I love this episode very much, it has a special place in my heart and is among my all time favourites of the show. I love most of the season 3 episodes because it was just such a special time in the show's life and you could really see the rich creativity that was at work reflected in the stories that were being put out, they had such a fantastic blend of laughter and heart to them, and this one I find especially joyful to watch from beginning to end, I love the pacing, how all the little side plots go together and play off just how much Marge really does hold them all together. I find all the scenes with just Maggie and Homer to be simply precious, it's fun to see different family members interacting more than they normally would, and it's so cosy and sweet at the end when the last one to go to sleep is Maggie, happily reunited at last. There's not a minute that I don't find fun and greatly charming. To say it involves a character's hilarious mental breakdown following a morning straight from hell, the tone is quite mellow and calm afterwards, it's like we take a little break along with Marge as she orders her cheesecake with tequila! To me this was always one of the best, and it's still funny warm and excellently put together, an early heartwarming Simpsons classic! 🌻
