Roxy is preparing for Honey Springs’s annual Friendsgiving Harvest Festival, when a scream somewhere on the boardwalk turns everything to chaos. The spotlight rescue pet is a dog named Deputy who seems to have a nose for trouble leads Roxy on a sprint to ends a scarecrow. Unfortunately the scarecrow isn’t what it appears which means once again Roxy runs head first into a murder investigation.

If you’re looking for a cozy mystery with humor, southern charm, rescue fur babies, and a touch of romance look no further. Returning to Honey Springs at the best time of the year, Fall, first stop The Bean Hive to have a great cup of coffee. Visiting with Roxy, the fur babies, and the other residents you can always expect some great southern charm, a few quirky characters, best gossip, and a few laughs. I do like Roxy and of course all the sweet fur babies, but Aunt Maxie sure knows how to make things interesting. The mystery has plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.

What a joy to be in Honey Springs, Kentucky in autumn, Roxy’s favorite season! Preparations are almost completed for the Friendsgiving Harvest Festival. Roxy and her staff at her coffeehouse, Bean Hive, are putting final touches on her uniquely-frosted cookies and other treats for the opening night of the festival. Roxy loves her life with her husband, Patrick, Bean Hive, her family, friends, and dogs, and her work. It doesn’t matter how busy she gets, she takes time to delight in and be thankful for the cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and autumn flowers. The author tenderly paints a gorgeous picture with colors, scents, sounds, and even the early morning fog over Lake Honey Springs.

Louise from the Pet Palace brought a hound dog to the Bean Hive as part of a program with Roxy to foster a ready-to-adopt pet each week. Deputy is a lovable dog who has a few little issues to iron out. At his first opportunity, Deputy ran out the door, first chasing a running man to the marina where he leapt into a motorboat and took off. He then led the not-so-merry chase back, past the coffee shop, to the pier, with Roxy, Aunt Maxi, and Loretta running behind. The dog finally sat, where he led Roxy to a woman who had been murdered and hidden in plain sight in an unusual disguise.

Thanks to their calling Deputy’s name, Gloria, a recently promoted sheriff’s deputy, arrived. Spencer, the local sheriff, arrived at the scene within minutes. Roxy spoke briefly with Spencer and the coroner. She has helped solve several murders since moving to Honey Springs. She keeps her law license active, even though she rarely practices. The combination of her legal experience and spending every day with the locals at the Bean Hive gives her access to some of the most interesting information (gossip) available.

The deceased was Jennifer Armstrong, wife of Aiken Armstrong, who owns the majority share of the local resort and spa. Both are very active in the community, and her loss was hard for everyone to comprehend. At first, Roxy wasn’t going to get involved because of the festival and preparations for her Friendsgiving Day dinner for family, friends, and staff. Her curiosity took over and she and Aunt Maxi were ready to find a bad guy. The threats Roxy received only made her more determined to find whodunit.

The one thing that could make finding Jennifer’s killer difficult is that everybody liked her! She was a pleasant, diligent, meticulous woman who prioritized what would be best for her husband, their company, and the businesses they invested in. With the festival ongoing and many tourists and children present, they had to stop the person. My wild guesses about whodunit were very wild, as I had considered several people, but not the real killer. I enjoyed “watching” the chase, “listening” to the ladies, and “seeing” Deputy bond with his new human. I appreciated the surprise capture even more. I highly recommend Ice Coffee Corruption, especially to those who enjoy the charm of a well-written Southern cozy mystery, coffee and pastry flavors of the season, and the kind of festival that celebrates residents and tourists of all ages.

From a thankful heart: I received an uncorrected copy of this novel, and this is my honest review.

It's fall now in Honey Springs, Kentucky and time for the Friendsgiving Harvest Festival with fun and activities for the townspeople and tourists. There's even a scarecrow scavenger hunt. Roxy and her crew at her coffee shop, The Bean Hive, are putting some finishing touches on some cookies for the booth for the festival when Louise from the Pet Palace brought a hound dog, Deputy, to the Bean Hive since Roxy fosters a ready-to-adopt pet each week and has been very successful finding the pets forever homes. But Deputy has some listening problems it seems when the door to Roxy's shop opens, he busts out and chases a man to the marina with Roxy, Aunt Maxi and Loretta following behind. The man jumps into a boat and takes off and Deputy goes over to a scarecrow on the boardwalk and sits. When Roxy and the other two caught up and looked at the scarecrow Deputy was sitting by, shock! It was a dead person in the costume and they called the police right away. Seems it was Jennifer Armstrong, wife of Aiken Armstrong, who owns the local resort and spa. Who was the man who got away? Was he a murderer? Of course, although Roxy and Aunt Maxi and Loretta should enjoy thee festival, they set up a murder board. With so many twists and turns and some surprises we are taken on a ride to the surprising end. This is the 15th book in the series and it is a great addition to the series. I highly recommend this whole series and I can't wait to see what's next in store for Roxy and crew. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

It is another adventure in the Killer Coffee Mystery series, and the wonderful world of the Bean Hive Coffee House. The descriptions of the wonderful smells of coffee and treats makes my mouth water. The gossip is worse in the coffee house than a busy beauty shop. If you want to know what is going on in the town, just stop in for a cup of coffee.

It is autumn in Honey Springs, which means it is time for the Harvest Festival. A scream is heard and the newest rescue dog, Deputy, who is currently residing at the coffee house, leads Roxy on a chase that she will not soon forget. A body is found disguised as a scarecrow. Roxy is determined to find out what happened. Roxy is the owner and entrepreneur of the coffee house, but she is not your average barista. She also holds a law degree and keen nose for sleuthing. She is also fearless and determined. There are plenty of red herrings and several major surprises along the way.

The wonderful and colorful cast of characters provide plenty of engaging scenes. Aunt Maxi provides some great southern humor which had me chuckling out loud. This is #15 in the series, yet every new installment is new, lively and energetic with an unforgettable cast of characters and a warm mystery which will require your thinking cap. This is the perfect book to put you in the mood for cooler temperatures and fall festivals.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ice Coffee Corruption is the 15th book in Tonya Kappes’ Killer Coffee Mystery series. The book takes place during the annual Friendsgiving Harvest Fest. The Bean Hive and every other business in town is ramping up for the festivities. When Roxy’s latest rescue pup who is up for adoption sniffs his way to the town scarecrow no one expects it to be a real person in a disguise. A real, and very dead, person. Now, while trying to keep Honey Springs out of the limelight and get the festival back on track, Roxy finds herself immersed in another perplexing case.

Ice Coffee Corruption pulls you in and keeps you engaged. The mystery was well-written and kept me on my toes. I found myself continually guessing who the murderer could be throughout the story. Every time I thought I knew who the suspect was, something would happen, and I’d have to try and figure it out again. I love that in a mystery - fill the book full of twists and turns, red herrings, and deliberate misdirects so I have a tough time figuring everything out.

I enjoyed all the characters. The world building had me feeling like I was right in the middle of Honey Springs. I was able to visualize the town, the activities, and the people.

In the charming town of Lake Honey Springs, the air is crisp with autumn anticipation as Friendsgiving approaches. The community gathers for a lively Harvest Festival, complete with corn mazes, scarecrows, and an unexpected twist: a mysterious murder. Roxy, a tenacious amateur sleuth, finds herself embroiled in the investigation, aided by a dog she’s fostering at the Bean Hive. The clues pile up—a scream in the night, a fleeing suspect in a stolen boat—and all point to the victim: the wife of a powerful real-estate developer. Could Roxy’s ex-husband, Kirk, be involved? Armed with her legal acumen, Roxy dives into the case, relentlessly questioning everyone to uncover the truth. But red herrings abound, and danger lurks around every corner. Can Roxy solve the puzzle before she becomes the next target? This gripping tale promises suspense, twists, and page-turning intrigue that will keep readers guessing until the final revelation. Loved it!

Ice Coffee Corruption is another exciting installment in Kappes' killer coffee cozy mystery series. I always look forward to new installments in this series, and this latest definitely doesn't disappoint. Honey Springs is enjoying autumn eagerly anticipating its Friendsgiving Harvest Festival. Roxy is busy with the festivities when she unexpectedly comes across a very real dead body. Putting on her sleuthing cap, Roxy is determined to solve this case and keep her beloved town safe.

Kappes sets up an entertaining read that captures the reader's interest from the very beginning. I also really enjoyed seeing all of my secondary characters back to help Roxy solve this case. The book's mystery is well done full of enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. Overall Ice Coffee Corruption proved to be a great read that I would most definitely recommend.

Community, love, and resilience

Fall is in the air in Honey Springs, Kentucky. The Friendsgiving Harvest Festival is in full swing. Caramel apples (a favorite of mine in the fall), roasted nuts making the air smell so delicious. Carnival rides, crafts to make the festival fun for young and old.
A scream and a body disguised as a scarecrow. Oh, and don’t forget the chase of Deputy…. he’s the Pet Palace dog now at the Bean Hive looking for his forever home.
If you are looking for hot gossip you will find it at the Bean Hive along with hot coffee.
Looks like Roxy, Aunt Maxi and Bunny will be doing some snooping. Well, at least keeping their ears to the ground and eyes open.
Friendship, community, small town, mystery. A great way to escape for a few hours.

I received an ARC prior to publication and decided to voluntarily review it.

Roxy is as happy as can be with Fall arriving in Honey Springs and the Friendsgiving Harvest Fest starting. Business is great at the Bean Hive and with the banter of her Aunt Maxi and Loretta being the highlight of the day, she was thrilled. Then Louise from Pet Palace walks in with Deputy, a dog that she is hoping Roxy will be able to find a home for since she helps the local shelter find placements for dogs and cats by having them in her coffee shop. When a scream pierces the air, Deputy takes off flying out the door with Roxy, Aunt Maxi and Loretta in hot pursuit. And of course, he leads them to a dead body stuffed inside a scarecrow. Now, Roxy is off to investigate after being told to keep her nose out of it. In an adventure that involves ex's, secrets and scarecrows, you'll love this read.

This review contains no elaborate descriptions or spoilers, only what you need to know: This cozy mystery is wonderful. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves cozy mysteries and simply loves to read books. Great mystery with twists and turns, will keep you guessing and constantly changing your mind about 'whodunit!' Although you might want to read the others in the series first, there is enough of a backstory for the reader to enjoy this book as a standalone.
The Bean Hive Coffee Cafe is the center of another well-told mystery with fun, quirky characters that you both love to love and love to hate. Their escapades will have you furiously swiping the pages of your Kindle to get to the last page. Satisfying ending with Roxy and her cast of characters solving yet another small-town mystery. Get this now!

The latest edition in the Killer Coffee Cozy Mystery Series is making me look forward to fall and the changing leaves. Honey Springs is getting ready for Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving.

Right before the start of the Friendsgiving Harvest Fest was officially opened, the body of the wife of a local developer was found dead. It’s up to Roxy, Aunt Maxi and others to help the Sheriff find the killer. The mystery was well developed and I was surprised by the reveal of the killer.

The characters are wonderful and you can’t help but root for Roxy and her family and friends.

This time the Pet Palace pet that is brought to the Bean Hive is a hound dog named Deputy. He actually helps find the murdered woman and chases a suspect to the pier. Fortunately he also finds his own forever home.

I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy of this entertaining read.

Ice Coffee Corruption is book #15 in the Killer Coffee Mystery series by Tonya Kappes.

It’s fall in Honey Springs and time for the Friendsgiving Harvest Fest. Deputy, the latest dog up for adoption finds a body and Roxy is on the case without any regard to her person safety while chasing after the killer. I enjoy the characters and setting. Aunt Maxi and Loretta’s verbal sparring is always entertaining. It’s fun meeting the rescues that Roxy finds fur-ever homes for. I guessed the murderer but not the reason why. There are yummy recipes at the end. This was a fun book to read and get into the autumn state of mind.

I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Its Friendsgiving Harvest Fest time and excitement is in the air. Could not put this cozy mystery down rom start to finish. Loved all the visuals of fall days while reading the adventures of Roxy Bloom, self proclaimed woman detective. Roxy is the owner of a coffee shop known as The Bean Hive. She has many able and helpful assistants particularly Aunt Maxi and Bunny.
Roxy believes in helping all residents of Honey Springs, Kentucky. She agrees to showcase a dog for the Pet Palace named Deputy. A scream is heard and Deputy is on alert leading Roxy and Aunt Maxi to a dead body stuffed as a scarecrow. Roxy, a nonpracticing lawyer, sorts through many clues to solve this mystery. An enjoyable cozy mystery with a lot of Southern charm.

It’s fall and it’s time for the Friendship Harvest festival In Honey Springs. Roxy is beyond thrilled it’s her favorite time of the year again. Roxy has another puppy from the local rescue that she is sponsoring in her coffee shop The Bean Hive so she can hopefully find little Deputy. Things go south quickly when Deputy the rescue pup finds a dead body disguised as a scarecrow. Roxy is even more drawn in when a note is discovered that casts doubt on a fellow townsperdon and sponsor of the festival.

I love visiting Honey Springs! The characters are so relatable and I always feel like I belong there when I read the books. A perfect blend of murder, family, friends and Southern charm.

I thoroughly enjoyed this southern cozy that finds Roxy, our amateur sleuth, former attorney, current coffee shop owner, preparing for the Friendgiving Harvest Festival. Louise brings Deputy, a hound looking for a forever home, into the Bean Hive, and Roxy agrees to try when they hear a scream and see a person run down the boardwalk. Deputy takes off after the runner and Roxy and Aunt Maxi give chase. The runner jumps in a boat and takes off while Deputy sits at the Marina. When Roxy and Aunt Maxi catch up Deputy starts running back to the coffee shop Roxy again gives chase. This time Deputy stops on the pier and Roxy realizes that something is terribly wrong. Of course, Roxy and Aunt Maxi must begin an investigation and assist Sheriff Spencer in his search for the killer.

The Honey Springs Friendsgiving Harvest Festival is gearing up, but things are anything but festive. After a scream is heard, Deputy, the latest Pet Palace adoption pup, takes off at a run out of the Bean Hive with Roxy, Aunt Maxi, and Loretta giving chase. When they finally catch up to the pup, they also discover a dead body.

Roxy and her team attempt to solve the crime before it affects the festival and the town’s reputation. There are several suspects, a few clues, a big surprise, threats, danger, twists, turns, and more, and Roxy gets herself into a bit of trouble.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This one is heartwharming i loved Deputy though i imagined that it would be spencer giving him an home, Roxy is enjoying the festivities, reading to show her friends how much they count but she was not expecting to come across a new murder....
Determined to find the culprit despite the risks, Roxy will do her best to give Jennifer some justice...while having a success with her booth at the festival and of course teh coffeehouse.

A great southern cozy mystery with action, a bit of tension, humour, great pets and recipes and that will leave you with an happy feeling and a want for some coffee

This is the fifteenth in the Killer Coffee Series by Tonya Kappes. I felt the story had a good premise but the execution was not as I had hoped. The reveal was rushed and disappointing for me.

I found the discovery of the body intriguing. A woman, displayed as a scarecrow, down by the lake.
Deputy, new Bean Hive fur-ever adoptee candidate, did an excellent job and provided comedy while leading the ladies to the body.

This ARC was much better edited than past ARCs.
I cannot wait to try all the recipes included at the back of the book.

I was given an advanced readers copy and these are solely my opinions.

The upcoming Friendgiving Harvest Festival is almost here when a person is killed and found dressed as a scarecrow. Now Roxy Bloom Cane, a non-practicing lawyer and owner of the Bean Hive coffee shop is a woman determined to find the killer and begins asking questions of potential witnesses or will she be questioning the killer? When she is threatened, she realizes she has a target on her back and may be in real danger. Tonya Kappes never fails to write a great story that keeps me engaged until the last page. This book is another winner. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

It's fall in Honey Springs and it's time for the annual Friendsgiving Festival! The whole town has gone all out decorating for the season with scarecrows, pumpkins, cornstalks and fall flowers all over town. The only problem is one of the scarecrows is actually a dead body and Roxy Bloom just happens to find it! We all know that Roxy just can't resist the temptation of jumping into the investigation either! Full of twists and turns, some very quirky characters, some very lovable dogs, and plenty of laughs! I would love to go sit in Roxy's coffee shop for a cup of joe, a wonderful pastry and hours of watching all the action!

This book is the 15th book in this series; I’ve read all the previous books, but this book could stand alone surprisingly well. I love the setting of Honey Springs, a lovely small town in Kentucky near a lake. The setting is autumn and the fun festival the town is celebrating. I love the main character, Roxie, who owns a coffeehouse and always gets involved in solving any local crimes. When there’s an ugly murder, she feels the need to assist the sheriff, and she’s got plenty of suspects to investigate. I can definitely recommend this book and the series; I was provided an arc, which I really appreciate, but these opinions are my own.

This book was so much fun! Not only was the pet of the book an awesome sniffer-outer hound named Deputy who was good at finding clues to the case, but Aunt Maxi got to do some snooping again with Roxy. Those two make an amazing pair and Roxy knew that sometimes having her feisty aunt nearby could be a very good thing.

I loved the food, fellowship and Friendsgiving ending. Oh and of course Deputy got his forever home too, but you’ll need to read and see who the lucky new dog parent is. And if you love coffee, beware that you’ll be craving it while reading so maybe just have some ready to enjoy. But I’m sure there’s nothing out there quite like Roxy’s blends.

When Roxy, Aunt Maxi, and Loretta go chasing after him, Deputy leads them to a body that has been cleverly disguised as a scarecrow.

Roxy and the team begin investigating the murder and discover several clues and suspects along the way. Will Roxy be able to solve the murder and catch the killer before the festival is ruined and the town’s reputation is shattered?

Honey Springs is gearing up for their annual Friendsgiving Harvest Festival. Roxy has a new pet from the Pet Palace, a pup named Deputy. When a scream is heard outside, Deputy charges out the door, with Roxy, Aunt Maxi, and Loretta trailing behind. He leads them to a scarecrow on the dock, except the scarecrow is a dead body. Thus begins the next exciting mystery at the Bean Hive. Can Roxy find the clues and piece together what happened or will she be the next victim? Another great story with plenty of action, clues, and story lines that lead to the exciting conclusion.

I won this one in a giveaway, and I'm so glad that I did! I had seen it, and I wanted to read it. It was the first of the series that I've read, but it won't be the last!

This was a great cozy mystery, in and of itself, but the fall vibes were also perfect for the seasonal theme that I wanted!

I love the writing style and the characters. This was an enjoyable cozy from start to finish, and I'm definitely going to keep reading within this collection! I'd highly recommend this to those who love cozies and would also like a fall-themed book to enjoy as the season approaches!
