In a novel that’s perfect for fans of Shayla Black, Stacey Kennedy returns to Club Sin with another wicked and wild tale of submission, seduction, and love.

At Las Vegas’s exclusive Club Sin, Aidan Knight is the Master, unleashing the erotic yearnings of his submissive lovers. But his dominant façade conceals a devastating loss—something he instantly recognizes in his personally trained submissive Cora Adams. Sworn to unearth her secrets, Aidan uses his seductive skills to ignite her wildest desires until Cora yields to the pleasure she can find only with him.

Cora came to the BDSM club to act out her sub-and-dom fantasies without ever revealing the heartbreak that haunts her. But Aidan’s masterful touch is bringing her closer to the edge . . . and deeper into a world of control and surrender. He refuses to allow her to submit to any other man—nor does she want to. It’s a dangerous game they’re playing. For as they give in to passion, they must lay bare their souls for a love that could heal—and free—them both.

Bared is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

3,5-4 Miscommunication Sucks Stars

I'll probably never write a proper review for this so... A few points.

1) I liked this book in general. It was much better than the first in all aspects.
2) The heroine was very likable. Strong and compassionate, she was nothing like that idiot Presley.
3) The writing in these books just doesn't work for me. It is too formal and sctructured for erotic romance at some points. That first chapter was horrifying, like something out of a historical. Luckily the rest wasn't that bad but still, too many repetitions of the word loins and the male POVs weren't convincing at all.
4) The miscommunication thing kind of got on my nerves after a point. I get that Cora didn't want to rush Aidan but COME ON! Still, they worked it out, so...
5) Aidan was completely oblivious to Cora's feelings. The one thing I love about BDSM is that the heros usually understand what their subs are feeling. This wasn't the case here.
6) There was hot sec involved, and if it wasn't for the "loins" mentioned above, that part of the book would have been perfect.

That's all. Better than the first one, still needs work. The writing especially.

BR with Aly!! You can find her review HERE.

The annoyed one is Aly at the beginning of the book...

Bared is about Cora, who is a submissive and Aidan Knight, her Dom. Both of them are in it purely for the play and the pleasure they derive from it. Two years ago, they agreed that their D/s relationship is not exclusive. They can play with whoever they want. Outside of the club, they are friends but no more than that. The reason being was that Aidan already had a submissive, whom he was very in love with but she died in a car accident. So for Aidan, he can't be anymore than a temporary Dom for Cora.

Cora, on the hand is in love with Aidan. But since they agreed that their D/s relationship is purely casual, she tried to be the perfect submissive for Aidan while hiding her feelings.

I must admit, I wasn't quite sure if I would enjoy this book since the reviews for this are quite mixed. But I really liked the blurb. I'm a sucker for the unrequited love trope that I requested this at NetGalley. And it's safe to say that I really liked this one very much.

Aidan is a wonderfully tortured hero, although I must admit, I wanted to bash in the head for being so clueless. And Cora is a likable heroine. Club Sin is the one place she can hang out and let go of her inhibitions and she doesn't want anything to threaten that.

While most of the scenes in the book were set in a BDSM club, this book isn't exactly a BDSM book. Yes, this book has some BDSM elements to it but it's not as intense as the other ones maybe because both of the characters are not into the BDSM lifestyle 24/7. So for readers who might balk at the prospect of reading a "BDSM" book, don't. The BDSM here is very tame.

This is definitely recommended for people who are looking for a book with light BDSM elements with a healthy dose of romance and angst.

Cora has been in love with Aidan for years. At Club Sin she submits to him and loves him in the only way he will allow, but outside of the club they have no interaction. Aidan is still mourning the loss of his sub, Lily, and won't commit to anyone else. But when he starts to notice Cora pulling away from him, he must come to terms with his loss and be the Dom that Cora needs.

Aidan was the tortured Hero that you just want to hug tight and never let go. He didn't feel like he deserved Cora and when we learn how deeply his soul is wounded it's a little heartbreaking. I liked his character and found myself cheering him on to get his girl.

Cora had protected Aidan for years by never showing her true feelings. But she can't hide them anymore, and she feels her heart break every time they leave the club. There was nothing spectacular about her character but she was likable and I felt for her. I did want a little more about the characters but it didn't ruin the book for me not knowing.

Stacey Kennedy can write some steamy scenes! This is very light BDSM so nothing too out there but the connections between the Aidan and Cora at the club was amazing. In the first book I was missing the romance between the characters so I wasn't expecting anything more than another smutty book when I read this one. I was pleasantly surprised though and loved the emotional connection that Aidan and Cora had.

4.5 ass-spanking stars!

Master Aiden & Cora share a special bond, but although they play together in the dungeon, he has yet to claim her as his. When Cora became a member of Club Sin, she had already had experience but that doesn’t stop Master Aiden from taking her under his wing.

It’s been years since Aiden’s world crumbled, pain he thought he had worked through still lingers and only one has broken through. Cora has always hidden her feelings, knowing that he hasn’t faced all of his fears yet. Knowing that by revealing them will just force him more pain.

But when those feelings become too strong to hide a shift occurs. Aiden can see pain in her eyes. As her Dom, he knows it’s his responsibility to erase that pain. But he hasn’t realized yet that he is the cause of that pain.

I completely fell in love with this series with the first book, Claimed where we met Presley & Dmitri, the other club Masters and Cora (Presley’s best friend). The tension between Cora and Aiden was so alive in Claimed, that I was dying to get my hands on Bared to find out just what had these two so connected but yet uncommitted.

Aiden’s past was tragic and when he finally has to face it, the guilt and the blame he bore was heartbreaking. I did find myself wanting to shake some sense into Cora, wanting her to reveal her feelings and to stop making excuses for why it was too soon. These two had such sparks when they played, but the softer moments when he was trying to gain her trust were beautiful.

This is a sizzling BDSM series that has the perfect balance of kink and romance. I love that these men who all are very dominant and love to play don’t live the lifestyle 100% of the time. It allows you to fully get to know the characters and connect to them. You aren’t just overwhelmed by panty soaking sex, you get a story with depth that reaches beyond the walls of the club.

I am not sure whose story we’ll get in Desired. I am hoping it is Kyler’s since he played such a part in Aiden & Cora’s story. Club Sin is a must read series for those that like their Hero wielding a whip and their Heroine bent over a spanking bench.

Claimed (Club Sin #1) by Stacey Kennedy was a wonderful, warm, sweet story of love, submission, and taking chances with one's feelings. Bared (Club Sin #2), book two in the series centers on a smoldering D/s relationship that only flourishes in the dungeon at Club Sin. I liked the overall premise of the story, but I didn’t like how it played out on the pages.

For two years Aidan and Cora have played together, spent enough time together to know each other wants and needs, but once the scene is finished the heat and chemistry between Aiden and Cora is also gone, and that dear reader is the basis of the story. How can two people who have spent such intimate, emotional, high octane, adrenalin pumping moments together not understand their feeling towards each other?

I found the writing didn’t flow as well in this book, it was extremely repetitive, and seemed to almost have a circular pattern – like a planet orbiting the star. At times the writing was crisp, warm, erotic, almost poetic, concise and to the point, but it was not consistent throughout the book.

The characters were thin, not a lot of back story, just enough so you would have some interest in them, there was satisfactory interaction between Aidan/Cora and the secondary characters in the book, any newly introduced characters fell into place seamlessly. There was no doubt in my mind that there were strong friendships, and a support structure firmly in place amongst these characters.

I seemed to have had more issues with Cora’s character, then Aidan’s. Cora engaged in this D/s relationship with full knowledge that is was a non committed relationship, and that Aidan had suffered a loss shortly before they had gotten together, both Aidan and Cora assumed they knew what the other wanted out of their D/s relationship. I felt that Cora changed the rules by falling in love with Aidan, and although the chemistry was there, I didn’t like her going off the emotional deep end when Aidan didn’t realize her love for him, or his feelings towards her. I also hated that Cora felt the time was never right or it was “too soon” to tell Aidan how she really felt. I thought Cora's lack of honest communication was really the problem. I know that drama is important to a story line, but the tension, attitudes, and taking sides throughout the course of the story by the other Doms, and Cora’s girlfriends seemed to get in the way for me. I liked Aiden, he had his issues, but I thought he worked really hard to resolve the problems between Cora and himself. He could have just walked away, but he stuck by her through all of the drama. I really didn’t think that Aidan deserved some of the attitude the other Dom’s dumped on him. I also disliked Cora’s attitude that she had taken care of Aidan during his difficult time.

What seemed to be lacking in this story for me was romance, the sex was hot, well written for the most part, but beyond the dungeon, Aidan and Cora had so little interaction with each other, it was hard to see them as a couple. I thought that one of the nicest parts of the story was when Aidan took Cora rock climbing, and they spent the night camping. This was the first time we really got to see them outside of the club.

I think that overall the story line was very thin; it was a single focus plot. I think that if time has been spent fleshing out characters more, giving them a personality, making them seem more real, creating a relationship between Aidan and Cora outside of the club, looking at Aidan’s feelings, and not rushing to the traditional HEA ( to satisfy the reader) the book would have been more enjoyable for me.

In closing, this was a two star read for me.

I received this ARC copy of Bared from Loveswept's NetGalley Catalog and Random House Publishing Group for an honest review .

Bared is the second novel in Stacey Kennedy’s BDSM series Club Sin and works completely well as a standalone. It is not necessary to read the first book in the series, Claimed, to understand what is happening in this one.

I think it’s safe to say that these books are based purely on a fantasy world where the doms are pretty much not just perfect doms but perfect men as wel – just exactly the way we girls would want them to be. So long as you accept this and just go with the flow, then these books work as deliciously erotic romance with feisty submissives and doms to die for.

There’s not a huge amount of action in these books – they’re purely romances and each book examines the dynamics of a D/s relationship. In Bared, it is the turn of Cora and Master Aidan. They’ve been playing together in the dungeon at Club Sin for two years and Cora is the perfect submissive for Aidan – she’s strong in her submission and gives herself completely to her dom and he revels in this. Aidan is highly accomplished in his sensual mastery of her but sees her as only a submissive, having lost the previous woman in his life to a drunk driver. He never wants that kind of connection again and is unable to let go of his grief.

Cora, of course, is completely and utterly in love with her dom but copes with the relationship never extending beyond the dungeon but deep down she wants far more but, after two years, she is finding it harder and harder to hide her feelings and her apparent unhappiness makes Aidan uneasy even though he can’t understand why and so this is our story – it’s largely the development of Aidan and Cora’s relationship to something that will extend beyond the dungeon.

As a BDSM romance this works really well and will appeal to fans of Cherise Sinclair, Roni Loren and Lynda Aicher – it’s mostly glitterkink club based and I would classify it was BDSM lite. There’s really nothing more hardcore than bondage and flogging going on here. It’s very romantic – the doms really are swoonworthy, every single one of them, and I can’t wait to hear all of their stories.

Aidan and Cora really do light up the pages with their D/s scenes in the club – they are, at first, wonderfully compatible and to outward appearances the perfect dom/sub couple but things get a little rocky for them as they have to work through their different expectations and Aidan needs to let go of the past and embrace what he has right in front of him.

So, for a wonderful, deliciously sexy and sensual BDSM romance the whole Club Sin series really does check all the boxes – very much looking forward to more from Stacey Kennedy.

Buddy read with Jo
It was better then the 1st book, but it still drove me a bit crazy...

In the 1st chapter the author completely murdered the male POV. There was no chance of revival and that's when I knew I had to take a break, read another book and come back to this one after. Reading an AMAZING historical romance really helped calm me down, otherwise this review would have gone differently.

I liked both characters, mostly. Cora is a selfless submissive who damages herself emotionally to help the man she has fallen in love with. Aidan is a great guy who has gone through an enormous loss and, after 5 years, still hasn't completely healed. It was great watching them together and seeing how they complemented each other.

There were some glitches, the heroine couldn't STOP talking about her frigging "loins" and the hero was obvious to some things happening around him, but all in all I didn't feel that I had to punch anyone in the face, so it was a win :D

If Aidan wasn't so blind and didn't have so much guilt over something he couldn't have control over, there wouldn't be so much heartache. The book was more focused on the mechanics of the D/s relationship than the erotic which is not something you can see often.

Cora has been in love with Aidan for almost two years but he doesn't return the affection and that has started to cause problems with their relationship. Everyone knows she has feelings for him, except of him.

I couldn't relate to the Cora and Aidan but I felt their pain. My favorite characters were Porter and Kayler. I loved those two. They were Fairy-helpers in my mind.

The reader will enjoy the book and wont be too hard on Aidan. Overal the book was good, with lots of angst, a secretly in love sub with her dom and a hero with a past that keeps him from moving on.

Four Stars for Bared (Club Sin #2) by Stacey Kennedy

I was pleasantly surprised by Bared. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting much, I've picked up a few D/s club-type romances and they were often filled with sex and BDSM and nothing more. No substance. No character development. Nothing. This was not the case with this second installment to the Club Sin Series by Stacey kennedy. We were treated to characters with depth and real emotion. The supporting players were fun to read about and I became interested in knowing more, hoping we'd get a bigger look into them in future books.

Our two main protagonists are Cora Adams and Aidan Knight. Cora is a submissive who has been a member at Club Sin for two years under the tutelage of the same master for that length of time. Aidan has been Cora's Master and relished in the closeness and the chemistry they shared while "playing" in the dungeon. For Aidan, things were perfect. He couldn't imagine himself with any other, he regarded Cora as the perfect submissive and though they weren't exclusive; neither had ever played with a different master or sub.

description

However, things were quite different for Cora. For the past two years, she had shoved any feelings she felt for Aidan aside in hopes of helping him get through a very significant loss in his life. She refused to acknowledge what she truly wanted from their relationship in partial fear that she would lose him forever. Everything comes to a head when Aidan notices a visible change in Cora's demeanor, vowing to get to the bottom of what is upsetting her, he unknowingly uncovers more than he had ever anticipated.

The second book in this series is as good as the first one but more intense! With light BDSM elements this story focus more to the romance than to the kinky parts. I enjoyed reading it very much because I found the characters very interesting.

Cora is Aidan’s submissive for the last two years and she’s in love with him. But he’s a man haunted and he doesn’t want to love anyone after the death of the woman he loved many years ago. But enough is enough and Cora realized that she doesn’t want just to play anymore. And that means that their relationship is going to change…

Cora is very nice! I liked her spirit and her determination. Yes, she was really late admitting her feelings to everyone but she’s a woman who wants to be happy and when something makes her feel bad she knows that she has to walk away. She’s proud and strong and a very good friend.

Aidan was also very good. Dominant and serious, he’s the kind of man that every woman wants. Although I didn’t like the way he was acting, I admit that I understand him. What he’s been through wasn’t easy and he needed the right person to feel complete again.

So, the plot was nice, the writing style very good and the characters interesting and if you want to read a book from this genre this is a very good choice!

Review for Bared (Club Sin) by Stacey Kennedy

The Masters of Club Sin are back in this smokin’ hot must read Bared by Stacey Kennedy. While you can read this one as a stand-alone, I would strongly suggest you pick up Claimed first and meet Dmitri and Presley before you dive into Aidan and Cora’s story. Of all the BDSM stories I have read I have to give mad props to this author for the realism she puts into her scenes. A lot of authors go way over the top and have things going on that would require eight hands, five arms, and a contortionist in order for the acts to be pulled off, but Stacey finds that line between fantasy and doable without crossing it.

Cora is a Club Sin submissive. Even though she could have her pick of any of the Doms or Masters at the club she only plays with one, Master Aidan. When she first came to Club Sin he was her trainer and quickly fell for him. She recognized his pain and wanted to help him heal, so she stuffed down her emotions and became the submissive he needed. One with no strings and no commitments taking only what he was willing and able to give her. Cora tried to be happy getting him any way she could, but the heart wants what it wants.

Aidan is brokenhearted. The love of his life died in a car accident and he can’t seem to move beyond the guilt of living without her. Slowly, the sassy Cora coaxes him out of his dark shell, but until he opens his eyes to what is in front of him he will never be able to really live again. This D/s pair is perfect together, but will ghosts from the past keep them from moving forward? Will Aidan see the love Cora so freely gives and accept it? Or will Cora finally realize she is worth more and move on without him?

I loved this book. I have to admit I was a bit concerned with reading book two because book one was SO freaking amazing. I just knew that there would be no way this one could live up to the expectations I had set. Thank all that is holy Stacey Kennedy kicks ass because it was just as awesome as the first! I had already semi fell in love with Master Aidan in book one, but after reading Bared I am in full on book boyfriend lust with this guy. The things he does to Cora are out of this world ah-mazing. My whores know me pretty well, and I am a sucker for high emotion books… well this one had me in tears bawling like a baby more than once. I won’t say it was “ugly” crying, but damn close. There is a scene where Cora lays all her cards on the table… well… let’s just say this whore lost her shit a bit over it.

Not only do you get Aidan and Cora’s tale, but you get to see a bit of Dmitri and Presley (I still lust for Master Dmitri… whew) plus we get a good dose of Master Kyler and Cora’s exboyfriend/exDom Porter too. I’m hoping we will see Master Kyler in the next book…. Domly one in a uniform? Yes, please!

Bared is equal parts sexy smut and emotional rollercoaster. I LOVED IT. I certify it a Mommy’s a Book Whore MUST read. I give it FIVE stars for a dynamic storyline and FIVE drenched panties for kinky smut!

This is a part of a series about Club Sin... A BDSM club. I picked this one up because the first book was so good... However, this one had a very different story that was full of self realizations, emotions and denials.

The first book had a definite protagonist & it was amazing. It surprised me that this book brought out emotion beyond the club scene & it was good. I really don't read these kind of books. They just seem repetative to me and once you've read one, you've read them all. This one was different because of all of the emotion running this book. It was far from cheesy. This was a totally different kind of book. AND this wasn't funny like the Shades of Grey series...

Aidan (a lawyer)lost his wife five years ago. She was also his Sub. She was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. Cora (a social services counselor) comes to the club 2 years ago and he takes her as his sub. Now Cora is in love with him. She won't tell him because he's not over his wife, and she doesn't want the drama and to lose him if he finds out. Now she has secrets & he's out to figure them out.

It's a relationship book. A book of self-realization & healing, with several BDSM pages in between.

It was good, but I was tired of the secrets & angst. There is only so much I can take & this one was angst cover to cover. I will read more in the series because the books are really good. This author is good... Besides... My married male boss has read the Shades of Grey series, so I tease him about reading this series now...

Aidan he's all man, "even from across the dungeon, you looked upset." At her silence, since her voice caught in her dry throat, he frowned. "Now I see I'm not imagining things. Answer me." Aidan is battling some demons, well his inner feelings, "and more than once Aidan pointed out that he cared for Cora as a friend, nothing more. He was her Dom, for eff's sake. Of course, he gave her attention." When both Cora and Aidan don't have walls up they are really great together, at ease, and have fun, "right. We're serious. All business." She folded her arms, even if her eyes gleamed, sassily. "Admire later. Gotcha." That moment kept his co** hard for a good half hour." When all the walls are down and they're honest with each other they're truly happy, "it's the one thing I can do with a submissive that belongs to me personally that I won't do to others." He gave her a soft kiss, licking her bottom lip in a slow flick. "It's a statement that I am committed to you - and only you. It's a show that if you ever become pregnant, it wouldn't disappoint me."

This is the second book in the series that I have read and I will say that I was not at all happy with this book. There were a lot of steamy scenes in this story and they were really good. Also Cora was annoying as hell to me and too needy and wanted more that what Aidan could give her. Also this story did not give anything about them having a friendship outside of the club where two people get to know each other. The rock climbing was the only time where their appearance showed where they enjoyed each others company outside of the club. Although Cora was mentioned in the first book there still wasn’t enough to know about her and Aidan.

We see that Aidan was hurting because he lost a submissive that he loved and was still in a way still hurting, however Cora knew from the beginning that Aidan was not looking for any type of relationship. So to maybe change things around she cared for him without him understanding that she let her feelings get in the way of the D/s relationship.

I like that Aidan was tentative to Cora’s need after a scene and that he offered her friendship while they were in the club. I thought her looking as Presley collar was her trigger and she became jealous wanting the type of relationship that Presley had with Dmitri that she wasn’t getting from Aidan.

Title: Bared
Author: Stacey Kennedy
Publisher/Year: Random House 2/10/14
Length: 256 Pages
Series: Club Sin #2

Overview

My Thoughts

The series continues with the Masters of Club Sin - the exclusive BDSM club in Dimitri's mansion in Vegas. We met the masters in the first book and now it's time to get to know another one a bit more - Master Aiden. His past is one that's bitter sweet. He's been in the lifestyle for quite some time now, and had the most amazing and loving D/s relationship with a woman named Lily who was killed in a car accident several years ago. Since then, his heart has been closed off since theirs was a once in a lifetime sort of love.

There's also Cora - Presley's best friend, and the one who introduced her into the lifestyle. Cora herself is a tough one to get to figure out. We don't get to dig too much into her past to understand what's made her into the woman we know but we know that she got into the lifestyle through a project for school when she was researching the mindset of a sexual serial killer who apparently had a thing for BDSM. She was in a rather committed D/s relationship with a guy named Porter at her old club but when she realized that he wasn't who she needed long term for love, she left him and moved onto Club Sin.

For the past 2 years, Master Aiden and Cora have been playing together exclusively and to them and everyone else, their pairing in the club works perfectly. The issue though is when Cora gets to the point where the feelings that she's developed for Aiden over the past years are so strong that she can't bear to be around him in the same way since he's still mourning his past love.

Aiden of course is incredibly obtuse to it all which of course is interesting for a Dom since we know that it's their job to hone in on emotions and everything but he still doesn't get it. The journey that we go on in this 2nd installment of the series is seeing how they find themselves at an impasse of sorts and how it affects just about everyone in the club. Porter is brought back in, in the hopes that he can sort things out for Aiden, and Master Kyler proves to be an amazingly sweet and sensitive support system.

Woven throughout are some incredibly sexy scenes. What Cora loves is so different than what we saw with Presley and the way that those scenes are written shows us that there's a diverse dynamic in the club and it's hot. I can't wait to see which is the next Dom and sub that are featured.

I was quite disappointed by this second book in the Club Sin series by Ms. Kennedy. While the first book was truly a good read, this second book was, in my opinion, very predictable and uninspired. The two main characters were carryovers from the first book and I did not find them to be well-written or engaging at all. I felt like I knew exactly how the story was going to end a few chapters into the book. I kept reading in the hope that the storyline would improve or that there would be additional elements brought into the narrative that would prove my assumption to be wrong but that wasn't the case. The storyline had no suspense or anticipation to it at all. It was almost the antithesis of what I wrote in my review of Ms. Kennedy's first book in this series. It was a straight romance with a few elements of erotica and BDSM thrown in for effect. In my opinion, this second book wasn't worth the price of the Kindle version (which is the version I read).

Another complaint I had with this book, that I didn't notice with the first book, was the grammatical errors. I know that e-books appear to have an industry-wide problem with spelling and grammar errors but this particular book had more than just the occasional misspelling, wrong tense or even wrong pronoun usage (him versus her, etc.). There were a LOT of run-on and/or fragmented sentences throughout the book. That is not something that I've seen much of in any e-book. I know that I am particularly sensitive to these types of issues in any book since I was an English major and teacher for part of my career. The errors that bothered me the most in this book were the sentence fragments that were used as complete sentences. While those errors probably shouldn't be attributed to the author, they should definitely never have made it into the final version of the book. I believe that is why there are proofreaders and editors and, believe me, I could have done a much better job of proofreading this book before it was published than those who were paid to do so.

The setting for all of the stories in this series is Las Vegas and the best thing I can say about this book is that the descriptions of the city and the surrounding areas are quite remarkable. When I think of Las Vegas, I think of the city itself with its casinos and other tourist "hot spots" on the Las Vegas strip. However, Ms. Kennedy seems to know the entire area surrounding Las Vegas well and that knowledge has come through in both of the novels I've read in this series. Her descriptions of the desert, mountains and forest areas in and around Las Vegas give a sense of realism and interest to the environment.

I cannot recommend this second book in the Club Sin series for the above reasons. I have moved on to the third book in the series and have only read a few chapters. Those few chapters have already proven to be far more interesting than the entire story of Bared. I can only hope that Bared was a singular instance where the writing was uninspired because I think this series has a great deal of potential to be an outstanding series in the genre.

This was an excellent book. The connection that Cora and Aidan have is electric! It starts off with a bang too! hothothot! Hints of their past and how Cora feels for Aidan had me emotionally invested right from the start.

I really liked Cora and her sass, she’s so sweet and spunky. How Cora sacrificed her own feelings was touching. Aidan cares for Cora tremendously and wants to understand her. I could see and feel how Aidan felt for Cora – waiting for him to realize it was agonizing (but it a good way). Aidan is dominating, sexy, and compassionate and watching him come to terms with his heartbreaking past was an incredible journey. There were so many emotional moments throughout the book I found myself getting teary eyed on several occasions.

I really enjoyed watching Aidan and Cora connect outside of Club Sin as well. They had some fun, playful times and some lighthearted moments. There is a beautifully written camping scene, so full of sensuality and emotion. Oh my goodness. My heart. They're so sweet and loving. It was a real turning point for them and I could feel it in every word I read. There was another very intense scene in a cemetery and I was so proud of Cora for finally realizing her feelings, opening up, and standing up for herself and being honest with Aidan but my heart was breaking. I'm not sure who I felt more sad for.

This book was incredibly hot. STEAMY HOT. There were some seriously intense scenes and even though the content was BDSM related, it never felt overdone or awkward.

I liked Aidan and Cora’s back stories and learning more about them. I loved the introduction of Porter, he’s a great addition. I like him a lot and am excited that he's getting his own book. I was really glad that Presley and Dimitri were in this story too, they’re great characters. I absolutely loved seeing Kyler (he gets his own book too – yeah!). You could tell that he was holding back on what he wanted to say about Aidan and Cora's situation but when he unleashes, it was freaking fantastic! I was all heck yeah, go Kyler! I enjoy all the friendships and in the book, they seem so genuine and sincere. I liked when the guys hung out on their own too, those were great scenes.

Bared is a hot, emotional journey that captured me. 5 I-was-emotionally-invested stars! It ends just as hot as it starts with an incredible story in between!

Bared is exactly what I hoped it to be! Aidan has all of the qualities that I enjoy in a hero. He's strong and loyal with a desire to do what is best for others even when it goes against what he wants and ultimately needs for himself. Aidan has suffered a tragic loss and carries the pains and scars buried deep within himself. Because of his loss he has limited himself to superficial relationships with subs. Although he has been playing exclusively with Cora, he's not ready to offer her any more than a purely physical Dom/sub relationship.

Cora is an experienced submissive and although she has been willing to accept the limited affections that Aidan has been willing to give so far, she is at a breaking point and things have quickly come to a head. Cora has to now decide just how little she is willing to accept in a relationship. Cora needs to decide if having a one sided relationship with a Dom that she has fallen in love with is better than breaking ties, suffering the pain of losing Aidan, and trying to piece herself back together enough to move on.

The emotional tension between Cora and Aidan is painful, heartbreaking, and wonderful. I love that Aidan's friends didn't hesitate to call him on his shenanigans and make him take a look at the empty way that he has been living his life. It's was good to see a group of guys take one of their own to task. Aidan is made to see how he is hurting Cora with his purposeful blindness when it comes to Cora's feelings. Aidan makes mistakes and messes things up a bit, even going so far as to bringing in a previous flame to help figure out what is bothering Cora. It was great to see how things are worked through between Aidan and Cora.

Bared is an entertaining and sexy read. It's always nice to get a story that is a good combination of enjoyable story along with steamy encounters. I'll definitely be reading more books in this series.

After the debut novel, which was so eye-opening and fulfilling, this did not satisfy me. Great premise with sassy, sub Cora falling for her grieving, Dom Aidan. But there were two major problems that kept me from my satisfaction.

In the first book of the series, Kennedy showed the poetic beauty of the Dom/sub relationship where the Masters of Club Sin were so in-tuned to their charges and designed these awe-inspiring, deeply touching "scenes" to answer the women's most secret cravings. For me that is the core of romance, like a great product, they found a need and filled it. So it was very hard for me to believe that for nearly two years, Master Aiden, who knew Cora to her core could not figure out the reason she was so sad was because she was in love with a broken, grieving man who could not return her affection. It was like I was Velma watching Shaggy and Scooby trying to solve a mystery.

Secondly, Kennedy, whose writing was strong in the first book, was super repetitive in exposition and telling rather than showing in this installment. Cora and Aidan thought sooo much about what they were going to do, then they vacillated between doing and not doing it, then they'd talk about it with one friend, then call another to talk about it. And finally, inner monologue about it some more. Again, for two such decisive characters it was not believable and in fact disappointing.

The "scenes" were steamy. Worth the the vast expositions just to arrive every few chapters back at the dungeon. And the moral of the story (a Dom and a sub who both hide by living their lives to please others and how they both found courage to live for themselves) was satisfying. Though I was unhappy with this read, Kennedy built up enough creed with me to invest in the third installment.

Arc received from RandomHouse/Loveswept publishing via Netgalley for an honest review.

The book blurb on this one does not lie; if you liked Fifty Shades , oh you will love this one. Sin City " Las Vegas" the home of Club Sin an exclusive Dom/sub club were Aidin Knight successful Vegas attorney is a dungeon Master and The dungeon he first met Cora his sub.

Aiden has been Cora's Dom for two years. Their scenes together are always intense, erotic and highly satisfying for both of them, Aidin can read Cora like a book s he catches one night pain in her eyes after post care and being the Dom he is, Aidin pushes for answers, did he hurt her, is eryhthing alright on and on not taking the nothing is bothering me for an answer, he causes Cora to flee the club. Cora can't tell Aidin; even after to years he is not ready His old pain is just barely gone but he still has not moved totally passed his grief, he is not ready to hear that the sub he has trained, the sub that he has not claimed but the one he exclusively scenes with never the less, has fallen in love with him; Cora would loose him and that is not acceptable. Aidin as. Proud Dom can not let it go, he is supposed to b close to his ub , n her head know what she needs and protect her, Little does he realize that his sub has been doing that or him for the past two years!

The storyline is wonderfully written the connection between these two is a living and breathing entity of its own , such a living entity that pain Cora and Aidin felt nd the aggravation both experience was palpable. I wanted to smack Cora for no opening up and coming clean sooner in th book nd Bo did I be want see on of the other Masters crack Aidin upsid the head onc o twice since he seemed so blind to Cora's true feelings; but loved the read and am looking forward to the next innthe series!

I received this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The gist: Cora and Aidan belong to the private BDSM club, Club Sin. He's a Dom, she's a sub. He's still grieving the loss of his first love. She's in love with him and his grief tortures her (although he doesn't realize it).

I liked Cora and Aidan and wanted them to be committed to each other. As with all BDSM books, I can't necessarily 'relate' to the characters, but I DID feel for them. It was obvious Aidan loved Cora and everyone else knew it but him.

The sex scenes were hot and served their purpose. No complaints there. I'm not one to necessarily ENJOY the punishment scenes in BDSM books, but this book only had one, so I was okay with it. How she came to be punished was actually kinda funny, even though I thought the rule she broke was a ludicrous rule. ;)

This story would be a solid 4 stars for me, BUT... In the beginning, it talks about how Aidan personally trained Cora. Now, based on other BDSM books I've read and just my own 'common sense' (which may be wrong since I'm admittedly not into the lifestyle), that makes me believe Aidan is her first Dom and her first experience in the lifestyle. But then it talks about how she was into the lifestyle for a year already when she met him and she was trained as a sub by her ex-boyfriend. So, does a sub have to be retrained by EVERY Dom??? It also talked about how Cora and Aidan had been together for two years, but then at one point it said a year and a half. The whole timeline aspect just REALLY confused me...

With the timeline inconsistencies, this one is a SOLID 3.5 stars! It was HOT and served it's purpose. If BDSM books are your thing, this one shouldn't disappoint. I'll definitely be reading more about the folks from Club Sin...

Erin's Review:
This was my first experience with Club Sin and let me tell you, I want a membership!!! Bared is the second book in the Club Sin series, and having never read the first book(apparently I was living under a rock), I went in blind...blindfolded would have been ok too.I was hoping I wouldn't be too lost coming in to the second book of the series but I was not.

Cora and Aidan are 100 shades of hot. Their play is sensual and sexy and their chemistry has you screaming for them to get together. Their D/s relationship is masterfully described in delicious detail as Aidan takes Cora to heights she's never been before. Their pasts are barriers that are all too real for the D/s couple as Cora is interested in taking their relationship out of Club Sin. Cora is girly without being needy, Aidan is brooding without being too aloof.

The emotion is intense and raw. Aidan hides his insecurities well behind his Dom mask but Cora knows there's more than he's willing to admit. Cora sees something in Aidan that makes her want more. But her submissive qualities keep her from demanding what she really wants. And the sex...OMG! The sex is HOT HOT HOT!!

The way these two dance around their feelings is like a sexy game of cat and mouse. Both are stubborn and too scared to say anything. Soon they realize that neither are mind readers and with the help of some well meaning nosy friends, they are forced to face their pasts, their present and possibly their future.

Go grab this book NOW! And then demand your invite to Club Sin......I know I did!

Ok, so this book is NOTHING like Claimed! Its dirtier and maybe a bit more... dramatic. But lemme tell you, despite the fact that throughout half of the book I wanted to punch both Cora and Aidan, I did enjoy this book.

It was hot and passionate and so damn confusing with the ups and downs and the "OMG hes breaking my heart but I refuse to leave! Or tell him how I feel!" (not to give away anything), that I just didn't want to put down the book because of it. I wanted to see what was next and it about drove me crazy.

Cora, while I expected her to be slightly tougher, surprised me a bit. She was very... emotional throughout the book. It wasn't until about the end that I saw her as I expected her to be. Aidan kept saying she was strong, but I had my doubts. Although with rational thinking, I can see it. Kind of. But still, I did expect more from her, but I didnt hate her character, which is a very good thing.

Aidan... OMG I just wanted to punch him. Yea, he had his moments where I was all "Awwwww..." because hes really sweet and passionate and just perfect, but hes soooooo.... a guy. And not only that, but hes a guy who had a traumatic thing happen (Again, no spoilers!) that kinda blinded him to everything, well, romantic.

All in all, I did enjoy reading Bared, and I cant wait to get my hands on more books in the series.

I received a digital copy of the book via netgalley, and it in no way swayed my opinion. Stacey Kennedy and her amazing writing did that.

*ARC Courtesy of NetGalley*

So I have to be honest here, when I received the ARC I had a little fangirl moment where I let out the most unladylike shriek you can imagine...my kids went running, my animals howled and I may or may not have caused the neighbors to run out into their yard to investigate....

I immediately stopped what I was reading to read this book, because I loved the first one so much I could not wait another second.... And it certainly did not disappoint.

The story of Aiden and Cora was a intense one, alot more than Presley and Demitri's story.

Aiden lost the love of his life and his sub many years ago and he has never been able to let it go. He spends his weekends dominating Cora at the Club, but he does not allow her in in any other way. Cora is head over heels in love with Aiden and has been for over 2 years. This book is their story and it is filled with lots of tension, heartbreak and of course steamy steamy scenes inside our fave kinkly club....Club Sin!!!!

This was a great, great read and I cannot wait till the next book. All these Masters sound so yummy and I certainly will wait with baited breath for the next one....

4.5 stars

I loved Bared even more than I enjoyed the first book in the Club Sin series, Claimed. I was so excited to get to hear both Cora and Aidan's story, and fascinating it was. I adored both of the characters and the story they had to share.

Bared adds another fantastic secondary character, while putting emphasis on the characters readers came to love in Claimed. I continue to love the characters, and I think hearing Aidan and Cora's story was one of my favorite stories I've read in awhile.

There are some really steamy scenes, and also some really touching ones in this one! I love Cora as a character; she is so sassy, which is awesome for a heroine. I loved seeing a bit more of Presley as well!

I already am eagerly anticipating the next book in this series! I cannot wait to see whose story will be next. Stacey Kennedy has been added to my Must Read list!

I couldn't get past the first five chapters or so. The initial scene was nice, as was the aftercare, but I could not get into page after page of the main character thinking about how desperately she loves her dom but oh gosh they just can't be together because of his Tragic Past™, and the dom's mental monologue about how his sub is upset but he doesn't know why so he's going to DEMAND answers from someone else's sub... ugh. It was like reading the romance novel version of a mid 90s Sarah McLachlan song. Plus the dom's behavior toward the other sub (who is the protagonist in the first book, I believe) was just plain dickish. Because you're a dominant doesn't mean you have to be an asshole to everyone you meet, bro.

So yeah. I gave up.

I love Bared as much as Claimed. I feel that Stacey wants us to have our happy ever after ending. Bared was the second book of Stacey's, both of the books were wonderful. I feel as though I was at Club Sin with Cora and Aiden when they were in their scene. I think I could be a submissive if I had all of those doms looking out for my well-being like they did for Cora, it just seemed like there was so much love between them all. Then there was Presley who pushed her doms buttons because she liked being punished. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes reading about BDSM clubs. Stacey, I think you did a great job, I look forward to the next Club Sin book. Keep up the great work. I received a copy of Bared from NetGalley for an honest review but I also purchased it.

Safe, sane, and consensual...
I got to meet Aiden & Cora in the first Club Sin novel and was looking forward to getting to know them better. There were enough hints for me to know that there was chemistry between them and that Aiden had some baggage that was holding him back. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at how deep the author took us into their head space. Enough that we knew what each of them were thinking and feeling, but not telling each other. I kept trying to spill the beans, telling the big bad Dom to WAKE UP! I am still very attached to all of the 'Masters' at Club Sin and I look forward to getting to know each of them as the series continues.

Wish I liked it better

Wish I liked it better

It could have been a good story. I wish that I could have giving it better than a 3, but the minute descriptions, long drawn out explanations & the thing I hate most in any book, the inability to talk openly about a fear or problem by a character to stretch out the story. These things killed this book for me. The best part was the BDSM.
