#OneChicago‘s new faces are bringing some palpable tension to the Windy City in a new promo.
As TVLine reported, Dermot Mulroney has joined Chicago Fire in the series-regular role of Chief Dom Pascal, who replaces the beloved Chief Boden, and the newcomer is already stirring up drama in the below footage.
Given his different leadership style, it’s no surprise that Pascal warns, “There’s going to be changes around the firehouse.”
And there might be more to Pascal than meets the eye, which makes one of 51’s finest suspicious. “There’s something about the new chief that’s a little off,” Severide says.
Meanwhile, Chicago Med‘s new doctor, Dr. Caitlin Lenox (played by Parenthood’s Sarah Ramos), is making her presence known. After Goodwin comments that the hospital needs to rethink how the ED operates, Ramos’ character takes charge, grabbing Dr. Acher’s attention — and not in a good way.
“How old are you?” he asks, to which Dr. Lenox replies, “How old are you?” (Oh, snap!)
Finally, Chicago P.D.’s Voight is burying himself in his work — big surprise! — following last season’s life-and-death ordeal.
Chicago Med Season 10 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c on NBC, where it will into Chicago Fire Season 13 at 9 pm and then Chicago P.D. Season 12 at 10 pm.

I think Med is going to have a great season! Already loving Lenox’s energy with Archer. They have the potential to be great screen partners/frenemies. If the Med writers have any sense at all they’ll focus more on Archer this season too. Great character. He was totally ignored last season and it was a real shame because the actor is so good in his role! Why not use him more? I’m really hoping the writers emphasis on Ripley lessens and they go back to balanced storytelling for all characters. Excited for Sept 25!
Yes on all fronts. Also I’m hopeful we’ll see the old Asher back. Not the cringey version from last season because of Ripley. Though I don’t want Lenox to replace Asher as Archer’s main scene partner. I love the Archer and Asher duo. Still want them to be end game.
Why does almost every new character (in recent seasons) always become suspect. It’s the same formula of introduction – a new person is introduce to 51, someone becomes suspicious or dislikes them automatically, they spend several episodes trying to figure them out, then all is right in 51 land. Sadly it’s become a repetitive storyline – Mason, Phelmam, Carver just to name a recent few who have all had that intro and now it looks like the new Chief will have something similar.
I could not agree more.. same old storyline and I thought Christopher was going to be the chief that would’ve been so cool but who knows..
He could still become the chief. But right now, Hermann is only a lieutenant. He has to become a captain and then a chief. As much as I want to see Hermann in the chief role he can’t just jump two ranks because Boden wants him to. He’s got to put in the work first. And, I don’t know if Hermann actually said he wants that. Did he, and I just don’t remember?
Not a fan of Dermot Mulroney. I hope he’s not around for long.
Ditto
Maybe Captain Casey will parachute in.
