  • Dolphins' Jaelan Phillips: Full participant Thursday

Phillips (Achilles) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

The linebacker was a limited participant Wednesday after playing 56 snaps across Miami's first two games. Phillips suffered the Achilles tear last November. The fourth-year pro made two tackles, including a sack, in the Dolphins' first two contests.

  • Dolphins' Malik Washington: Limited again

Washington (quadriceps) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

The 2024 sixth-round pick missed all three sessions leading up to Week 2, so he's making progress toward his NFL debut. Washington's status Friday will be worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks. The wide receiver might be able to challenge Braxton Berrios for Miami's third spot behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

  • Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Logs full practice Thursday

Wilson (oblique) practiced fully Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Wilson was ruled out late in last Thursday's loss to the Bills with an oblique injury, but after a limited session to begin Week 3 prep Wednesday, he was able to handle every rep one day later. Fellow running back Raheem Mostert's (chest) reps again were capped Thursday, though, so there remains a question mark in the Dolphins backfield behind No. 1 option De'Von Achane. If Mostert is inhibited or even out Sunday at Seattle, Wilson would be the top candidate to fill in behind Achane.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Another limited session

Mostert (chest) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

After Mostert emerged from Week 1 with a chest injury, the Dolphins held him out of practice on a short week and then ruled him out for last Thursday's contest versus the Bills. As Miami reconvened this week, he's been able to maintain his activity level through two sessions, but his listing on Friday's injury report will be key as it pertains to his odds to return Sunday at Seattle. Once he's cleared for game action, Mostert likely will take a back seat to second-year pro De'Von Achane out of the Dolphins backfield.

  • Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Two touches in Week 2

Ingold carried twice for two yards while playing 24 of 76 snaps on offense last Thursday in the Dolphins' 31-10 loss to the Bills.

The Dolphins make heavier use of fullbacks than most teams in the league, but Ingold has still taken the field for less than 40 percent of the offensive snaps through the first two weeks of the season. Ingold did better with his two carries (eight yards) in the Dolphins' Week 1 win over the Jaguars, but the coaching staff won't go out of its way to scheme up more touches for the 28-year-old in the weeks to come.

  • Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Gets just five carries in NFL debut

Wright carried five times for four yards in the Dolphins' 31-10 loss to the Bills in Week 2.

Wright played 18 of the Dolphins' 76 snaps on offense in the loss, but 10 of those snaps came in the fourth quarter, when the Bills already had the game well in hand. Though the absence of Raheem Mostert (chest) opened up an opportunity for Wright to suit up Thursday after he had been inactive for the Week 1 win over the Jaguars, the rookie fourth-round pick wasn't able to capture meaningful playing time while the Dolphins leaned heavily on De'Von Achane as their lead back and also sprinkled in Jeff Wilson (11 snaps). Mostert and Wilson (oblique) both opened the week as a limited participants in practice Wednesday, and it may take an absence from either of the two backs in order for Wright to suit up Sunday in Seattle.

  • Dolphins' Grant DuBose: Not practicing Thursday

DuBose (shoulder) is not present at the early portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

DuBose was limited in practice Wednesday, but it looks like he'll be listed as 'DNP' on Thursday's injury report. The depth wideout will have one more opportunity to increase his practice level before receiving an injury tag for Sunday's road matchup against the Seahawks.

  • Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Limited practice Wednesday

Wilson (oblique) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Along with Wilson, fellow running back Raheem Mostert (chest) was also a limited participant after missing the Dolphins' Week 2 loss to the Bills. The status of both backs is thus worth tracking in advance of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, with Wilson's chances of making a mark this weekend largely tied to Mostert's availability.

  • Dolphins' Jaelan Phillips: Limited to start week

Phillips (Achilles) was limited in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Miami continues to bring Phillips on slowly as he recovers from an Achilles tear he sustained last November. Barring any setbacks, the 2021 first-round pick should suit up for Sunday's game against Seattle, though he could remain on a snap count. Phillips has tallied two tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, over the first two games of the regular season.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Logs limited practice

Mostert (chest) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Mostert didn't practice leading up to Miami's Sept. 12 loss to the Bills, but with the added recovery time afforded to him by the Dolphins playing on Thursday in Week 2, he's been seeing a daily uptick in progress, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. If Mostert can maintain limited activity in practices Thursday or Friday or even upgrade to full participation, he'll have a good chance at returning to action Sunday versus the Seahawks.

  • Dolphins' Grant DuBose: Pops up on injury report

DuBose (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

DuBose has appeared on the Dolphins' first injury report of the week with a shoulder issue. He'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation leading up to Sunday's game against the Seahawks. DuBose played 26 snaps on offense and caught one pass on three targets for 13 yards in Miami's Week 2 loss to Buffalo.

  • Dolphins' Malik Washington: Limited in practice Wednesday

Washington (quadricep) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice session, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Washington was unable to play the first two games of the regular season due to the quad injury he sustained in early September. He missed all three practices leading up to Week 2 against the Bills, but the rookie sixth-round pick returned to the field Wednesday. If Washington can continue to make progress this week, then he could be cleared to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Seahawks. When healthy, Washington will likely operate in a depth role behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, though he could eventually push Braxton Berrios for the third spot on the depth chart.

  • Dolphins' Malik Washington: Returns to practice Wednesday

Washington (quadricep) is participating in Wednesday's practice, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Washington wasn't able to practice in any capacity Week 2 before being ruled out ahead of the Dolphins' loss to the Bills, but according to Schad, the receiver is feeling good after Wednesday's session. The rookie sixth-round pick will work to keep making progress and get the green light for his regular-season debut during Sunday's game against Seattle. Skylar Thompson will start at quarterback for Miami after Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
