Cũng giống như đa phần các tác phẩm khác của Marc Levy, cuốn này có đoạn mở đầu rất lê thê nhưng về sau thì lại hấp dẫn bất ngờ. Nôm na là mình đã mất vài ngày để đọc đoạn đầu, nhưng chỉ vài giờ để đọc đoạn cuối :))
Mình đọc nó trong lúc đang ốm và sốt và đau đầu, nên những cái loằng ngoằng kiểu ai là kiếp trước kiếp sau của ai đã khiến mình phải đọc đi đọc lại vài lần mới hiểu được. Nên lẽ ra mình ko mất đến những 7 ngày để đọc hết quyển này đâu.
Càng đọc càng thấy bác Marc Levy có những kiến thức uyên bác đến lạ lùng. Những kiến thức về nước hoa trong Chuyến du hành kỳ lạ của ngài Daldry, kiến thức về thần kinh học trong Nếu em không phải một giấc mơ, tâm lý học trong Người trộm bóng và Một ý niệm khác về hạnh phúc, giờ là kiến thức về hội họa và nghệ thuật trong Kiếp sau, đều được trình bày một cách hết sức mạch lạc và chặt chẽ. Mình đang tò mò trong cuốn sách sắp ra mắt Chuyện chàng nàng, bác ấy sẽ viết về kiến thức gì đây :D
Ko mấy liên quan, nhưng chừng nào Nhã Nam còn làm sách của bác Marc Levy và bác Ichikawa Takuji thì Trang còn yêu Nhã Nam nhiều!!!!!

“Kiếp Sau”, tựa như Romeo và Juliet thời hiện đại, nhưng rẻ hơn

Cuốn này xứng đáng là chuyện tình Romeo and Juliet thời hiện đại, đâu phải chuyện tình nào cũng làm rơi lệ được một đứa vốn chai sạn trước mấy thể loại ngôn tình hay tình yêu sến súa đâu.
Có ai đó nói rằng, tác phẩm đầu tiên mà bạn đọc của nhà văn Marc Levy sẽ là tác phẩm bạn yêu thích nhất của vị tác giả này. Lúc ấy tôi không tin, giờ tôi tin rồi =))
Cuốn sách đầu tiên mình đọc của Marc Levy là Nếu Em Không Phải Một Giấc Mơ, nên mình đã trót đem hết tình cảm và lòng ngưỡng mộ vào cuốn ấy mất rồi. Và giờ ngôi vị thứ phi đành phải dành cho Kiếp Sau mà thôi.
Bởi sau cuốn sách đầu tiên, mình không còn quá khâm phục trước sự uyên bác và hiểu biết của tác giả Marc Levy, lần này là về lĩnh vực hội họa, thứ mà mình gần như mù tịt, thêm lẫn một chút kiến thức và đấu giá cũng như y học, hóa học, ... Mình cũng không còn quá chìm đắm vào kiếp luân hồi, bài học nhân sinh, ... mà nhà văn làm điểm nhấn trong cuốn sách của mình nữa.
Tuy nhiên, một câu chuyện hay như vậy, lãng mạn như vậy, logic như vậy mà không hấp dẫn mình sao được. Mình vừa đọc vừa thầm mong thực sự có "một nữa linh hồn" ở đâu đó đang chờ đợi mình để sống trọn kiếp này. Hê hê, nhiều lúc ảo tưởng cứ nghĩ mình là một vị anh hùng tướng sĩ nào thời xưa, rồi có một mối tình truyền kiếp với một mỹ nhân.

At many times I felt like I wasn't really reading a book, but instead I was watching a Hollywood movie that was clicheic, formulaic and designed for a target group that I'm definitely not a part of.
The supernatural elements were so ridiculous and Levy's theory of metempsychosis is laughable, to say the least.
Take the love story that you've seen in all media, add some supernatural elements, a fictional painter, a best friend character that can magically get you everything and anything that's vital for the plot, weird coincidences that make the book have not one, not two, but three different characters named Clara, mix it up together, add Paris, Florence and Boston to the mix for our vapid characters and "boom!", you've got La Prochaine Fois!
La Prochaine Fois is not worth reading but it's a fast and short read, I'll give it that.
At least it's over quickly.

Trừ vài chi tiết hơi miễn cưỡng hoặc không rõ ràng ví dụ như ; cộng với lời thoại vẫn dài dòng sến sẩm như bao lần, thì lần này tôi thấy cốt truyện cũng được, xoắn vặn vừa đủ. Nếu có gì để tiếc thì chỉ tiếc là tôi đã quá cái lứa tuổi vừa vặn để chấm cho Kiếp sau nhiều hơn 3.5* mất rồi.
�� mà thấy gian tình của Peter với Jonathan còn nhiều hơn của Clara với Jonathan nữa và tất nhiên là hơn đứt của Anna với Jonathan rồi, thiệt tình. Việc Peter là kẻ chơi gái cao tay thay bồ như thay áo không phải là tấm bình phong cho tình cảm đối với Jonathan đấy chứ hả hả =))

Este livro centra-se em torno de um pintor russo do século dezanove, chamado Vladimir Radskin. O Jonathan, personagem principal do livro, desde muito cedo que tem um fascínio pelas obras deste pintor. Vladimir Radskin viu a sua mulher a ser assassinada de forma sanguinária e, desde então, nunca mais pintou mulheres nas suas obras. No entanto, uma lenda afirma a existência de uma obra, na qual o pintor antes de morrer pincelou uma mulher. Jonathan e o seu melhor amigo Peter, ambos americanos, têm andado na busca dessa última obra, até que uma galeria de Inglaterra envia a notícia aos dois amigos que pretende pôr à venda 5 obras do Vladimir Radskin, entre quais a última tão procurada! E assim começa a aventura, seguimos os amigos a Londres, na descoberta deste misterioso quadro. Mas irão acontecer coisas estranhas e inexplicáveis ao Jonathan. Estes quadros irão juntá-lo a uma mulher e levá-los ao universo eterno do amor e da reencarnação.
Adorei a forma de como a história está relatada e de como o Marc Levy criou este pintor imaginário com as suas obras inexistentes. Um livro tão interessante, original e apaixonante! Gostei muito.

Sau 2 - 3 năm về giá sách lúc trước 18 tìm sách đọc lại, lần đầu đọc là 6 7 năm trước, lần này đọc lại chỉ còn thấy có lẽ cho 3*. Một trong những nỗi buồn khi tuổi tăng dần lên là mỗi lần đọc lại vài cuốn sách từng mê đắm, sững sờ thủa trước nay bắt đầu bới ra sạn. Nghĩ về mối tâm giao với cuốn này, nghĩ về cảm giác thủa mộng mơ 16 17 và gặp tiểu thuyết Marc Levy vẫn còn thấy xao xuyến. Dù cho bây giờ khi lớn đọc thấy nhận xét M.Levy sến nọ kia thì tình cảm thủa ban đầu đó với mình vẫn vẹn nguyên đáng trân quý.
Cuốn này là cuốn mình thích nhất của Levy, những cuốn ra sau này (từ Những đứa con của tự do) chưa đọc. Lần gần nhất đọc Mọi điều ta chưa nói thấy nhạt vô cùng, phải chăng mình đã quá lớn (già)? Trái tim đã không còn son trẻ?
Sau rất nhiều năm, nay đọc xong cuốn sách vào một chiều lập thu trở mình, ở căn phòng lúc xưa đã đọc lần đầu. Gấp cuốn sách lại và nằm thẫn thờ tự hỏi mình bao nhiêu tuổi rồi nhỉ và ngủ quên.
Với tình cảm đó mình vẫn cho 4*.

Es Marc Levy, así que casi es una lectura segura, sin embargo y a pesar de que me gusta muchísimo el autor y no tengo pegas tampoco con su estilo ni con nada de nada, el libro no me llenó por completo.
Creo yo que tal vez es que se tarda mucho en explicar la situación de Jonathan, que es hasta después de la mitad que medio entendemos de que va el tema y por otro lado, es que se enrolla mucho con el tema de la pintura perdida de un pintor Ruso muerto hace tiempo, si bien es interesante, me parece a mi que hubiera podido ser mucho mas corto o tal vez mas conciso en cuanto a que tiene que ver eso con todo lo demás y el descubrimiento de dicha pintura, lo que hay detrás de ella y todo lo demás lo vamos sabiendo bastante tarde en el libro, creo que eso fue lo que no ayudó, que no la hace precisamente una historia ágil, cosa a la que por cierto nos tiene acostumbrados el autor, sus demás libros generalmente son mucho más ágiles y casi siempre nos explica todo antes de desarrollar el nudo de la historia.
Sin embargo y a pesar de ello, me ha gustado, me gusta mucho como casi siempre Levy le da un tinte sobrenatural, paranormal o mágico dentro de historias bastante mundanas, como si fuera el pan de cada día y como si fueran cosas de lo más normales.
Un buen libro, tal vez no el mejor que he leído de este autor, pero lo suficientemente bueno para recomendarlo.

Bonita historia de amor, en la que no pueden faltar los elementos fantásticos como tiene por costumbre Marc Levy. Es una novela corta, amena, escrita de forma sencilla y que se lee de forma ágil.
Si que voy a señalar que me ha resultado un poco liosa en comparación con otras novelas suyas, la mezcla en esta novela de ambas historias, ya que en varias ocasiones no tenía claro si lo había entendido bien o como estaba relacionado.

Autorul are o înclinație spre mistic.De data aceasta explorează povestea vieții trăite până la schimbarea destinului. Oare dacă nu reușim într-o viață să fim fericiți vom reuși într-o altă? Oare poate sufletul să caute la nesfârșit fericirea? Poate dacă ne dorim foarte tare fericirea o sa reușim chiar și peste 100 de ani.

Cuốn sách đầu tiên của Marc Levy mình đọc, và cũng là cuốn mình thích nhứt. Hình như có một quy luật như thế này về các cuốn sách của Marc Levy - cuốn đầu tiên bạn đọc sẽ là cuốn bạn thích nhứt.
Vẫn là một ý tưởng độc đáo khác của Marc, mang hơi hướm Á đông: kiếp luân hồi - con người chết đi, và đầu thai thành một người khác nhưng mối lương duyên với những người trong kiếp này vẫn kéo sang kiếp sau, sợi dây đó dẫn lối cho những người lạc mất nhau tìm thấy nhau, những người mắc nợ nhau trả nợ nhau, những người yêu nhau cùng viết tiếp câu chuyện tình dang dở...
Còn về nội dung, văn phong của truyện thì vì đọc lâu rồi, mình cũng chẳng nhớ rõ, chỉ nhớ là khi đọc xong mình cũng thấy thích thú, có một chút mơ tưởng gì đó về một tình yêu bất diệt.

A big deception. I read other books by this author that I just loved - Just Like Heaven was one of them. But this stupid ending, plus the ridiculous reencarnation theory created by Marc totally turned me off.

Một lá thư hay, tràn đầy cảm xúc cho cả mở đầu và kết thúc câu truyện. Nhờ nó mà tôi thấy có cảm tình với câu truyện ngay từ trang đầu tiên, và cũng nhờ nó khép lại và bổ sung cảm xúc cho kết thúc. Lần một đọc thấy hay, lần hai đọc càng thấy hay bội phần.

This book is really terrible: sappy romance combined with underdeveloped characters, second-rate villains, vapid female characters, a convoluted and flawed fantastical storyline, and frequently bad writing. I rolled my eyes so many times while reading this book that I thought they were going to get stuck that way. (For example, Levy loves to describe scenes of women making a huge mess while trying to figure out what to wear to demonstrate how charming and in love they are with their men. And describing what they are wearing to demonstrate how elegant they are. And having them notice a man's quirks to show how perfect they are for their men. And little to no actual personality development of the women except for how they're reflected by the men. Bleh) It's like watching a bad Katherine Heigel movie, so I guess, if that's your thing, maybe this book is for you. However, if French is not your first language, Marc Levy provides good practice because he's fairly easy to read. I'm pretty rusty and unpracticed, but after the first 50 or so pages, I was reading along at a good pace that wasn't too far off my speed in English.

With novel type, Marc Levy has never let me down. After finishing this book, you should read again the letter written in the very first pages and feel the story’s flow.
The magical details go through the novel, made us really believe absolutely in their story and have trust in love.

În altă viață este o carte foarte emoționantă, bine scrisă, care te face să crezi în suflete pereche, care se caută și se descoperă în fiecare viață, ca într-o poveste fără sfârșit.

Нямам идея откъде черпи всичките си идеи, но насочва вниманието към много и важни проблеми, вплитайки ги в сюжетите на произведенията си.

Aunque ha habido partes en las que estaba un poco perdida porque no tengo ni idea de cómo funciona el mercado del arte y las subastas, en general el libro me ha gustado mucho. Me ha parecido una trama original y me ha mantenido en vilo hasta la última página

This is my all time favorite by Marc Levy.
The atmosphere he builds which is intertwined with a cultural background that I find deeply appealing maybe contributed to this feeling of interest and pleasure in the reading.
Behind the story of the two main characters, there is a hint of survival of the soul and return - through reincarnation - to this Love they so cherished.
The settings in different times and cities are convincing and colorful, the heroes generous and capable of self sacrifice. Romantic, sometimes full of suspense, definitely a good read!

It's really a classic love story. With a twist. But after you watched all the romantic comedies and read all the chick lit in the world, this book isn't such a revelation. Keep in mind though that it's been written before all this romance explosion and enjoy the beautiful love story, honest and genuine feelings and the surprises along the way. You'll even discover it was a read for sore minds :)

Neste livro Marc Levy reuniu à arte o mistério, fantasia e romance, criando uma história com contornos muito particulares.
Gostei, mas não me seduziu totalmente.... Senti que houve momentos em que a história não avançava muito e acabou por ter um final um pouco precipitado.

Der einzige Grund, warum ich dieses Buch zu Ende gelesen habe war, dass es auf dem Campingplatz keine besseren Alternativen und auch kein WLAN gab. So ein schlechtes Buch habe ich wirklich lange nicht mehr gelesen. Der Schreibstil wirkt wie ein Kinderbuch, und das nicht auf die niedliche Art und Weise. Die Charaktere waren langweilig und platt, man konnte sie quasi nicht kennenlernen. Die Chemie zwischen den Hauptfiguren war auch einfach nicht da, deswegen gab es auch keine in irgendeiner Form interessante Liebesgschichte. Auch der mystische Aspekt der Geschichte hat mich absolut enttäuscht. Der Ansatz war zwar interessant aber überhaupt nicht gut ausgeführt und einfach nur verwirrend. Die ganze Zeit habe ich noch gehofft, dass es einen interessanten Twist oder so gibt, aber es kam nichts. Alles war so vorhersehbar und langweilig. Immerhin war es sehr kurz und dadurch schnell vorbei.
