally worth it ...
I loved the first book in this series, however i REALLY think i might just love this one more. Jack really really got to me, and Willow, well considering I cant stand women in books, well she took my heart away.. She is just a great character. My connection with Jack is beyond my words. I cant get him off my mind. Im not sure why being as i dont have a violent past but he just rocked my world. He isnt a character i'll forget any time soon. This book is very well written and the grammar and spelling are great. The story takes hold of you and you have a very hard time putting the book down for even a coffee break.... YES it rivals coffee. The chemistry between Jack and Willow is off the charts I absolutely loved this installment of the McCoy Raven boys and im actually scared for the next one because i might have to cheat on Jack I would absolutely recommend this book and this series. The author did an amazing job on book 1 and book 2 is just OFF THE CHARTS !
For those of you who read and felt that book one from the Change Me/McCoy Raven Brothers, Resist Me, was missing something you will find it in Reclaim Me. The author really found her comfort zone as the flow was impeccable, there was little filler, just enough back story and over all a great read.
Willow and Jack's story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. In most books I think reader's find there is one character who holds more blame than the other when it comes down to the dynamics of their relationship. But for the first time ever I felt that Jack and Willow were both equally at fault for their mistakes and resistance towards one another. Willow you just want to hug. Not because she needs it, but because you do. She is strong and confident, but she is also delusional in her belief that there is good inside all of us. Partially due to her up bringing which is also heartbreaking. Then there's Jack who struggled against the very thing Willow fights to feel, and that is anger. You will want to hug him too, but I think your thoughts will go beyond a hug *wink*
I don't care if you read Resist Me or not. This book is different and although in the same series can be read as a stand alone. If you felt book one was "meh" I highly suggest give book two a try cause I think you will be just as blown away as I was!
Complimentary copy provided by the author for an honest review. I really liked this book, it was a great read! This story starts with Jack, he was a wild teen with anger issues and loved to fight. Willow loved Jack but could not deal with his anger issues so when they went to prom and Jack's anger got the best of him, Willow had to call it quits. Jack then went into the marines and became a firefighter. A incident occurs 6 years later where Jack is asked to help a friend of friend, Willow just happens to be that friend. Jack is quite surprised to say the least when it happens to be Willow the one that he has never forgotten. Willow is a great and forgiving person who always tries to help people, this ends up putting her in a bad place with her crazy physically abusive boyfriend Seth. Willow can't believe that Jack is back and helping her. Is Jack a changed man, someone who Willow can trust and are his anger issues under control. Willow can't go from one man with anger issues back to another that had caused so much heartache when they were younger. Read to find out!! I read this book in one sitting, it was a page turner for me. One-click this you won't be disappointed!! Way to go A.O Peart another 5 stars!!
Wow I did not think this book would be better then the Resist me book #1. But it really was an amazing story! This is Jack and Willows story Jack's past was full of reckless behavior with lots of fighting. His anger issues is what caused him to lose the only woman he ever really loved. Losing his love was the wake up call he needed. years later his friend asks for his help and he willingly accepts. This brings him face to face with Willow the woman he loved and lost. Willow has always believed there is at least a little good in everyone. But after her boyfriend beats her badly she feels broken. The feels between them are still there but will his anger get in the way of their being together? Can he fight against it to be the man willow deserves???? This story was a bit emotional for me and it was a fantastic read. I need and want more
oh and can i please have a Jack in my life???? Yummy!!!!! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Jack is an Ex-Marine, now working as a firefighter. Willow is his ex-girlfriend who broke up with him six years ago because he had a temper. When Jack is asked by a friend to check on her neighbor who just got abused by her boyfriend, he of course went over but to his surprise there is Willow. After all these years he still loves her but knows that he must take it easy with her to prove that he has changed. The story from there just gets better
The storyline of this one is great, a hard topic to cover but the author does a great job at working it into the love story. Jack and Willow are both great characters and I love the supporting characters and can't wait to read more of the McCoy's. Great job Angela, another fantastic book!!!
Second in series, but can be read as stand-alone. (Love that part) This is the story of Jack-going to help a friend, only to realized his friend sent him to help is ex girlfriend. Jack is a wonderful hero. The story unfolds with Willow having to make decisions-decision making is extremely hard for her to do. Some suspense, but not as much as book one. This one is more romance & then so. There are a few spots that get hot & heavy. Author has a great story line and writes a great book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I look forward to more of the McCoy boys. I received a copy to read and review from the author.
**NO SPOILERS** (Received an ARC for an honest review) A blast from the past to the present in a period of six years. This time, we get to know about Jack and Willow. We get to see their past from Willow's point of view after seeing Jack for the first time unknowingly and vice versa. Rita becomes part of the picture for a reason (better read it to find out how!) Just like in Resist Me, the previous book with Ethan, Jack becomes Willow's protector from certain people, two at a different day. Be warn though, Willow's past is something that MIGHT offend the reader due to her situation at a young age and unable to talk about it for a long while before reaching out for help.
This was the second book by A.O Peart I read. I have to say, it was great! As far as book boyfriends go Jack is ideal. Strong, alpha male with a caring side as well. He swooned me a few times, I loved Jack! I really enjoyed Jack and Willows story. Even though Willows situation in the beginning isn't ideal and I almost thought she would be the ditzy female lead character but definitely not! She really came around and I enjoyed her character as well. The story was well written and my favourite part was Jack and Willow have a deep rooted connection. The only thing I would have liked to see more of was their love develop by the end of the book. I would recommend this book!
I was given book for honest review. Willow thinks every one has good in them and pays the price. Jack has had trouble with his temper and controlling his protective instincts. Meeting up with the girl now woman that he can’t forget all he wants is to protect her from all harm. He finds this difficult with her opposing view on fighting. Controversy subjects raised bring about a second chance at love. This stand alone series from A.O. Peart brings family, friends, heat, and alpha males together all in one read.
Jack is the quintessential alpha male. Marine turned firefighter with everything going for him, but he does have one problem - anger management issues. Then there is Willow, his high school sweetheart. Unforeseen circumstances bring them back together when Jack is asked to help an abused friend of a friend. Little did he know that the abused friend was Willow. Jack and Willow still have feelings for each other. Can Jack over come his baser instincts to fight in order to prove to Willow that he has changed and deserves a second chance? Read the story to find out how it all ends or begins.
I enjoyed this book even more than the first book in this series ...Jack & Willow have a history and I love that! Some things happened that tore them apart ..now Jack is a better person and Willow is coming into her own..after being hurt...The storyline and the character development was strong... It was great seeing them grow as characters and getting to know each other again...Was also a good setup for the next book in this series...about The McCoy Men..looking forward to it!
I enjoyed this book just as much as the 1st one. This is the 2nd installment of the series and a bit longer to read but, just as good as the first one. With every turn of the page you cannot put it down until finished because it was very interesting to see what happens next. I am a fan of all of A. O. Peart's books. She is a talented writer and writes in many genre's."Keep up the good work." I look forward to reading the next one.
A.O. Peart does it again!!! I absolutely adore Jack and Willow. They were high school sweethearts until they go their separate ways at Prom. Life takes them on a journey where 6 years later they meet again. Did fate decide what's best for them? This is a great read and is definitely worth more than 5 stars! The words flowed beautifully and I was very entertained while reading this book.
I have to be honest, I liked this book much better than the other one. With the first one I had this feeling of "what!? is this the end!? Is this it!?" And for this one I had closure, I felt like everything was explained and everything happened, I don't know ,both books were amazing but I choose this one over the first one.
Wow, this book is hot. Jack and Willow reconnect after years apart. Them running into each other is just a coincidence but good comes from it. Time apart can change a person for the good. I highly recommend this book.
My heart broke for Willow but unfortunately abuse happens all the time. I was happy she had Rita and Jack to turn to. Jack and his need to take care of Willow. I loved it. loved this story. Can't wait for the next one
I loved it! It started with action and kept getting better. Hot scenes, a steamy relationship, fear, pain, just some of the many emotions portrayed throughout this book! a good read!
There were a few things about this book that affected my rating. First, there were enough grammatical errors to be distracting. Usually, I'm ok with a couple throughout the book, but there were more than that in here. The second thing is...I wasn't that crazy about Willow. I loved Rita, but Willow was just too wimpy for me.
On the other hand, I liked Jack a lot...other than his taste in women. He came across as someone who worked hard to turn his life around, and yet spent a lot of the story feeling guilty for who he was and not who he is now. Jack and Willow had a history together and not a great one. As a teenager, he was a real hot head and constantly getting into fights. Willow was the love of his life and a peace keeper. She always wanted to see the good in everyone and tried to bring out the best in them. Until one day when she just couldn't take anymore of Jack's wild ways. Six years later and he is back in her life through a strange twist in faith. When Willow finds herself in an abusive relationship, Jack is there to help her through it. The problem? Neither one has gotten over the other, and she just wasn't sure if he was any better for her now than he was then.
I wasn't sure if I liked Willow for Jack. He had a temper, yes, but he seemed to be in control of it until she came back into his life. And she just kept reminding him of his past rather than taking the time to get to know him. And she constantly jumped to conclusions.
I'm sorry to say that I've read other books from the author that I enjoyed a great deal more than this one. Others may love it, but it just fell a little flat for me. Too bad feisty Rita wasn't the girl for him. She was a little rough around the edges, but had a good heart.

Loved Jack & Willow's story! It was very real and deeply emotional! I love everything that Ms. Peart writes! This was a great read!
I love this book and love the McCoy's. This story of second chance love was amazing. The book addresses domestic violence correctly. Willows boyfriend Seth is abusive. Rita asked Jack to check on her friend and Jack wasn't prepared when he got to Rita's place as the friend turned out to be his old love Willow. They both are surprised and old feelings from the past start to come back. What happens with Willow, Jack and Seth?? To find out you will have to read Reclaim Me. I truly loved it!!
