Never judge a sexy man by his cover.

Detective Beau Williams is hardworking, dedicated and professional. He enjoys the finer things in life, but with his heavy caseload that includes what Beau suspects is a new serial killer, he has no time to enjoy much of anything. What the tall redhead needs is someone to shake him up a little.

Investigative Technician Austin Kent never met a snarky joke he didn’t like—or a set of stairs that couldn’t trip him up. One night after a devastating episode at work, Austin sees something else he likes—the handsome detective he’s seen around the station whom he’s always wondered about. But after he makes a drunken fool of himself in front of Detective Williams, he’s sure there’s no hope.

Beau and Austin’s worlds collide when Austin is sent to pick up some evidence at the station. Amidst a myriad of twists and turns in the troubling serial killer-style murders of Vegas conventioneers, Austin and Beau discover that there’s more to the other than they’d originally thought. There might even be more they’d like to give—unless the killer has the final say.

I am loving that bearded, ginger hottie on the cover, and I enjoyed the last two books in this series. But this story felt half-baked.

We met Beau in the second book when he encouraged Parker to take care of Lonnie. Even though this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standlone.

Beau is a homicide investigator, and he's paired up with Austin, who's also a cop, although it seems he mostly delivers evidence files.

This pairing didn't really work for me. Beau is looking for a refined, cultured guy until one day, for no discernible reason, he wakes up and realizes, "Hell, I'm a snob. Austin is the one for me."

And Austin . . . Sure, he's sweet and has dark, brooding looks, but he reads much younger than his 35 years. He's insecure and kind of wish-washy.

Plus, he wears hiking sandals with jeans.

I never believed the connection between the MCs, and the serial killer plot was fucking ludicrous.

I could only roll my eyes at the end when everyone congratulates Austin for going after a serial killer. Alone.

Isn't Wait for Backup like the first rule of How Not to Be a Stupid Cop 101?

There was some hot sex, but I skimmed the last steamy scene.

*shrugs* I lost interest.

If you like men in uniform, looooots of sexy times, and a little smidgen of angst in a relationship to keep you guessing then this is the book (and series!) for you!!

Loved this book and I loved the goofy side of it. After the darkness of book 2 (so dark but soooo good!!) I think I found the goofiness (it's a word!) of this a nice little pick me up. Might even be my fav of the series so far :).

Plenty of spice in this to keep me happy, a little to-ing & fro-ing in places and a lot of men in uniform, what's not to love!!

I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest review

If you like to read crime, suspense, and M/M romances, then Justice Prevails is a must-read. I loved reading this book. It had great characters and a great storyline. Austen and Beau are beyond cute, and I thought they balanced each other nicely.

The books started off pretty good, but after the half mark, it got weird. I no longer like Beau and Austin together...how is that possible??? Beau is a prick and the way he thought about Austin was shocking because I had no clue Beau was so uptight. All I could say was "HUH? WTF???"

And Austin was like an insecure teenager instead of a mature man. Top it up with a snort-worthy serial killer plot and you have a ridiculous book. Really, going after the serial killer alone???? Idiot cops is all that comes to mind...and I HATE idiot law enforcement!!

I think this may be my favourite of the series so far. I really enjoyed the mystery of the serial killer and the investigation that Beau is a part of. Then the developing connection between Beau and Austin, that does not start off under the best circumstances, is a perfect mix of sweet and hot.
Austin isn't someone that Beau saw himself with in the future but as time passes and he actually gets to know him better, more is revealed that endears the other man to him. Both are under pressure, Beau in the hunt for a killer dumping bodies outside of the city, and Austin has a boss determined to undermine and use him as much as possible. The time out that they take together really helps them to bond and, unwittingly, Austin is extremely helpful in helping Beau with the case.
I love that we get to see Parker and Lonnie. Parker and Beau's friendship is growing after the drama in the last book and it's good to see that for all involved. They all also become involved in a teenage shelter, Austin already volunteering there and Lonnie wants to start after what happened to him and working towards his social work degree.
Overall a great story that showcases the relationship developing from the start and an interesting case that brings a hit of drama towards the end of the book. Looking forward to the next book and a HEA for Brett who we met in book two.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

DAMN. I was really looking forward to Beau's book. I wanted to like this more than I did, but that's not to say I didn't enjoy it. I actually didn't care for Beau at all in this one, but I liked him in the previous books :( Austin was cute though. Hope there's more from this series!

Why this series is so cute!? I was grinning like a nuts while reading them. I can never image Beau would be soft like this. He's definitely a perfect boyfriend for Austin, I envied him. ;)

I got totally lost in Beau and Austin story
Beau is a homicide detective with the LVMPD and he is extremely dedicated to his profession. He is reading a case that he thinks he’s turning into a serial killer on the streets of Las Vegas. Then you’ve got Austin who is an investigative technician and he enjoys his job but he’s got to be the clumsiest man out there. They had met each other before but just with handing over evidence.
Austin has had the worst day he’s in a long time best friend had been killed on a simple handing over of documentation it didn’t have to happen and it had really messed with Austins head so he had gone to the bar and started on spirits. This is where he sees Beau Buying a round of drinks at the bar for Parker and Lonnie ( book 2 copping an attitude) They talk for a while but then Beau has to get back to his friends but he keeps a watchful eye on Austin. And he is glad he did as an argument starts and Austin is in the middle of it. It seems he got a bit touchy Feely with a straight gentleman and he didn’t take it well. Beau quickly went over and calm the situation down with Parker not far behind him and Beau takes it upon himself to get Austin home. The next day Beau gets an early call to let them know another body has been found could this be the work of the same killer? Later that evening Austin is there to pick up some evidence which Beau is not happy to give. When a call comes in that somebody has handed himself in for the murders it’s up to Beau to get down there to interview him and he is miles away, it’s going to be a long trip and out of nowhere he asks Austin to come with him and this is where they get to know each other really really well especially seeing as on the way back instead of driving back home they stop at a motel.
I really enjoyed this story my heart went out for Austin Honestly tugged at my heart near enough in every chapter and I just wanted to wrap him up and keep him safe and reassure him all the time that he was worthy of having the best. And Beau is just a lovely man, will do anything to keep the criminals off the streets but also to keep his man happy. The passion that they share is off the charts but it’s the little things like spending time talking laying on the couch watching films it’s just a lovely relationship. But can Beau keeping Austin safe from his own inquisitive mind.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 3 in the Sin City series, and you don't NEED to have read boks one and two before this, to follow this one. You should, though, cos I said so! They are rather good!

Beau is in the middle of a serial killer investigation, and bumps into Austin when he is trying to drown his sorrows after he loses his childhood friend. Austin pulls a blinder and kisses Beau and Beau is, for want of a better word, smitten with the geeky young man who he keeps bumping into! Taking a 5 hour trip to interview someone turns out to be a bust for the case, but somewhat of a revelation for Beau and Austin and their relationship, if they can stay alive.

Like I said, book three and I don't *think* Trent and Shawn (book one) are even mentioned here, but Parker and Lonnie (Slade, book two) do play a part here, so I repeat, not totally necessary for you to have read the other books.

Serial killer aside, I found this a much lighter read, and I'm not entirely sure WHY, since both men have their own demons to battle, as well as the killer, but that's my thought on finishing and ya'll know I'm ALL about the sharing of my book thoughts!

Beau is smitten with Austin but he is NOT he usual type. And that's what sort of bothers him the most, this attraction to a geeky guy he never even looked at before, even though he had seen him around the station. Austin has admired Beau from afar, for a while, and getting his hands on Beau, even for a short time, to scratch the itch that burns when they are together, will be enough, for now at least.

The killer story line worked itself into Beau and Austin's life really well, and actually, I had no clue how that was gonna play out! I thought it might be carrried over to the next book, but it's all wrapped up in a big fat Austin shaped bow here. Well played, Ms Knight!

Brett (Parker's ex from book two) is up next. Be nice for him to have his happy ever after, after what happens to him in book two.

Loving this series, please keep them coming!

Reviewed for Love Bytes – 4.5 hearts.
Losing an old friend has Austin drowning his sorrows at a local bar. When a scuffle breaks out, Detective Beau comes to his rescue. Austin’s intoxication left him with no filter, fueling the sparks between them. However, long ago, Beau had his heart crushed and wasn’t in a rush to repeat the experience, especially with someone who wasn’t generally his type. Sure, Austin was cute, but was that enough for him to get involved? Then inter-office politics and a crime involving a serial killer throw them together again.
Justice Prevails is the third book of the Sin City Uniforms series – and thus far, it is my favorite. Detective work, action, and emotion are all contained within the pages, but I mostly connected to the main characters.
The story is told in the third person from the viewpoints of Austin and Beau. Worldbuilding mostly centers around social occasions, the office, and Beau’s case. Each scene gave me enough to experience the situation alongside the characters. I really liked Austin and Beau – their personalities and problems are very believable. I could not only imagine walking into a Vegas police station and hearing about them but virtually any law enforcement office.
After a long time of being mentally chastised, Austin has very low self-worth. Under the self-deprecating sarcasm is a clumsy, messy, huge-hearted human being. He admits to not having the perfect body, tends to deflect from anything serious, and says the first thing that comes into his head. Beau also has a loss in his past, seeing many similarities between Austin and his brother. The link sparks a need to protect Austin, and in doing so, Beau gets to know the man beneath the veneer. Add into the mix Beau’s frustration over the recent murders, where Austin gives Beau the support he needs to plow on, and what we have is an engaging, emotional page-turner of a story – one that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Austin is an Investigative Technician for the Las Vegas prosecuting attorney’s office, and part of his job is to serve subpoenas to witnesses in criminal cases. This time, he needs to serve an old childhood friend, and all does not go well. Heartbroken and grieving for his friend, he ends up in a bar that night getting quite drunk. As he makes a pass at a not so receptive guy, Beau, a homicide detective for LVMPD, steps in to get him out of a possible fight. Beau helps get Austin home, fighting an attraction for the cute klutzy guy that he can’t get out of his head. Austin feels the same, can’t get Beau out of his head, but also doesn’t see how Beau could ever have an interest in him.
Beau is working on a possible serial killer case, and when he needs to drive to interview a suspect, Austin goes with him. This is the start of more than a simple attraction. Austin ends up helping Beau with his case with information and ideas as the relationship moves forward.
We have two main characters that are interesting, opposites in many ways, but also with interests in common. They bounce ideas off each other well, and help clarify the other’s thinking. There is a serial killer, cryptic clues, some good detecting, and an intense physical relationship to tie it all together. Story held my interest, led to some predictions and a couple of unexpected events, and brought together two guys who found their person in an unexpected place. An enjoyable read to add to the Sin City uniforms series.

This is the first book that I have read in this series and I just loved it! It is book 3 in the series and I was able to enjoy it as a stand alone. This is the story of Beau and Austin. Beau is a homicide detective for the LVMPD. He is currently struggling to solve a serial killer case. Austin is a Investigative Technician. The two meet on one of Austin's worst days. He is grieving for his friend and drunk out of his mind. Beau steps up to help him and sees him home. Beau is a good looking man with a taste for the finer things in life. Looking only surface deep, he writes Austin off as not the type for him. Austin on the other hand is a natural klutz. Falling up or down things or bumping into things is his reality. He also uses snarky humor as a defence mechanism. He doesn't believe that he stands a chance against the good looking detective. But fate has her way. The two end up spending time together and realize that the surface assumptions they made were wrong. Looking deeper only brings more strengths to the surface. I really enjoyed the interaction between Beau and Austin. They had chemistry and they balanced each other. There is still a serial killer to track down but maybe they can work together. This is their story. I loved this book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Really enjoy this series and each book gets better. The reader was introduced to Beau’s character in the last book and although we didn’t get too much into his past in this book, we see more of his personality and how buttoned up and reserved he is with his suits and refined tastes.

He’s a contrast to Austin in this opposites attract story. It seems Austin has had a little bit of a troubled past and has low self esteem and covers it with self deprecating humor. He’s a fun guy to be around and we see the caring nature he has with his work with the shelter and how deeply affected he is by events that happen early in the book. Even though they are opposites, I enjoyed how they compliment one another-Beau trying to encourage Austin to appreciate himself and who he is and Austin getting Beau to relax and take a step back from the pressures of the investigation and the toll it takes on him.

I enjoyed having the investigation plot alongside the relationship story and it definitely kept it interesting but I do feel like it took a little bit away from Austin and Beau’s story and getting more in depth with their characters and seeing more of their relationship.

It was a short and fun read with the suspense aspect that I didn’t expect. I definitely want to read more of this series and looking forward to Brett’s story. I really hope he gets his HEA cause he deserves one!

Third chapter of the Sin City series, and I adored this one, as well as I adored the first two. I already loved Beau in his previous appearances, and I was waiting for his story, which finally arrived, and didn’t disappoint (I knew it!).
Here Beau confirms to be a good man, always on the right side, and doing the right thing, both in his job, as well as outside of it.
One night, when he goes out with a couple of friends, Parker and Lonnie, both met in the second book of the series, he meets Austin, and he helps him to find his way back home. In fact, this last one is upset because of the really bad day he had, and is not in perfect conditions.
After this first night, they meet again, since they both work for the Las Vegas police, even though in different roles, and they collaborate to solve different murders happened in the area.
Despite his goofy appearance, and insecurities, Austin is really smart, and thanks to his help, Beau manages to understand a lot of things.
The two men are really different, but they complete each other, creating the perfect couple. Between shootings, car rides, old friends, and a lot of love, we become part of their lives, and we cannot do anything else than love them all. Absolutely great for me!

Beau is your typical overworked homicide detective, he has a gentle side to him, he is a bit of a snob about liking the finer things in life, and doesn't really have time to look for a boyfriend right now, especially since what he's looking for is someone with the same refined tastes he has. Austin is an investigative technician, fairly smart though he constantly puts himself down, he's clumsy, and acts much younger than he is. Part of the reason Austin somewhat jokingly puts himself down, is to do it before anyone else can say anything, and has to do with how his stepdad treated him. Although not much is said about the upbringing Beau or Austin had, the impression is that both had tragedies and family who didn't accept them as being gay.
Beau and Austin fall into bed quickly before really taking the time to get to know each other and eventually falling in love.
The serial killer storyline was kind of interesting.
This book didn't really flow smoothly, the timeline was not clear, and some parts felt like they needed more details. For me, I enjoyed the first two books in this series much more than this one.

JUSTICE PREVAILS is the third book in the Sin City Uniforms series. You don't have to have read the first two, although the couple from Book 2 do make appearances here.

The book starts off pretty rough for Austin and he tries to drown his sorrows in a bar later that night. Beau is intrigued by him but doesn't really know why. Not only are these two incredibly busy in their day jobs but Beau also has a serial killer to catch.

These two bounced nicely off each other, once Beau got over thinking Austin was too crass for him! I was glad when he realised he was in the wrong because I'd been chuntering under my breath every time he said something. Austin is a very perceptive man who has his own mask to hide behind. Beau sees past that though and draws out the man Austin has been hiding behind humour.

I loved the mystery part and how it all tied in. I'll keep this part deliberately brief as I don't want to give anything away. Let's just say, it takes the two of them to make a breakthrough and then it's non-stop until the end.

A great addition to the series and one I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.

I enjoy a good opposites attract story. Though this is probably more of a I didn’t know what kind of person I wanted till he practically fell into my lap story.

Justice Prevails is a part of Morticia’s Las Vegas men in uniforms series, where hot men in first responder jobs find love, with other delicious men.

Here we have Austin and Beau. Austin is a bit of a hot mess, but he’s also way more than most people give him credit for. Beau is a very put-together, posh, detective.

Suddenly Austin is everywhere Beau looks and he can’t deny he’s attracted. He may not see a future, but he can definitely see a right now!

But with a serial case to solve, these two find themselves spending more time together, and suddenly right now seems more like forever.

I was so happy to see that Beau would get his own HEA after meeting him in the second book of this series. There was just something about this strong and mysterious detective you couldn't help but love and hope he finds some happiness. Austin was the perfect counterbalance to Beau's seriousness, allowing Beau to be more playful and joyful in life, despite everything he encounters daily in his job. I loved seeing these two find their way to each other through awkward conversations and clumsy disasters. Though he hides it very well, there is so much more to Austin than meets the eye and I was so happy to see that Beau understood that almost from the beginning of the book. The serial killer storyline was well written and added a lot of very twisty suspense to the story. I love/hated how that storyline wrapped up because while it was satisfying to see Beau solve his case, how we got that was so stressful! I loved this series about first responders in Las Vegas and hope there will be more written in the future!

The story takes place in Vegas, one of my least favorite cities. I find it to be cold, unfriendly. But I pushed that aside and concentrated on the characters. And, they are great characters! A sophisticated ginger, hot-hot LVMPD homicide detective transplant (from LA) is Beau. 180degrees we have Investigative Technician, cute and terribly clumsy, Austin, who works for the DA’s Office. Part of Austin’s job is to serve witness subpoenas, and our story opens with a personal tragedy occurring for Austin as he goes to serve a friend from childhood on the Paiute Reservation. Austin decides to get raging drunk, long story short, Beau happens to be there to save him. Even though this book is about catching a serial killer, it has many funny, cute and endearing moments as Beau, who thought life should always be LA-sophisticated, learns to let go of these ideas and enjoy learning about life with easy-going, clumsy yet very intelligent and intuitive Austin. I received this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

Justice Prevails is awesome!

Several dead bodies have been found abandoned in the areas surrounding Las Vegas and the book is the intriguing clue by clue hunt for the murderer. And while the puzzle kept me engrossed in the plot, my favorite thing about Justice Prevails are the characters.

I found Austin absolutely adorable. He's such an irresistible blend of insecurities, warmth, humor and his "infantile wit is like a powerful virus that can't be eradicated". And Beau: stern, serious, lonely and with a big, caring heart.

They're great apart but amazing together. Beau sees right under the loud and obnoxious exterior that Austin shows to the world and Austin is a bright light in Beau's bleak and sedate life. It was touching to watch them slowly build a strong and meaningful relationship and find a well deserved happiness.

Justice Prevails kept me intrigued, excited, made me cry and mostly laugh so much. I loved everything about it and I can't recommend it enough!

Beau, a homicide detective, is on a case which looks like there may be a serial killer in Las Vegas. He meets Austin, an IT for the department, at a bar where Austin has gotten himself in trouble and is sloppy drunk. Beau sees Austin home then contacts him later to make sure he is okay. Austin is with Beau when he has to question a suspect 3 hours away. Austin goes with Beau, and they spend the night up there. An idea comes to Beau while spending time with friends which then causes Austin to get into trouble. Will Beau be able to save Austin? Will he crack the case?

I enjoyed this story. It seemed as though it needed a little fleshing out. It seemed short to solve a murder and fall in love. I liked Beau. Austin took a little time for me to warm up to as he was a flake though lovable. Beau and Austin seemed to be a case for opposites attract. I look forward to more in this series.

This one should have been a slam dunk. Unfortunately it just didn't live up to my expectation, and after the previous two books it just had a weird vibe to it.

I liked Beau from the previous book and a klutzy Austin sounded right up my alley, but it just didn't work well. Beau kept coming across as judgmental and snobby, as he made assumptions about Austin not being what he was looking for. He did admit his mistake and after that he became more like the character from the previous book and more likeable. Austin I liked, he was klutzy and also had a self esteem issue using the jokes to hide behind, so he was an easy character to like.

I kept waiting for something to happen and for the story to take off but we just plodded along. This one seemed more character/relationship based, with the case taking kind of a back seat, it meant I wasn't really invested in the resolution, which seemed quickly fixed once they were on the right track.

Beau and Austin ❤️
4 Stars ⭐️

✅Opposites
✅Sweet and Snarky
✅Dirty Talk

I was curious about Beau after the second book, his story ended up being so much spicier than I Imagined 🔥 On the outside he was a stressed out, buttoned up, seemingly uppity detective. All it takes is one chance meeting with Austin to break down every surface level ideal he had in mind for the perfect man. Austin is clumsy, he is snarky and he lacks the social graces of any refined man yet he's perfect for Beau. The relationship development between Beau and Austin was fun, sincere and mature, they shared some spicy as heck bedroom times but they were so much more than that. I enjoyed the crime solving aspect of this book and adored these two teaming up in a way to help Beau get some peace with the case the he was working too. All around this book was quite enjoyable and I would recommend. I am excited for Brett's book, can't wait!

Oh I liked this one, the two of them: Beau and Austin are just right for each other, Beau is the calm that Austin's chaotic soul needed and I liked it, the whole aspect of the crime, of how they solve it kept me reading like every book in this series, my heartfelt happy while reading because it had the two things it loves the most and that for me is a win. It is short but full of all the feelings that I love, I had a good time reading this book.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I liked this one...
but I didn't get as involved in the main characters as with the characters in the previous 2 books in this series. Police action abounds as Beau is the lead homicide investigator for the LVMPD in a bizarre murder spree while Austin works as an Investigative Technician for the same agency. Each man has had devastating family relations that weighs down their ability to sustain successful intimate relations. But with each other a solace is found. Indirectly working the same killing case brings them closer to accepting their mutual attraction. The killer presented here is really weird in what drives this person's motives to kill and it's only by an astrological tie to an old movie that gives clues to any further investigation. For the ARC I received I am writing this review as a voluntary and honest review.

Intense! Beau, is a Homicide Detective for the LVMPD. He's dedicated to his job, but he is looking for his forever person. Austin, is an Investigative Technician, totally clumsy and lives life to the fullest. Everyone has perceptions of each other around the station, about the squad, which don't always showcase their true selves. Beau and Austin, keep running into each other noticing more than professional roles. It's challenging to make new friends on a good day, but during a serial murder investigation adds a new level of outside the romantic box. Does Beau catch the murderer? Does Austin, calm down enough to stand on his feet and repair his first impressions? Pretty exciting! Good story. Great mystery, good flow, nice characters. Nicely done. Absolutely amazing!

I loved this book! The next chapter in the Sin City Uniforms saga is the tale of Beau and Austin. One is a detective and the other works for the DA’s office. They have met through work a time or so but a night out for Austin after a particularly bad day will have him running into Beau outside of work. I love the way the two come together, both cautious at first. Beau’s current case is a doozy and I love how Austin does little things to help him through the stress. Austin is very hard on himself and the way Beau helps him change that is sweet and wonderful. There is a bump in the road as Austin gets in a bit of a sticky situation trying to help Beau with his case but all will work out in the end. The happily ever after they get is amazing and makes this book an absolute must read!

Austin keeps most at arms length with his snarky humor. One night there is not much humor is his life after an old friend is dead when he was trying to serve a summons. He decides goring a bar is in order, but one too many drinks cause bad judgement.

Beau is a homicide detective for the LVMPD and is working on a serial killer case. He is out with friends when he helps Austin from being beaten. There is something about him that calls to him, but he is not usually his type. The more time they spend together the more Beau likes.

Will he be able to solve his case and maintain things with Austin? This the third in the Sin City Uniforms, it is a steamy read set in the back drop of a homicide case.

In this book, we get Beau's story, which is an exciting, funny, sexy, and satisfying read. Beau is a homicide detective in the middle of investigating a series of deaths in Las Vegas. He meets Austin, a klutzy investigative technician for the police department, at a bar after Austin had a horrific day of seeing his childhood friend shot and killed. They are very different but they share a few unexpected connections and bring out the best in each other as they work to figure out whether they have a future and how to solve the string of murders in the city. This was a very enjoyable read, and I can't wait for Brett's story!

I loved Justice Prevails Book 3 of Sin City Uniforms. Austin had a bad day when his friend died and then made it worse by drinking himself stupid. A cop he knows, Beau helps him get home after making a fool of himself. Beau doesn’t know why he is drawn to Austin, he’s the opposite of anything he thought he wanted but they have a connection. Austin doesn’t think he’s good enough for Beau but he wants whatever he can get. Throw in a serial killer and some suspense and you have an amazing storyline. I love these characters. I would definitely recommend this book and now I’m going back to read Parker and Lonnie’s story.
