Teen (Joe Locke) and Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) in Marvel Television's AGATHA ALL ALONG, exclusively on Disney+.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Agatha All Along.

Kathryn Hahn’s portrayal of Agnes in WandaVision delighted so many people, she got her own spinoff. Those fans of the Marvel comics have already spotted some easter eggs that could point to the identity of Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch.

Agatha Harkness has a long history in the Marvel comics, making her debut in 1969 in Fantastic Four #94. She’s a powerful witch and one of the original witches from the Salem witch trials—a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and May 1693.

In the first two episodes of Agatha All Along, we’re introduced to a character known only as The Teen (Joe Locke), and fans think they know who he is.

Who is Nicholas Scratch in Agatha All Along?

In the comics, Nicholas Scratch is Agatha’s son (the name “Nicholas Scratch” is an amalgam of colloquial and euphemistic names for the Devil: “Old Nick” and “Old Scratch” or “Mr. Scratch”). So, yeah, a supervillain.

It’s more than an interesting coincidence that the wooden bunny in Agatha’s son’s bedroom is named “Señor Scratchy” and that The Teen picked up the carved rabbit to take a closer look and actually carried it with him when the Salem Seven arrived, which some fans took as a hint the soul of her son is actually contained within the bunny.

(In case you don’t remember, a real rabbit Señor Scratchy was given to Wanda Maximoff by Agatha Harkness for use in her magic act at Westview’s talent show to raise money for Westview Elementary School in WandaVision.)

With the discussions about child sacrifices, it’s possible that Agatha—intentionally or otherwise—sacrificed her son for The Darkhold, aka The Book of the Damned, which is a book of spells containing transcribed dark magic based on ancient engravings carved by Chthon.

“What if she didn’t mean to sacrifice and she wanted to save his life and the typical devil warping the bargain happened and he got turned into an immortal rabbit?” prompted one fan on Reddit. “If it does turn out to be her son it could bring us closer to Mephisto and the continuation of bringing in other universes such as the fantastic four universes like in MoM [Multiverse of Madness],” theorized another.

‘I also think that there has to be something to come of the bringing up of Nicholas scratch who is Agatha’s son. Since Nicholas scratch in the comics is the father of the Salem seven who we know is currently after Agatha. I think you could be right in the sense of sacrifice but maybe not in the way we think.”

Agatha All Along is available to stream on Disney+ with new episodes arriving each Wednesday.
