Is there an element of self in Nate? I may be wrong, I just get a feeling he may carry some of your traits? :) I have really enjoyed these books and also the spin offs with Callie and Quinn. You have embarrassed me at times though (like when I burst out laughing in the doctors waiting room whilst reading about a certain Demonstalk's sphincter!!!). Thanks for brightening my day :)
Shayne Silvers Hahaha. I would say only the cool parts of Nate are a part of myself... Then again, I'm a fiction author and get paid to sell lies, so... ;)

hi, is there one more.. many more... after "War Hammer"???
Shayne Silvers Nine Souls came out after War Hammer, and for the record, Nate Temple will likely have about 20 books in the series before all is said and done. I also have the crossover Feathers and Fire Series (about Callie Penrose) which will have about 20 books in her series as well.

Shayne Silvers Hey! Only just now seeing this! Book 4 - Angel's Roar - came out April 17th, and I'm currently working on Book 5 - Sinner - to be released in July 2018. Callie will likely have Book 8 in the series published before the year is out. (That's my goal, anyway).

Why did you pick St. Louis, Missoura for your background?
Shayne Silvers I'm from Missouri, and thought St. Louis would be appropriate as the Gateway to the West!

Shayne Silvers Oh, yes. One of my favorites beside Jim Butcher and Patrick Rothfuss. She's great!

When is book 4 of the series scheduled to release?
Shayne Silvers Book 4, Silver Tongue, is already out, and Book 5, Beast Master, comes out March 2nd!

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Shayne Silvers Probably the various romance relationships in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time because the woman totally school the men. Hilarious!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Shayne Silvers At a writers conference in Dallas, TX when I was pushing a horrible story I had written. Luckily, I realized this and set it in my 'later, maybe' pile, which is buried deep in my desk drawer. Very deep.

Shayne Silvers The writings of Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, Jim Butcher, James Rollins, Kevin Hearne, and Russell Blake.

What are you currently working on?
Shayne Silvers The sequel to Obsidian Son, Pale Horse. This will be the 2nd installment of The Temple Chronicles.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Shayne Silvers Keep writing! As Jim Butcher says. It will happen. In the mean time, you are still doing something you enjoy immensely!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Shayne Silvers I get to bring a story to life in a way that hopefully relates to similar issues my readers might be facing in their personal lives. And I can do it in an exaggerated way that is entertaining and enlightening at the same time.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Shayne Silvers A nice glass of wine and an inspirational movie: 300, V for Vendetta, any Marvel or DC movie, etc. Also, the writings of some of the greats, Jim Butcher, Steve Konkoly, Russell Blake, James Rollins, and Kevin Hearne.
