    McConnell signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Hornets on Wednesday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

    A two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year at Rutgers, McConnell spent the 2023-24 season with the G League's Oklahoma City Blue. McConnell will join the Hornets for training camp to compete for a final roster spot, but he'll most likely end up with the Greensboro Swarm.

    Garrett will join the Hornets for training camp and is likely going to end up playing for the G League's Greensboro Swarm. Since graduating from Kansas in 2021, Garrett has spent most of his time in the G League, but he did make 12 NBA appearances for the Heat on a two-way contract as a rookie.

    Micic accumulated 15 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 22 minutes in Serbia's 96-85 win over South Sudan in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.
