Chasing Islands
The tides have turned for Topher Brooks. The scandal has passed, the West Coast Hooligans are back together, and his relationship with his brother Vin is smooth sailing once again. With a new California surf tour starting next year, Topher is training harder than ever to represent the USA in the big leagues. Sloane Harrington’s life is in shambles. Since the St. Catalina Island Resort sold and her dad lost his job in the deal, her family is scraping to get by. OMG!! What a wild trip, chasing shark, fucking in the back of a borrowed van with a girl he met two weeks ago, Topher really did have the wild trip of his life

I might be a lil biased here but Topher will forever be my favorite hooligan. I recently re-read Drenaline Surf in preparation for Topher’s book and I re fell in love with the wild child he is. I can’t wait to read about Miles & Emily’s wedding and I hope for a Vin & Haley wedding bonus scene (please?). But most of all, I hope we see more Sloane. I hope Sloane & Topher find each other again and go on more adventures.
I absolutely LOVED the Shark adventures in this book. My absolute favorite part - even more than the typical Topher craziness - was chapter 12 & any other chapter that told about Shark. I absolutely adored reading about the adventures he had been on with the Hooligans in the past. 12 was by FAR my favorite chapter (coincidentally, my favorite number!)
If you take anything - AYTHING - from this book, it should be to be yourself and not let anyone make you into someone you’re not. Anyway I love my baby Topher and I’m so glad he went on his own Shark adventure (also the ending was cute as HECK)
