Thanks for the question Sharon. I think the desire to write has always been there. I remember even as a child scribbling short stories and even plays then somehow life seemed to get in the way. It wasn't until I had my son and could work from home part-time that I started to write seriously. Oh, and some encouragement from a writer friend helped get the ball rolling.

Inspiration can take many forms but my series was initially inspired by my stay in Greece. It then took me another thirty years before I sat down to write the book!!! Nowadays, inspiration can come from a song lyric, a character on television, something I'm reading, you name it and it's a potential source of inspiration. That's why I always keep a notebook and pen close by as otherise it will be gone as quicky as it came.
