ViX the worlds leading Spanish-language streaming service announced it will premiere a new original comedy series produced and directed by Eugenio Derbez called “Y Llegaron de Noche” [And They Came at Night] on Oct.4.

Inspired by true events, “Y Llegaron de Noche” retells the turn of events that led two underdogs towards the unintentional creation of one of the best Dracula movies made—the Spanish version of the 1931 classic. In comedic fashion while Bela Lugosi filmed his version by day, a separate cast and crew took the opportunity to use the sets, costumes, and a translated script to film during the night. Resulting in a superior version to the original.

The series will star Yare Santana, Sofia Niño de Rivera, AJ Vaage and “Sienfeld” alum Jason Alexander. It was created and written by RobGreenberg and BobFisher (“The Valet” and “Overboard”).

The First Two Episodes Premiere Oct. 4 on the Service’s Premium Plan.
