Given that the Crow's story takes place before Wool, and considering how the threat to the silo is identified, my best guess is that she's the last remaining member of the original batch of "colonists." I also suspect that the story involving her is the one that culminated in the data-wipe mentioned in Wool.(less)

The blurb I see (about CAN and nanomachines) is actually the beginning of the book, not a real summary.

Basically, once you've read Wool and know how that story ends, Shift goes back to the beginning to show you how the setting came to be, as well as a prior uprising and Solo's backstory. Dust rounds out the trilogy by finally picking up from the end of Wool (and Shift) to move all the story arcs forward.(less)

I'm not particularly looking forward to one of the two threads in the final section (with Jimmy), but I am rather curious to see how the other one plays out.(less)
