The New Republic Space Ministry Firrerre Office was a consular office of the New Republic Space Ministry based on[1] the world[2] Firrerre. It issued a red level METOSP warning concerning the planet Jakku via its Moddell Node and Sugai Subnode. The warning advised spacers to avoid approaching or landing on the planet Jakku due to the hazardous environment on and around the world, as well as the minimal services, trade, and law enforcement provided by the residents.[1]
The Firrerre Office was the closest New Republic consular office to Jakku, but neither traveler's assistance nor the ability to request such assistance was available to trailing on Firrerre, and if assistance was required by travelers on Jakku they were advised to report to the office in person.[1] By 34 ABY,[3] the scavenger Rey discovered a copy of the office's warning on the Pilgrim's Road on Jakku and, believing it to be good advice, included it in a survival guide she compiled while living on Jakku.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The New Republic Space Ministry Firrerre Office was first mentioned in the 2015 reference book Rey's Survival Guide, which was written by Jason Fry. The office is only mentioned on part of a fold-out page[1] that was not included in the edition of the book released in the United States.[4]
