Well this book was EVERYTHING! I’ve been nothing less than obsessed with Malachi & everything Little Stranger since reading the first book what seems like forever ago, so when this dropped into my inbox best believe I dropped everything and dived in.
I didn’t think I could love Malachi & his story anymore than I already did, boy I was wrong. His character progression was everything, his early years, his journey in the world with Olivia was just perfection, hard at times, the struggles, the problems that just kept coming at them, they sure went through it, but that is what makes me love them even more. As a couple, as individuals. The relationships with their family, the highs the lows, the angst. Their connection is unmatched, and this conclusion to the duet was everything I imagined and more.
I cried, I was kicking my feet giggling. I was panting. The SPICE?! The spice didn’t miss. 🥵
When some well loved characters from the edge of darkness trilogy popped up, I was in my element. The banter was just so good, and the dynamic between them was everything.
Malachi & Olivia’s story, is so so special, and I cannot tell you how much I adore this duet. Leigh did an incredible job with the continuation of their story, and I’ll be forever grateful for bringing the duet to life.
Where to start with Little Liar? Simply put: LL is everything you didn’t know you needed from Malachi and Olivia’s story!
Having Malachi’s LS POV filled in some blanks and made me love him that much more. Not to mention it was the perfect way to jump back into the Web of Silence world and get some unexpected cameos!!
As far as I’m concerned, Leigh can do no wrong. The plot twists, betrayal, suspense, and spice all coalesce to create a satisfying conclusion to Malachi and Olivia’s happily ever after.
Malachi is back and Little liar was everything I hoped for. Part 1 of the book gave us some backstory for book 1 (little stranger). Part 2 was the rollercoaster that I hoped for and loved. There's a crossover in this book and I screamed "I KNOW THAT PERSON" at my kindle because of it, startling my cat. Whoops. This book made me sad, made me laugh and it gave me an ending to this duet that I loved 🖤
🧡🕷️’What would she do if she knew I was nothing but a little liar?’🧡🕷️
This was a beautiful masterpiece. I can’t even talk. I am just sat here stunned once again. You know what.. I am actually glad we had the first half. I missed these characters & being back in their world prior really in my eyes, helped set up for the second half of the book!
The cross over between the characters & worlds was everything I expected. AMAZING!!
Batman mask, that had me giggling🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well Malachi didn’t mess about this time with his screwdriver🪛🪛🪛
And the fact she wore a GLITTER gas mask!!!! Come on people!!!
‘Theres fucking concrete around my black heart like a shield, and she’s trapped inside it. Thats the only version of love I have, and I’ll make sure it’s always enough for Olivia to choose me, to never leave me, to love me until we grow old, die, and find each other in the void beyond.’
‘She’ll remember being my little stranger and running from this mask.’
‘Fucking hell. Really? It’s a race for life and your deep balls in your sister?’
I can’t even explain how happy I was to see the growth & development between Malachi & his Dad. I am so so happy we got to see them together more. When he said ‘Dad’ ‘I’m sorry’ & I just started balllling my eyes out!!! That was such a beautiful moment. The amount of trauma they have both been through individually and together😫
You made me want to hate their Mum even more!! You sure did. Ugh.
I’m so happy Olivia finally got her happy ending. That poor girl went through hell & back and Malachi never gave up on her. Their story will always be special in my eyes. I was so praying they would have a child together after he witnessed her with the twins & it was so heart breaking but also so amazing knowing he was reading to him😭🧡
Molly was also a favourite of mine. I am so happy Mal & her bonded so well together. The fact the spider was the highlight for Molly’s time was fantastic🤣
The fact we had a 2nd epilogue 12 years later… that was what topped it for me!!! It was already a 5 star read but make it infinity Leigh go on!
‘Keep your son away from my Daughter’ Kade warns. I smirk. Because we know thats not going to happen.’
I’m sorry.. but the ending! KADE. The man, the myth, the legend. I will be waiting for their kids story..🤭🤣
Incredible. Once again.. I will take no bad words from anyone⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐

LOVED. It gave me so much insight into the MMC, I loved that we got all the unhinged deranged things that we loved from the first but in a different way. Loved the little cross over from the Insatiable series. Just loved it. If you’re looking for dark unhinged goodness to tack on to little stranger, this is PERFECT.
I loved that the first part was the pov of Malachi from the past. It just feels complete now that you have both pov's!! And part two?? Wow amazing!! The struggle both Malachi and Olivia have to make it work. The way they are just it for each other. The whole story was amazing! You had tension, plottwists, great spicy scene. The return of characters from the edge of darkness series which made my heart so happy!
I just have to say that i loved this book so much!!
Phenomenal. Exceptional. I loved it, I loved them. ALL THE EASTER EGGS 👏🏻 Leigh did Malachi and Olivia complete and utter justice. Chefs kiss. Leigh’s character building is my favourite because I just can’t help but fall in love with every single character. Not Xander, he can sit on a cactus.
This is a dark taboo romance with extremely triggering content. The content, both on and off page, will NOT be suitable for everyone. It covers topics that may be triggering. You MUST proceed with caution; your mental health matters.
I thought LS was perfect but this right here is the crème de la crème. A literary masterpiece. The epitome of perfection.
I was screaming when I knew this duet was coming and Leigh fucking delivered. This book was EVERYTHING. I didn’t think I could love Malachi anymore but holy crap was I wrong. He had me in a chokehold in LS and that grip was even stronger in LL. He will always have a piece of my heart! This book gave a deeper insight into who he truly was a person and I ate it all up. It broke my heart into tiny pieces and my soul cried for him.
This book provides a greater understanding of LS as you get to experience more through Malachi’s point of view. It gives a deeper background into his childhood and the trauma he experienced. I really enjoyed seeing his relationship with Olivia through his eyes. The struggles he overcame were staggering. Experiencing certain feelings from his perspective made me feel closer to him as a character; it was emotionally immersive.
Leigh truly painted a stunning masterpiece with this read. The plot was brilliantly structured and gripping; it had heavy emotional conflict woven throughout with added trauma. The plot was full of twists and turns that you just didn’t see coming; it was explosive with heavy feels. The character development and growth was just out of this world. I absolutely adore how Leigh gives all her characters, even the side ones, the same level of detail and attention.
I loved the appearance of some of TEOD characters, the banter was epic! I love a book that can make me giggle whilst panting from the spice and crying from the bottom of my broken heart. This gave me ALL the feels.
This book called to the darkest parts of my soul. It pushed boundaries and kept me sitting on the edge of my seat throughout the whole read. Malachi and Olivia’s story will ALWAYS be one of my favourites. Leigh did an incredible job with this duet, I AM OBSESSED.
I loved EVERYTHING about this book. I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time to experience it all over again.

Would recommend to those on the look for a book that will rip your heart wide open and put it back together!
I’m confused like the others. There really doesn’t need to be another book for this couple the first one was enough and doesn’t have anything else to add so I feel like it would have made more sense to just keep it a stand alone. Welp.
Omg this book!!! I've been so excited to read this. And it did not disappoint! I love Malachi and Olivia with my whole heart! This book was everything I needed! Having Malachi's pov with some of the main events in his life was everything! Hearing about his upbringing before he was adopted made my heart hurt for him. I loved the progression with both Malachi and Olivia, and the spice be spicing Getting the crossover characters from the edge of darkness trilogy... I forgot how much I missed those guys. Another amazing read by Leigh Rivers. I can't wait to see what's next.
I’ll start by saying that up until halfway through the book, what was presented we had already seen in Little Stranger. The only difference is that we’re reading the events from Malachi’s point of view. But, honestly, it doesn’t change much or add anything.
After the halfway point, where the story actually starts to "work" and where this book really gets good, at least that was my experience while reading, because reading the past was quite tedious, I admit.
Here, Malachi is more "tame" compared to the first book, as in that one he was completely insane. But I’ll already say that this doesn’t mean he didn’t do anything wrong in this one, because yes, he did, horrendous things, and I won’t excuse him.
I liked Olivia in this one, but I admit that Malachi was the one who truly had the spotlight. I even thought she was a bit dim here. But she was very sweet.
One thing that I found, let’s say, degrading, was the fact that he, I don’t know... seemed to have a fetish for referring to them as siblings, as even Olivia felt uncomfortable being called his sister by him, but he didn’t care and still kept referring to them that way. That was disgusting kkkkkkkkkkk
An example:
“And don’t call me your sister, especially if you’re flirting with me or holding my hand.” I frown at her. But I’m your brother? “No, you’re my boyfriend.” I’m both. She sighs, her shoulders dropping. “You need to choose, Malachi. Am I your sister or your girlfriend?” Without hesitation, I sign, Both."
💀 wtf right?
Anyway... the funniest part of this book was definitely Base KKKKKKKKKK He never missed a single chance to crack a joke and wouldn’t shut up for a second, but the funny thing is that Malachi and Olivia managed to traumatize the poor guy to the point that he stayed quiet for a few minutes (and the scene itself was pretty strange 💀).
In the end, I liked this book, but I think the first one was better. This one was only saved around 50% in, when the flashbacks ended and the focus shifted to the present. I think this duology managed to wrap up in grand "style," I almost cried, and I’m already excited for the possible book about SPOILER... the son of Malachi and Olivia with Kadestacey ’s daughter.
Malachi Vize has always had one desire in life. One goal. One deep obsession he could never give up on.
His foster sister Olivia.
For the first time, she’s chosen him over the entire world, and he intends to keep her in his firm grasp forever – but his happiness is soon shattered by powerful enemies who want to claim Olivia for themselves.
He had her. But then he lost her.
Wounded and still wrestling with his own demons, Malachi is forced into unexpected alliances to hunt them down, but he won’t stop fighting until he gets her back.
No matter what it takes.

My thoughts:
Hmmmm where to start? This book has been my most anticipated read of the year. And I was not disappointed! My admiration for Leigh keeps growing with each book I read. And I can’t wait to read everything she puts out! I’m so happy I am part of the “team”
The dedication almost had me in tears, and by the end of chapter one, I was!
PART 1 - Malachi’s POV! We start out learning about Malachi as a child and what he went through and how he come to be part of the Vize family. We go back with some Little Stranger reminiscing. We even get our most asked for tent scene in Malachi’s POV! We get to part 2 and we learn more about what Olivia was up to during the 8 years they were separated. Also a little about how she became a Vize. Her foster mother is a real winner! (Insert deep eye roll and long slow blink). Thats all I’m going to say about that. Reading about Malachi’s life progression and how he got stronger even with some struggles made me so happy. The progress in the relationship between Malachi and Olivia was beautiful. I love these two with my whole heart.
There was so many things I didn’t see coming. Throwing in some of my favorites from TEOD too…. I missed those guys! I giggled, I shouted, I gasped! My heart was ripped from my body and stomped on and then it was repaired and replaced by the epilogues. I really wish this book didn’t have to end. I need to know what happens with some newly mentioned characters!
“I’m one man. But I’ll fight. For you, I’d do anything.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

We finally got Malachi’s POV from way back then and omg it was perfect. He’s so broken inside and it broke me too when we found out about his upbringing 😭
Yes he’s unhinged, yes he’s possessive but god he loves SO SO hard. Olivia is HIS everything. His world. And gosh it’s cute. (And creepy - but we love that).
“We don’t have much time. This needs to be quick. Imagine pulling up at the safehouse with our father waiting, and I’m balls deep in my sister?” - DEAD 💀
And then we’re blessed with more Sebastian and Tobias and it was the perfect crossover from the edge of darkness trilogy.
“Tobes. Help me,” Base says into the phone pressed to his ear. “The siblings are fucking in the backseat, and I’m certain the mute just spoke.” - HAHAHA I love him
…guys they’re foster siblings. It’s taboo, it’s forbidden but we loveeeeeee.
This story, the epilogues x2, the EVERYTHING!!! I needed this so much! Malachi has me in a puddle! Every time he speaks, I immediately melt!
The glimpses and tidbit of every single character in this story, the CROSSOVER!! I love it and want it all! The suspense, the action, the love, heartache, forbiddennes, betrayal, and the list keeps going! A little bit of everything you so darkly desire wrapped in one.
Leigh and her forever brilliant mind! The darkness that consumes you.. it’s a YES for me! I am sad this story is officially over but the ending and the journey that led up to that moment, deliciously dark and BEAUTIFUL!
