Very good book. Sophie is Alex's assistant, but since his disappearance she has been working for Zach. Between the two of them they have been keeping Alex's part of the business going. Sophie has been attracted to Zach from the time they met, but she hasn't done anything about it. Now she's seriously considering seducing him to get close enough to figure out why he's been so secretive lately. I loved Sophie's no nonsense attitude toward her work. She has been used to keeping track of many things since she was a child as she and her mom struggled to survive. It has worked well for her in her job. She has kept her attraction to Zach under control until they go out to dinner for business and he kisses her. The passion burns hot and motivates her to try seduction. While that was her initial motivation, her feelings for Zach quickly overtake her suspicions and she really hopes that he is innocent of her suspicions. When he catches her snooping their newfound relationship is wrecked and Sophie realizes that it is her fault. She also believes that he is still in love with his ex-wife and when she discovers a secret about Anna she thinks that there is no way she and Zach can ever have a future together.

Zach is worried about his best friend. There are rumors that Alex lied about who he is, but Zach doesn't want to believe that's possible. He is also dealing with guilty feelings over the mental state of his ex-wife, so he spends a lot of time on the phone with her. I loved the way that he cared for her even though the marriage was long over. Sophie's presence in the office has been a lifesaver for the business and a personal challenge for him as he fights his attraction to her. When he discovers that it's mutual, nothing can stop them from taking advantage of it. I like the way that Zach feels so peaceful when Sophie is with him. She has a great effect on his stress levels until the night he finds her snooping on his computer. He can't believe he'd been so wrong about her and the feelings of hurt and betrayal are strong. It takes a little while before his logical side makes him feel that he over reacted and he wants to get back together with Sophie. His reaction to Sophie's news about Anna was great. I loved the way he was finally able to convince Sophie of the truth regarding the state of his relationship with Anna. I liked the way he and Sophie finally talked about everything and the decision they made about their wedding.

My Review:
4.0 Star Review - Texas Cattleman's Club: The Missing Mogul # 3 series
I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by Yvonne. This book includes passion, betrayal and romance throughout the entire story.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books first.
Rumor Has It by Maureen Child
Deep in a Texan's Heart by Sara Orwig

Sophie Beldon is personal assistant to a missing man. Her boss is missing and no one knows what happened to him. She continues to keep his office running in the hopes that he will come back.

Since his best friend is missing Zach Lassiter has stepped in to keep all the projects his best friend is working on progressing. So he is working in his office and she is helping him out it the business side of things. Zach is desperately trying to help his ex-wife through a tough time and also help find out what happened to his best friend.

When Zach starts shutting his laptop and placing calls on hold when Sophie comes into the office she starts to suspect that he might have had something to do with his friend being missing. She decides she should seduce the answers out of him. She is having trouble keeping it to just seducing him and getting answers to her questions and finding out if he has anything to do with his friend going missing. She starts having feelings for him.

I enjoyed the chemistry between the two. They seemed to calm each other when they were together. I like Zach and was not put off by his take charge attitude with his ex-wife. As I am with a lot of the male characters who want to take care of issues by forcing the woman to do what they want. You could tell he cared and was not just forcing her to obey his command. He seemed to really want to help out Anna. Sophie is also a good person and she is very compassionate and understanding. You can tell she is really worried about her boss and is trying to get to the bottom of where he is.

To find out the answers to the below pick up the book:

When Zach finds out what she suspects of him how will he react?
What has “SHE” hired a PI for?
Who feels most betrayed by turn of the events?
What is Zach really hiding?
Who is Anna and why is she important to them both?

Look forward to the next books in this series listed below.

Another Royal, Texas Winner!!

Something About The Boss. . . is the third book in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: The Missing Mogul nine book continuity by Harlequin Desire. The Missing Mogul is Alex Santiago who disappeared in the first book. Sophie Beldon is Alex’s secretary, but since his disappearance, she has been working with and lusting after his partner, Zach Lassiter. They both are desperate to find Alex, and they are also desperate to find a way to have their HEA, but there are some familial roadblocks along the way.

I am a regular reader of the Desire line and Yvonne Lindsay is an auto-buy author for me, so I knew I would love this book. The plot moved along at a good pace. As I was reading, I found myself totally invested in the characters because of the great imagery that was coming off the pages. The characters of Zach and Sophie were genuine people that you might actually work with, and their dilemma is a classic one—dally in an office romance or not? Sophie had doubts about her attractiveness to Zach, but those doubts did not stand in the way of going after the man she wanted. Although Zach was exceedingly rich, he did not have an arrogant air that some heroes in romance novels can have. There was a very big twist in the story that I absolutely did not see coming. This twist was something that could very well happen to any one of us.

Something About the Boss. . . is the epitome of what the Desire line is all about—wealthy families caught up in a grand saga that spills over into multiple books. This newest book from Yvonne Lindsay is a great addition to this continuity and it picked up seamlessly from where the first two books left off, however, it can just as well be read as a stand-alone book. Since it is part of a long continuity, the mystery of Alex’s whereabouts is not resolved in this book, so you’ll have to keep reading for a while! Fans of the Desire line will enjoy Ms. Lindsay’s latest effort. I eagerly await the next book in this continuity as well as Ms. Lindsay’s next book.

This book is the third in the current incarnation of the Texas Cattleman's Club, but it could just as easily have been read as a standalone book.
After the previous two TCC books had unplanned pregnancies it was refreshing to not have another of those situations in this book.
There was definitely still difficulty in the hero and heroine reaching their happy ending, in her long-lost half sister being his fragile ex-wife. It did feel like in reading that we jumped directly from Sophie accepting that her sister and Zach no long had romantic feelings to the "I love you"s and engagement. To me, that just doesn't seem realistic. Having previously read stories by this author this jump is unusual in her writing.

Disclosure: I did receive a copy of this book from the author in return for providing a fair and honest review.

Tengo que decir que esta saga no me esta encantando, y refiriéndome a la novela en sí creo que necesita algo más para que me encante, es buena pero todo pasa muy rápido y no hay nada realmente emocionante siento que todas son un relleno sin sazón para el libro final.

Evaluating this book isn't easy I actually can't exactly say why I didn't like it. The pace is good, the characters were filled in enough it wasn't overly easy to get the couple over their obstacles and those obstacles weren't artificial. I just didn't connect with these characters. I didn't feel anything for them.
