Here’s what you need to know:

The first signing day was held in December.

Alabama ranks No. 1 class in 2023, for the third consecutive year.

According to dawgnation.com, Georgia has the No. 2 ranked signing class for the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Among the top targets to watch include Duce Robinson, Walker Lyons, Jamal Meriweather and Ellis Robinson.

Duce Robinson is the No. 1 tight end prospect in the country, but the Phoenix product announced he wouldn’t sign Wednesday. Robinson is a legitimate MLB prospect as well and recently held workouts with the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, according to dawgnation.com. The 6-foot-6-inches and 225-pound high schooler shares a similar frame to Aaron Judge. Robinson still hopes to make a decision before the end of May. Georgia is competing with Southern California and Texas for Robinson’s talents.

Georgia was in the running for 5-star tight end Walker Lyons, who ultimately committed to Southern California.

Ellis Robinson is a 2024 recruit and a cornerback out of IMG Academy in Florida. Robinson was ranked No. 3 in the country at the position and No. 57 overall by Rivals. He chose the Dawgs over Alabama, LSU, Miami, and Colorado. Rivals’ Ryan Wright called Robinson a “big corner who can jam on the line disrupting routes...Teams that try to rub or cross routes are wasting their time.”

The No. 1 recruit in Georgia, Mill Creek safety Caleb Downs, committed to Alabama in July 2022. The highest in-state recruit the Dawgs secured is Barnesville linebacker CJ Allen, the No. 4 recruit in the state. The Dawgs also locked down top-10 recruits Bo Hughley and Lawson Luckie.

Five 5-star recruits and seven top-50 recruits have already enrolled at Georgia. Damon Wilson, Raylen Wilson, Monroe Freeling, Joenel Aguero and Jordan Hall are the 5-star recruits who hope to play between the hedges in 2023. 4-star recruits AJ Harris and Samuel M’Pemba
