Falling for Autumn [Again]

Rate this book
Ezra Bennett is like a drug. Autumn Green has been clean for ten long years.
But that doesn’t stop the cravings.

I got over Ezra a long time ago.

It was easy with us living two thousand miles apart. I sent him away the day I learned of Dad’s illness. I wouldn’t let my family issues stop him from getting out of this town and away from his father.

But out of the blue, he’s back, hired by my traitor friend and boss to design the bistro on our Christmas tree farm. The bistro I’ve been waiting ten long years to run.
Yep, irony has decided to punch me in the gut and laugh. Again.

My epic plan—ignore the man.
I’m trying. However, his new muscles and facial hair are stirring up feelings and making my ignoring efforts problematic.

I have to figure out how to sweep those feelings under the rug.
Because we have the same problem today that we had ten years ago.
Ezra can’t stay and I can’t leave.

Ezra:
Ten years ago I held the gold medal for kissing Autumn Green.
But that was another life. One that included an absent mother and an alcoholic father.
And of course, Autumn.

The thing is, back then, I’d take all the bad if it meant I got Autumn. I’d give up all my other dreams because she was the ultimate dream.

Until the day she tossed my heart into a food processor, chopping it into a million tiny pieces, and leaving it on her doorstep for the birds to peck at.

I’m only back in Wyoming, back in our home town because if I want to eat, I need a job. And I like eating.

So, I’ll help Autumn design her bistro for the Christmas Tree farm but that’s it.
Because I am not here for the girl.

At least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Falling for Autumn (Again) is a closed door, dual POV, laugh-out-loud romcom filled with witty banter, steamy chemistry, and heart-warming moments. It deals with matters of alcohol abuse, cancer, and loss of a parent while still being light, funny, and uplifting. And of course it is a happily-ever-after read!

Such a beautiful love story!

Jen’s books are always so fun and full of heart. This story is all of that, but it also has a serious side to it. The heaviness and the lighthearted blend together perfectly, and made for such a sweet, swoony, and touching story.

Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts who were planning on leaving their small town right after graduation.

When Autumn overhears some bad news, she knows she’s needed at home and can’t leave. She also knows Ezra must leave and get away from his abusive father. Knowing he won’t leave if he discovers the truth, she breaks up with him, lying about the reason, and he leaves for NYC.

Ten years later, Ezra comes back to town. He’s been hired to help design a bistro, not knowing that he’ll be working closely with Autumn on the project.

Sparks fly when Autumn and Ezra see each other again. They’re both dealing with a lot of hurt and resentment. Things change once Ezra finally uncovers the truth about what really happened a decade ago. But Autumn is determined to keep her walls up with him, knowing her heart won’t survive losing him a second time.

You can expect:
🍂 Found family
🧡 Forced proximity
🍂 Meddling Bosses
🧡 Second Chance Romance
🍂 Cinnamon roll mmc
🧡 Reverse Grumpy Sunshine
🍂 Dual POV
🧡 Character growth and healing
🍂 HEA

I adored Ezra! I loved his strength in overcoming his past, and how he viewed his father. “I’m not a product of him. I’m whoever I choose to be.” I loved how his character openly talked about going to therapy. The way he fell for Autumn, again, pursued her, and made sure she knew he was never leaving again was just the sweetest.

Autumn was prickly around Ezra, but she was a sweet, strong woman with a beautiful and caring heart. She made so many sacrifices for her loved ones, and it made me so happy when she finally let Ezra back into her heart.

Many thanks to the author for an ARC.

Awww!! This book is absolutely adorable! I was hooked from the first page and didn’t want to stop reading!

Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts determined to leave their small hometown of Love, Wyoming for bigger and better things. Bit, when Autumn overhears her parents discussing health concerns with her father; she know she can’t leave. So, she sends Ezra off by himself with a broken heart and stays home to help her family.

Now, it’s 10 years later and Ezra is back in town for a job offer he got from his former bosses Don and Dessie. Little does he know, Autumn is still in Love working on the Christmas Tree Farm they worked at as teens. With the help of some forced proximity, some meddling, and some feelings that have never died, these two just might get a second chance at love!

I loved Ezra so much! He was so sweet and had overcome so much childhood trauma! He was amazing in every way and I loved how patient he was with Autumn and how determined he was to help her see his feelings for her and that the belong together.

Autumn was sweet and spunky and a little bit hard headed! I loved how she took care of everyone else before thinking about herself. But, I also wanted her to fall at Ezra’s feet the minute he was back in town! Haha! However, her resistance made I some great flirty moments, fun banter, and crackling chemistry!!

This is the perfect fall book! Can’t wait to read more in the series!!

I really enjoyed this book and getting to know Ezra and Autumn. I love how Fiercely protective Autumn was over Ezra especially with how difficult it was for him growing up with an abusive alcoholic father who was really never there for him. I loved seeing when Ezra came back to town after so many years how he kept showing Autumn how much he still loved her and wasn’t going anywhere this time no matter how stubborn she was and how much she tried to push him away.

I loved how he helped Autumn’s mom after she became a recluse when her father died. He really just kept showing Autumn how much he loved her and never stopped loving her in so many little ways. This book does deal quite a bit with grief and it did have me crying a lot but I think that just goes to show how accurate Jen portrays that grief and how it’s different for each individual person. It literally had me sobbing at the part where Ezra visits Autumn’s father’s grave and how he talks about him being a father figure for him and how much he love and respected him! This was such a good book a bit heavier but still with those light hearted moments that make you laugh.

This book is part of the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice series- each book written by a different author.

Falling for Autumn (Again) is a second chance romance between high school sweethearts Autumn Green and Ezra Bennett. Once upon a time, they were graduating high school and then moving to New York together for college until Autumn learned some devastating news and just knew she couldn't leave her parents and the small town of Love, Wyoming. She also knew that Ezra HAD to get out of town and away from his alcoholic father. Instead of the truth, Autumn broke it off with him and he leaves town without her.

Ten years later, Autumn is still living in Love and Ezra is back for a job. He is very surprised to find out that Autumn neve left. He wants answers from and is determined to get them.

Honestly, at first, I didn't care too much for Autumn in the present day. She seemed overly stubborn and rude, not wanting to talk or explain anything to Ezra. But then, I saw a softer side of her and how she is protecting herself from all the tragedy he has been dealt and is still dealing with.

Though this deals with some serious issues there are lighter moments. Overall, this is a sweet romance.

Thank you to the author for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I can't say anything about this book except its absolutely brilliant, once you start you just get hooked. Autumn and Ezra graduate school and are set to move to NYC for college except nothing every turns out how it's supposed too. Autumn stays in Love Wyomin while Ezra follows his dream alone. Now ten years later Ezra is back in the town he swore he'd never return too, but he needs the work. Can he just keep his head down draw up plans and leave, she won't be here anymore anyway. Again fate has other ideas. This is a story with many different incidents and encounters from side spliting laughter to tears of sorrow. But can the hidden truth finally come out. Can Ezra forgive Autumn. Can Autumn finally accept and enjoy her dream. Or will Ezra be able to stay in a town that his dad still lives in. Everything about this story is addictive you just need one more chapter or one more page. The there's Dessie and Don who bring it together as only small towns can. I think we all need a Dessie on our side. If you can't tell already I can't recommend this story enough and Ezra is just the perfect bbf. 💖📖💖

I thoroughly enjoyed Falling For Autumn (again) and it had me invested in it from the prologue. Autumn and Ezra’s story was a joy to read and it took me on a wave of emotions. I loved the flashback chapters learning about their history and their journey to their present circumstances. This book is part of the multi author Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice series and there is no order in reading them. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and oh Ezra was perfect especially with what he does for Autumn’s mum. I would highly recommend this one. I received a complementary copy from the author.

It’s not often that I see prologues in books, but this one packed a punch!  The way the prologue began and where it landed are on opposite ends of the emotional spectrum, but it’s a great launching point for where the first chapter begins!

If you hadn’t seen your high school sweetheart since you broke their heart, it would most definitely be awkward seeing them again after ten years!  Autumn sent Ezra away for his own good, but all he knew was she went from ready to run, then flip to ready to stay all within a matter of hours.  Now, one of her dreams (even if slightly downscaled) is about to come true and Ezra happened to turn up again.  Monkey wrench or helping hand, Autumn seems to not know how to feel about his reappearance.

Ezra being sent on his way to fulfill his dreams alone wasn’t part of the plan.  Fast forward ten years, being unemployed and the only one hiring is someone from the hometown, he did his best to forget, is anything but thrilling!  To make matters more complicated for him, the girl who sent him packing, didn’t leave town like she longed to do!  Now these two must figure out how to compartmentalize their past to get through their circumstances in the present!

Jen Atkinson knows how to hook you in and keep you dangling on the line until the very last word!  She also incorporated flashbacks to help aid the reader in understanding the past that the protags shared!  There is even a cameo from her summer novella and that adds some awkwardness at the reunion of our main characters!  While this book deals some on hard situations, I love that Jen handles it with the right amount of tact!  This is what makes her one of the greats!  I would say this book is all that and a squirrel’s hoard of acorns, but there are no squirrels in this book!

Falling for Autumn (Again) is the second book in the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice series. This is a multi-author series, with all books being able to be enjoyed in any order or as standalones.

If you're looking for a beautiful fall read that is equal parts emotional and laugh out loud funny... this one is IT! Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts with big plans to leave town and his abusive alcoholic father to make their dreams come true after graduation. But when she learns that her father has been diagnosed with cancer, she sends him away on his own. Ten years later, he returns to town and all those feelings start to resurface. I have always loved a good second chance romance and this one was absolute perfection. They had such a beautiful relationship with such amazing chemistry... and also really valid reasons for things not working out back then. Seeing all that they had been through in those years and the growth made me root for them to finally get their much deserved happily ever after. I loved that the story was very pro therapy as well. While it deals with some pretty heavy topics, it was perfectly blended with those laugh out loud moments that kept it feeling lighter and fun overall. I absolutely adored it!

Falling for Autumn (Again) is a closed-door romance with sizzling kisses only.

This is the second book in the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice Rom-Com Series but it can be read as a stand-alone. It is a second chance romance trope. Fun fact is some of the characters in this book are in a previous book by this author (Her Runaway Vacay). I absolutely loved this book and read it so quickly that I was sad it was over when I was done. The main characters are Ezra and Autumn who were high school sweethearts. Circumstances forced them apart and they are now being forced together for the first time in a decade in their hometown of Love, Wyoming. Lots of funny events and banter occur between these two plus the author tackles some heavy topics of parental death and parental abuse (all off page) in this book. I appreciate the mix of romance, comedy but also showing that the characters have depth and have real feelings. Both characters have to handle very real situations in order to make it to a HEA. Overall this book made me laugh out loud, scream at the book and cry at certain times but it was such a rewarding read that I would totally read over and over.

This is a dual pov, clean romance. It is part of the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice Series but also has ties to “Her Runaway Vacay”. I believe this story can easily be read as a stand alone.

Once again Jen has hit is out of the park with her newest story. I absolutely love second chance stories and you can’t help but fall in love with these two. The flashbacks to their first love and witnessing how they grow back together in present time is truly a work of art. The story flows in an easy way. Not only is this a romance but you will have quite a few sweet moments and laugh out loud moments. The transition of Autumn is the biggest change we see. She is very prickly and needs to find who she is again to truly live her life. She put it on hold for years and I enjoyed seeing her find herself again even if it was Ezra and Meg who had to coach her along a bit. I also love Ezra’s redemption story, as much as my heart hurt for him; I’m glad he has found who he is as an individual and not being defined by his family.

Pairs will with a pumpkin macchiato ☕️

this book was delightful! I was captivated every second of reading it, and it was easy to fly through the pages!

Ezra was a supreme cinnamon roll! And, I actually ate a cinnamon roll while eating this book now that I think about it. 🫣😂 Honestly, he was the sweetest. And I loved him. Autumn. That sweet girl. I was rooting for her and that she would find her happy! Absolutely loved the appearance of Meg Miller!

This book is perfect if you love:
🍁 Fall setting
🍁 Close door romance
🍁Second chance romance
🍁 Small towns
🍁 Meddlesome elderly characters
🍁Some depth/grief in the main characters’ backstories
🍁a book that can be read in one setting

“I loved you then and I love you now. I love how time has treated you, and changed you.”

~Falling tor Autumn (Again) is a second chance romance between high school sweethearts Autumn Green and Ezra Bennett. “I’m happy to spend the rest of my life learning. I will fall for you again and again and again. Over and over.”

-This story has dear and tender characters who go through real life heartache and pain, but also so much love. It is filled with forced proximity, second chances, grumpy/sunshine characters, meddling friends, dual pov, fun banter, crackling chemistry, swoony moments, found family, a Christmas tree farm, fall vibes, deep character growth and healing, and a satisfying happily ever after! It’s a story where love plays such a guiding force, as this story deals with some serious and deep issues and lighter moments.

“I’m here to stay. Through the good and the bad. I love you.”

What I enjoyed most of all about this story was watching dear characters navigate through the variety of emotions and piece together the past, so that there just may be another chance at their future waiting for them! It’s a heartwarming-heart-wrenching tale worth the read! 🙌🏻📚❤️

“I can promise you that I’m all in. That I’m here for you.”

“I’m still stirring all the minty mentos into my Autumn Diet Coke, waiting for her truth to pop.”

One thing I love about a good fiction is when my emotions run high and I become very passionate about the characters and situations. I felt sooo much with this book. Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts with big plans and when an unpleasant and unexpected event catches Autumn off guard, she tosses their plans into the wind without any explanation.

Ezra has risen from the tumultuous ashes of a terrible homelife to become the most amazing man to walk the streets of small town Love and I just couldn’t understand–HOW could Autumn watch him go? I spent a good chunk of the book so angry at her, yet Ezra is so compassionate, forgiving and still so in love with her, and a beautiful story unfolded to reveal just how amazing he is. It warmed and thawed my vexed heart and I found myself cheering this dynamic couple on.

As expected, Jen Atkinson writes a tale with delectable banter and wit and laced with the swooniest moments. I found myself deeply invested and my heart was pricked with all the feelings. This is a sweet story that will warm anyone’s autumn day.

Content: off-page parental alcoholic/neglect/death; mild, swoony romance

Tropes:
Cinnamon roll MMC
Second chance
Clean Romance
High school sweethearts
Small town
Dual POV

I just adore Jen Atkinson's books! Falling for Autumn (Again) takes place 10 years after high school sweethearts Autumn and Ezra break up before college. Autumn is the manager of a Christmas tree farm and Ezra is an architect now. Being hired to build a bistro for the Farm, Ezra and Autumn may be being set up by the Christmas Tree farm owners. Can they speak long enough without fighting, to sort out what truths ended their relationship?

Ezra is your next book boyfriend. He never gave up on his feelings and the sweet little things he does to prove to her he's not leaving, again, have you yelling at Autumn to notice lol.

Autumn has a lot of pain from different sources, one being herself. You 100% understand why she did that she did but you want her to realize that was 10 years ago.

The banter is fun, Autumn is amusing haha. And I LOVED seeing Meg from one of Jen's other books. Also, while part of the Pumpkin Spice series, I love the Christmas tree farm location! Overall, very cute!

Falling for Autumn (Again) is the second in the multi-author Cinnamon Rolls & Pumpkin Spice Series. It can be read as a standalone. Ezra and Autumn’s story was just so adorable! Who doesn’t love a second chance romance story??

Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts with big dreams, but when Autumn finds out her dad is sick, her plans changed. She broke things off with Ezra to force him to follow their dreams and to get him away from his alcoholic father, but in turn breaking both of their hearts. Ten years later, fate might just be in their favor.

Autumn is full of spunk and is a little hard headed! I loved Ezra so much! He overcame so much with his childhood trauma. He was so patient with Autumn, but was also so determined to get answers about what happened between them in the past. I loved seeing how much they grew and matured during the years they were apart. They had so much fun banter and flirty moments!! Ezra and Autumn truly belong together; their chemistry between the two is undeniable.

Jen did an amazing job!! I was hooked from the prologue. There are some heavy topics discussed in the book, but also so many laugh out loud moments throughout the whole book!

I highly recommend this book for the perfect fall read!!

Thank you to the author for the ARC copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I rarely rarely give up on a cheesy romance novel but I just can’t finish this one. I am half way through and the nothing has happened. All we need is for 2 people to have a conversation. If Autumn wasn’t such an annoying character and would just tell Ezra what happened we could all go home. It was ten freaking years ago. That’s a long long time to be holding on to the same emotions and seems unrealistic to me. It’s just too annoying. I’m also tired of authors writing these perfect guys who are head over heels for the most difficult, annoying women. Why can’t we make both characters flawed humans who are decent?

Also, what kind of name is Bre? I assume it’s pronounced like “Bree” but I said “Breh” in my head out of spite.

I don’t understand why Autumn is the one that broke up with Ezra, changed all their plans and ghosted him with no explanation after two years of dating, but she’s the one that is angry and rude? She stomps around and shoves him and yells at him when he returns to town because…??? I guess the book tries to explain this away by saying she was upset he returned after she “let him go for his own good” but all she did was gaslight him. Sure she had her reasons for staying and telling him to leave, but there was just no good reason for the way she raged and treated Ezra terribly for the majority of the book. She crushed him and still he managed to be patient and kind with her. I just really didn’t like Autumn. I did feel bad about everything she had to deal with in her life, but taking it out on someone else, especially someone you claim to love, isn’t okay.

Did I start this and finish it in one day? Absolutely!! I couldn’t end the day without getting a HEA. This truly is the perfect fall Rom Com that gives just a hint of Christmas coming with the setting of a Christmas Tree Farm.

Autumn and Ezra were high school sweethearts and due to family/life issues they went their separate ways. But there is a second chance at love for this cinnamon roll man and a loyal, loving but stubborn woman.

Their love story has all the swoon, chemistry, sweet kisses, and witty banter with some real life issue thrown in as well.

Reader’s Notes:

– this is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone

– this is told from Autumn & Ezra’s points of view

– this is connected to Her Runaway Vacay, but you don’t need to read it to enjoy this story

– it is mentioned that a character grew up under an abusive & alcoholic father (who we briefly see a few times in the story); the mother left when they were little

– it is mentioned that a side character gets a cancer diagnosis & later passes away from it

Review:

Gah, Jen why’d you do this to us!!! 😂😅😭 I loved Ezra & Autumn’s story together and getting flashbacks to when they were first together/friends! I loved that Autumn wanted to care for those she loved, but it hurt so much to see how her decision broke things for both her & Ezra. I loved that Ezra had a different way of taking care of those he loved and that he tried to ease into loving Autumn again despite his feelings rapidly progressing. I loved that their friends (the tree farm owners) conspired against both Autumn & Ezra in so many ways to try and get them back together (and that it worked!). I loved so many parts of their past & present relationship! 😍

Summary:

Autumn had her life planned out with her high school sweetheart, but when she discovered her dad was ill, she made the tough decision to do something she never thought she’d do: break Ezra’s heart. No matter what, Autumn wanted to take care of everyone she loves and the best way to do that was to stay home and force Ezra to still follow through on their original plan without her. If he’d known the real reason Autumn was changed things, he’d never have left.

Ten years passed since that fateful day and Autumn thought she was over the heartbreak she endured due to her choices, but Ezra coming back to their small town makes her resolve falter. With his homecoming only being temporary, Autumn can’t risk falling for Ezra again and is determined to keep him at arms length. But he isn’t making things easy…

Ezra only came back to his hometown because he needed a job and some old friends had an opportunity available for employment in designing their new bistro. What they failed to mention was that ‘their’ bistro was really going to be Autumn’s bistro and he’d have to work closely with her to get things done. With their failed relationship still strong in his mind, Ezra doesn’t think it’d be a good idea for his heart to get attached to Autumn again. He doesn’t know what’s next for him and Autumn is set on staying in Love, Wyoming. It should be easy… but nothing about his feelings for Autumn is easy…

So incredibly swoony!!

Autumn may have loved Ezra years ago but everything between them ended when she pushed him away. It was for the best…at least that is what she tells herself as she has tried to forget him.

But when he shows up in town after ten years, her heart has a hard time agreeing with her.

Ezra has never gotten over his first love and now that he is back in town for a while, he is hoping to get some answers - and some closure - from Autumn.

But when he realized all of his assumptions were wrong and she may still have feelings for him too, all bets are off as he falls for Autumn again and tries to convince her to give him a second chance.

What you’ll love:
second chance romance
small town
dual POV
forced proximity
high school sweethearts
the flashbacks
found family
matchmaking boss
the storm
Christmas tree farm
fall vibes
pasta dinner
so much chemistry

I loved that this romcom made me laugh and swoon and sigh, but the plot also had a bit of a serious undertone as Ezra and Autumn coped with hard things. But that didn't take away from the story at all, it added some depth and made the characters real and flawed. The light and the serious were blended perfectly together and the book definitely delivered on the happily ever after!

I am so happy there were flashbacks (they should be required in second chance romances!!) and seeing how determined Ezra was to win Autumn over - again - was swoony as all get out. His flirting, his patience, his determination, his kindness. Truly, it was amazing Autumn lasted as long as she did, especially after he helped her prevent hypothermia...

I loved every single bit of this book and I think it may just be one of my new favorites from Jen. Which is saying something because I love everything she writes! If you are looking for a delightful and cozy fall romance, then this book is for you!

I am so excited to read all the fall books. Fall is my favorite time of the year, so reading books set in fall makes my heart so happy. The latest fall book I read was Falling for Autumn (Again) by Jen Atkinson. It is part of the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice multiauthor series, which I am loving so far.
Falling for Autumn (Again) is a second chance romance that broke my heart and put it back together again. Autumn and Ezra were best friends and high school sweethearts with grand plans of leaving their small town and heading to New York for college and their future together. The day they are supposed to leave for New York, Autumn tells Ezra that she has changed her mind about going and breaks up with him. The story is set 10 years after this fateful day when Ezra and Autumn come face to face again for the first time. The story that follows is full heartache, regret, questions, forgiveness, hope, and love. Even with the heartache of the story, Jen does an amazing job of adding so many funny, lighthearted moments that perfectly balance the angst with the humor. It was so beautiful.
Things to love:
-second chance romance
-forced proximity
-flashbacks to Autumn and Ezra’s relationship
-fabulous banter and chemistry between Autumn and Ezra
-dual POV
-a Christmas tree farm
-all the fall vibes
Autumn was a fabulous FMC. She was so harsh to Ezra at the beginning because she was so scared to have in back in her life. I was so impressed with how well she kept her guard up. I thought her character arc was beautifully done. I loved her interactions with Meg and Dessie and Don—so many funny scenes and so much meddling!
Ezra was so good. I can totally see why Autumn fell for him as a teen and why she couldn’t get over him. His reactions to Autumn’s harsh treatment of him were so funny. I loved how he didn’t give up on her and how he worked so hard to find out the truth.
I read this book so quickly because I had to get to the HEA as quickly as possible. It was so good. If you love a good second chance romance, you will love this one.

Falling for Autumn(Again) by Jen Atkinson…wow. That’s the word that comes most prominently to my mind and heart. If you are familiar with her other work, you know she brings heart and fun. This book still brings the fun, but it is definitely much heavier on the serious, heart side of things and much lighter on the comedic side. That said, there are so many sweet and swoony moments to more than makeup for the heavier content.

I sometimes struggle with second-chance romances because, often, if a relationship ends, it’s for good reason. It annoys me if not, and it’s just a silly misunderstanding. Shouldn't the couple stay apart if there’s a good reason for the break-up? But Jen knocked it out of the park on both fronts with this beautiful read.

Autumn is a sweet, strong, resilient woman with a heart of gold, looking to take care of everyone she loves. That’s precisely why she sent Ezra away. But of course, she knew he’d never willingly leave her. He loved her just as much. Now, years later, she’s a shell of who she was. Grief has left its mark on her, but she continues working hard to make her, albeit altered, dreams come true while staying put and taking care of her family.

Ezra never planned on returning to his hometown. Never planned to see Autumn or face his past again, but that’s exactly what his therapist advised him to do. So he can't say no when he is offered a job designing a building for a couple who were so influential and positive in his youth. He just never expected to find Autumn there, not to mention work closely with her.

Sparks fly right away when Autumn and Ezra come face to face a decade after they broke apart. Pain and bitterness keep the snark and witty comments flying… until Ezra finally uncovers the truth.

Sweetly endearing, this journey is worth traveling through the grief and sorrow to reach Autumn and Ezra’s HEA. Grab your copy today!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

Falling For Autumn (Again) by Jen Atkinson is the second book in the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice Series but can be read as a standalone. It is told from a dual POV, Ezra Bennett & Autumn Green. I loved everything about this book. Autumn & Ezra were high school sweethearts planning on leaving for NYC after graduation but when Autumn over hears some bad news she knows she can not go with Ezra but also knows Ezra needs to go and get away from his alcoholic father so she does thr only thing she can to get him to go without her. She breaks up with him. Fast forward 10 years & Ezra us back in town to help Dessie and Don design a bistro not knowing Autumn will be the one running it, and he will be working closely with her for the designs. I loved book characters & the side characters. Ezra is wonderful, and I love how protective Autumn is of Ezra. This book gave me all the feels. I laughed, cried & swooned. Jen writes such beautiful stories, and I can not get enough. I have added her backlog to my tbr.

🍂 Meddling Bosses

🧡 Reverse Grumpy Sunshine
🍂 Christmas Tree Farm
🧡 It's Always Been You!

“Dessie, no warning? What are you doing to me?” “He’s been eating dinner with us since he got here.” She shrugs one shoulder. “I’m not doing anything to you. That’s Ezra’s job.” “Dessie!” I say in a hushed scold. “What?” She looks at me as if I’m the crazy one here. I’m not. It’s her. It’s absolutely her! “I am innocent,” she says. “Mostly.” “You are not! You are guilty. Guiltier than guilty! And I… I will not… “Will not what, Autumn Pie? You can’t stop what’s meant to be. You can’t help your feelings.”

“She said she couldn’t marry someone who was still in love with the woman he lost.” I shake my head. But no words come. “She was right. I didn’t even argue with her. A one-year engagement, a two-year relationship, and when she said goodbye, I accepted it without regret. She was right. I never got over you, Autumn.” He dips his head, peering at me as the tears I’ve been holding back spill onto my cheeks. “And maybe I’m wrong. But I don’t think you got over me either.”

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.
