Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times ...I was immersed in this story no matter who was telling the tale. Rated: 3/4 May 15, 2020 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby: Them is a lovely enough film even though it may not stick with you much long after the ending credits. Rated: B Sep 1, 2017 Full Review David Sims The Atlantic It's a glum, wrenching experience to watch, but the emotional impact is just far too shallow to linger. Sep 22, 2016 Full Review Diego Batlle Otroscines.com No matter how you look at it, this is a bombastic, obvious, forced, sacharine, and tear-jerking melodrama. Johnson Maclean's Magazine ...Strong performances, however, sustain the drama. And the bold device of separate lives/separate movies, which creates a circular undertow of emotion, should stay in tact. Aug 7, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Geke g Come from eleanor rigby by beatles totally worth jt Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/13/24 Full Review Munkhchimeg T I will recommend if you wanna watch some non active, simple and entertaining movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review Bahad j This idea of the filmmaker made the movie more accessible to more people. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review Gnr E Writing and acting its very good give it 5 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/09/24 Full Review Jane D I loved this movie on so many levels. Having gone through a traumatic birth with my son and the absolute torrent of conflicting emotions and stress on my marriage I can understand why she wants to disappear. It's just too much to lose a child after carrying them for so long and wanting them so badly -- its impossible to reconcile that loss and a couple could crack. McAvoy as the husband, Conor, is trying so hard to bear up after his wife's attempted suicide and her taking off, he is really tormented. She goes to her mother, but the mother fixates on her own loss of her youth and missed opportunities due to her own decision to have children. It's really a film about deep grief for what could have been. Chastain gives credible performance as Eleanor, but she is really so wrapped up in her own little bubble of grief she trys to keep everyone, including her husband from getting in. Kind of selfish, but the vulnerability here is real. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/06/24 Full Review Marc Z I know this is a drama. The pacing in these is normally slower than other Genres; however, this one is a little too slow. The story is really very good. There are a lot of great elements in it. The most significant, salient feature revolves around the performances. James MacAvoy, Jessica Chastain, the late William Hurt, and, even, Bill Hader all give compelling, top rate performances. The movie has a gimmick in that there are three perspectives to: his, hers, and theirs. Regardless it is not enough to save this movie from being too long and having the mind start to wander by the 59 minute mark. Watchable, but not as good as it could have been.
