Sometimes a groupie’s heart craves the wrong rock star…
Lindsey Parker’s entire life changed the night a wayward sperm decided she should become a mother. Unfortunately, she’s not sure who fathered her child one wild winter night on Sole Regret’s tour bus. Ostracized by her community, shunned by her family, and abandoned by her friends, Lindsey seeks help from the band member who put her in this desperate position. She hopes her baby’s father is Owen Mitchell—Sole Regret’s sweetheart of a bass player, who took her in when she had nowhere else to go. He’d make an excellent dad, a loving, supportive husband, and he’s gorgeous to boot, but he currently loves another woman. Can Lindsey convince her favorite rock star to love her instead?

But not all rock stars are in a band…
Sergeant Chad Mitchell’s entire life changed the day he triggered an explosive device. He lost more than his leg and his brilliant bomb-sniffing dog on that battlefield. When Chad opens his eyes to an ethereal beauty’s smiling face, he’s sure that he has died and gone to heaven. But can angels get pregnant? He soon discovers that Lindsey is no angel, but he can’t help being drawn to the one person who doesn’t look at him and compare what’s left to his former glory. She admires him for who his is now. Too bad her heart belongs to his rock star little brother. Can Chad convince his favorite groupie to love him instead?

Lindsey agrees to help Chad recover at home, but due to their undeniable attraction to each other, close quarters lead to compromising positions. Together they provide the emotional support the other needs to forge onward to their uncertain futures. But when Lindsey finally discovers who fathered her baby, will that inescapable reality end her time with Chad, or be their true beginning?

Well, this story went in a completely different direction than I expected. However, the baby daddy mystery is finally revealed and turned out to be nothing like I expected so if you think you know, you may be surprised ☺

This book focuses more on Lindsey than the guys in Sole Regret but they do all make appearances in this story as all of these stories cross over each other. We get to know Lindsey as more than the band groupie and see her caring, nurturing side as she takes care of Chad, Owen’s brother.

Chad has returned from military service with a life changing injury. One of the first people he sees is Lindsey and she looks like an angel. After finding out she is in fact human, he is initially sceptical about her intentions with Owen but once he spends time with her he realises she is little broken too.

Lindsey doesn’t look at Chad with pity, in fact she makes him want to keep fighting for a future. Chad would love for Lindsey to stop pining for Owen and turn that devotion towards him. He doesn’t care that she is carrying another man’s baby, he will do anything to put a smile on her face and would be honored to take care of them both.

This was a lovely story of hope and love. Turns out that Olivia has more in store for this couple so there will be a novella out next before we the final story in this fun series.

In this charming romance, a former groupie who has fucked an entire band and their bus driver one night is trying to find out who knocked her up. Since none of the maybe daddies want her, her only hope now is one of the band members returned from war, disabled brother. He of course, ends up finding her charming and considers her baby a gift. After their first time together, complete with her sighing 'I thought your brother was good in bed' the two brothers joke about it - cause sharing a pregnant groupie is so cool.

We get to wade through more chapters of literal crap focusing on Lindsey and Owen screwing most of the time, as she valiantly tries to make him feel better after he was dumped by his fiance. Within a month he wants to be the father of her baby and is in love with her. Meanwhile she's trying to figure out who out of six guys is her kids dad. Of course it turns out to be the biggest asshole. And then asshole, with little drama is ok with the whole situation and shows up at the birth. Cue cliffhanger as Owen worries about Adam being part of their life forever.

Reading this shit was worse than writing the review believe me. Lindsey is pathetic, like truly pathetic, she contributes nothing to the book besides the great ability to whine and lie. Owen over compensates for losing a limb to the point he's worse than a caricature and no one else basically has much of a personality. The writing also can't elevate any of this material. How this was ever a successful series is beyond me - except it was the 2010's and well..... if you want to suffer from the beginning... luckily I skipped to the end and got to avoid most of this mess.

It's been awhile since I've gone on about an Olivia Cunning book. I've forgotten what I was missing. Although I was disgusted about the orgy and try to forget it we still have fall out. The men were not as affected but Lindsey was.....a baby and who is Daddy. Some of the band is helpful in helping figure paternity and some not.

The bigger story was Owens brother, Chad.
Returning from Afghanistan wounded he joins Owens household where he meets Lindsey.

Lots of love and adjustments.

I liked this book. I can’t say I really remember why the band broke up or why Owen and Kellen aren’t speaking but having the main focus on Lindsey and Chad’s story’s was perfect. They both have issues but their love for each other was sweet and I can’t wait for more.

I couldn’t wait to read this one seeing that it’s been years since reading about Lindsey and her Christmas Eve excursions. Waiting to find out who her baby daddy was was hard. LOL! I loved how Olivia took her time with this one, making Chad, Owen’s brother, a part of the Sole Regret series. His story was sad with what he went through and Olivia wrote just enough to have us wanting more of his story. Lindsey lost her job, her friends and her family when they found out how she became pregnant. She then found her way back to the band to let them know one of them was the daddy (story in a different book). She always seemed clingy and wanting someone to love her, which was probably a product of her childhood. Softy Owen felt bad for her and took her in until she could get back on her feet. She was sure that Owen would be the one to make her dreams come true. While silently hoping he would break things of with Caitlin, she then met his brother and she started feeling things she hadn’t with Owen. Chad needed her. He needed her to help take care of him until he was able to get back on two feet. There was a connection that neither knew what to make of, afraid that they would lose each other if they voiced their opinion of how they each felt. I liked how things escalated with them getting to know each other, although neither really dug into their past of problems, so hopefully there will be more of that in their next book. I also liked that the other band members were included in this book as well. Oh and when I thought I knew who the baby daddy was? Yeah, I was wrong. LOL! So it shocked me a bit to actually find out who it turned out to be. All in all it was a really good book. Can’t wait for the next one!

I don’t even know what to say about the mess I just paid for and read.
I used to love Olivia’s books, but lately I feel like I’m just reading a bunch of half-baked cliches tossed in a blender and then dumped out in the semblance of a book.

The plot was almost comical at times, and being the spouse of a military vet, a complete disservice and joke to those who truly have been injured and are recovering from combat.

Let me tell you, the entire plot line and pace of the book from chad’s injury, to being dumped in the hospitable by his fiancé, to sleeping with the pregnant girl who isn’t sure if his brother is the father, his PTSD nightmares, healing enough to walk with a prosthesis and then moving in with her and proposing...in the span of maybe 2-3 months?

Not healthy and not likely and laughable at best.

Then to top it off dropping a hint of her boss possibly being the father to suddenly Adam is the father was just another gimmick to milk a few more books out of a series that should have ended several books ago.

I’m about to read book 3 of the Exodus End series and now I’m not sure if I’m going to regret that purchase as well.

Disappointed!

Yes we find out who the father is but the book should no be considered as one of the "Sole Regret Series" as it is about Lindsey and Chad who are NOT members of the band.

Even though the father is a member the book is not about the members of the band for that matter. They all play a small part in this book and I mean small. All except Owen as he is Chafe brother.

The book was NOT worth the money or time waiting for the book to come out. I currently own all of the series but very much doubt I will continue with it.

I'm ready for this series to be over. I did not want the baby to be for any of them. I thought it would come out that her old boss took advantage of her and she didn't know since she was drunk.

I was so happy this book finally came out and it didn't disappoint because Lindsey gets some happy.
Lindsey is still living with Owen and she thinks she is in love with him until Lindsey meets Chad, Owen's older brother. Chad is a Marine who is badly injured, when he wakes up, Lindsey and Owen are by his side and he think she is an angel. When his girlfriend dumps him because she can't handle his injuries, Lindsey becomes his friend and salvation. Even after he finds out that Lindsey don't know who the dad is, he still wants her and to take care of her. But he thinks her feeling for his brother are stronger than they are. Lindsey and Chad start dating and become a couple. All this is happening while Lindsey is trying to find out who the dad is.
SPOILER - I wasn't happy when I found out!! I was glad it isn't Owen, that would have been hard with Lindsey falling in love with Chad. But I was hoping it was Kellan's. I would have liked to see how Kellan handled it being Lindsey looks so much like his dead girlfriend (wife? its been a while lol) and I feel Kellan is the most confused person out of all the band.
Now I just wish the band will get there SHIT together and get back together!! Love this series, it is just taking a very long long time.

This is not a standalone book.

This is the story of the aftermath of the infamous orgies in book 0.5, Linsey is pregnant now and has absolutely no idea who is the real daddy out of those 6 men: the one she wants the most and the sweetest - Owen, the married bus driver Tax, the manwhore frontman Shade/Jacob, the recovering drug addict of lead guitarist Adam, the emotionally unavailable rhythm guitarist Kellen/Kelly and the sans scalp tattoos drummer Gabe.
Owen, the cinnamon roll is always nice and responsible, good enough to take care of Linsey before she found out her own way, BUT he is not available, he is happily in love with the other one.
The story then led us to his wounded veteran older brother Chad Mitchell, recovering from a horrible accident that bought him home forever. Linsey and Chad met in an unexpected circumstance, the sparks were there. Linsey treated him without judgment and didn't compare him with his past, that's exactly what he wanted.

I love this couple and the ending is very heartwarming.
Recommend for any Sole Regret die-hard fans.

If you’re a fan of Sole Regret’s and have read the previous books in the series. Reading that this book was about Owen’s brother Chad (that we learned previously was injured in the line of duty) and Lindsey (the fan who with her BFF had a sexy Christmas Eve with the Entire group as well as Tex the driver), there was a bit of predictability that Chad and Lindsey would be the “couple” in this story. Even having an idea of what might happen and where this story was going, I loved every word! Lindsey’s character ended up being extremely likable and relatable. Chad character was one I wishes was even broader, so admirable and real (read the remarks following the end of the story). I throughly enjoyed this romance: especially the realness, uncertainty, insecurities and unconditionalness. Thank you to Olivia Cunning for another sexy romance...so good!

I was not expecting Lindsey to get her own book but after reading it, I'm glad she did. After reading her story, my opinion of her has changed. I think that her and Chad are just perfect together. They don't see each other the way everyone else sees them. Lindsey sees Chad as a very capable, whole man and Chad doesn't care about her current condition or how she got there. I don't think the father of her baby has anything to do with the band. The test results are back and almost everyone has been eliminated as the father but the one left standing I don't believe is the father. I'm glad that they are going to get another book and I can't wait until the next book comes out.

Disappointed

As a Sole Regret fan, I was disappointed in this book. This book seemed to be more of a Lindsey book than Owen’s. I was glad to hear who Lindsey’s baby daddy is, but I totally thought it was her co-worker. Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy it, but the writing did seem off a little than any of the other books in this series. It almost seemed that someone else wrote this book and put in some of Olivia’s writing style to it. Anyway, I hope the other books to come are as great as the first ones. :)

As only Olivia can write!

I love this series because only Olivia can create these characters you hate to love, but she really brought Lindsey around. She really took this adventure in a different direction and added to the evolution of the story. But as with the first 11 parts of the series, the combination of angst and heart of a bunch of tortured soles was consistent. Plus we got some great insights into the band from different perspectives. I can’t wait to see how this goes!!

Mild spoiler possibly. I read these reviews before reading this book. I will say we do NOT know who the father of the baby is. Four of the five band members, and the bus driver, took a paternity test. The fifth band member DIDN'T take the paternity test, so by process of elimination it's decided the fifth band member is the father. The book also eluded to a New Year's Eve incident with her co-worker. My money is on the co-worker. I loved the story of Chad and Lindsey though, and can't wait for the rest of the series.

This series is brilliant, just when you have assumptions about where the story is going to it veers off somewhere else. I can't say that I have been a big fan of Lindsey's up until this book. I loved the way that the story developed and how Chad was in focus. These books just keep getting better and better. I have my ideas of what's going to happen next and I am looking forward to seeing how wrong I am!

“Over me, under me, above me, beside me, I’ll never tire of looking at you.”

So sweet for Chad and Lindsey. He’s a gem. And she turns out to not be a conniving whore. Just a fangirling one. Who quickly matures.

Ended up well for Lindsey. Glad I didn’t skip over this spin-off. The baby’s father is sort of revealed big not confirmed. And if it end up being what is hinted at, I’ll be disappointed. Off to the next one!

$LUT SHAMING Book!

Lindsey fulfills a fantasy of a one time hot sex orgy with her favorite band members. No different from what the male band members do ALL the time. Owen is a baby daddy candidate who “ supports her” but says “she’s easy” and slut shames her!! WHAT?? And Owen is supposed to be a sympathetic character? Why would a female write this? Come on, we can do better.

Brilliant! Lindsey's story rocks too.

I loved this book. Finally Lindsey has her own story and Chad has the start of his. Olivia Cunning is so clever the way she has weaved this series together, so many different strands. Can't wait to hear more about them all, and after the big baby daddy reveal I am looking forward to see how the relationship develops there too!

Wow

OMG if I could give this book a 10 I would. Chad’s heart wrenching story along with Lindsey’s could not have been more perfect together. They need each other so much, and Daisy will be a great addition. Please Olivia please hurry I can’t take all this time between books. I love these characters too much to wait!

Repetitive reiteration. Poor continuity, timeline problems. Lacked the humor I'm accustomed to in her books.

Ms. Cunning explains in Author Notes at the end of the book that this story was originally intended to come at the end of the series, but when she decided on the father of Lindsey's baby, she had to insert it before continuing with the other books.

Sole Regret...

This book (like the others) was beautifully written. I loved how Chad was incorporated into this book. Also Loved how these 2 broken people, got together, fell in love and in the process slowly healing themselves.

I can only hope Adam's final book is as good as this one...

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! First, this is definitely the first time I have liked Lindsey in any of the Sole Regret books. Second, I love Chad and thought he was amazing! As much as I love books about rock stars, a disabled war hero finding love is very fulfilling. This story was beautiful, sexy, and so sweet! I'm rooting for you, Chad and Lindsey!

Don't read!

My problem is not the story but the fact that the author ghosted her readers and has left us hanging for FIVE years after getting invested in these stories. That's not acceptable so if you haven't read any of these books, don't start now unless you want to be left hanging.
