"There is something incredibly satisfying about The Jungle , the second magazine from Nobrow Press. For me its not just the diverse collections of illustrations, or the beautiful three spot color printing. It's the fact that it is a large, tactile, solid publication that you can enjoy paging through which makes it such a success!"—Grant Parker, DDB London An all-star line up of thirty artists and illustrators, including a cover by Blexbolex and illustrations by Marc Boutavent, Henning Wagenbreth, Pietari Posti, Paul Blow, and the emerging talents of Eda Akaltun, Jon Boam, and Jack Teagle.
An array of artists contribute a page or two each depicting scenes from the jungle, mostly minimalistic to utilize the use of three spot color printing to full effect. The designs are all clean and vibrant, and despite the limited color palette, the artwork is quite diverse. It's entirely an artbook with no true sequential stories, so it's really to be appreciated for the large sized artwork alone.
The jungle theme in this issue allows the contributing illustrators to play with notions of camouflage, disguise, hidden dangers, etc., making this volume a particular visual joy.
