I don’t care about ship/fandom discourse (I had enough of that in some of my previous fandoms that spiraled wildly), but do not harass, because then I will care enough to block you.
So sometimes when I'm close enough friends with someone, I like to gift them art just to show that I care and have affection for them, because im an artist and consequently sometimes its the only gift i can afford to give lol.
This is a drawing i made of my dear friend Nesma Ahmed @nesmamomen as a gift for her recently.
After there was a massacre near her camp during which her brother was shot and injured by some stray shrapnel in the crossfire, she had told me that the genocide had taken its toll and she was losing all hope of survival, all while she kept blipping in and out because her internet connection was so bad. I didn't know what I could possibly offer to help, so obviously my solution was to gift her a little doodle i was able to do in an hour or so during free time.
It's such a small thing, and its practically meaningless in the face of all she and her family have been facing. But she told me that it made her very happy and she had excitedly shown it to her mother as well. It warms my heart that she recieved this small thing from my side with such love and warmth. She told me it made her feel like someone actually cared.
But obviously, it is not enough.
Nesma told me yesterday that she and her family got food poisoning after eating some spoiled chicken. They had to spend a day at the clinic and probably had to spend some hard earned funds on medicines as well. She is still ill, and too tired to be online as much as she needs to raise funds even with her spotty connection. She told me some time back that she felt the only difference between her and a prisoner on death row is that at least they ask prisoners what their final wishes were.
I know you're tired of hearing about it. I know it's all i post about anymore and you're probably sick of having to see all of this everyday.
But this is the everyday reality people like Nesma have to face, and they can't escape it no matter tired they get of it. We owe it to them to help out, and we cannot lose hope for them, ESPECIALLY when they are flagging after working so hard on survival for so long.
Please help Nesma and her family. Im begging you to help my friend out. Everytime she's late in replying to my messages I'm scared something has happened.

Hey guys its been some time since i made this post but i want to bring it back again because nesma had to increase goal by a lot since then and it seems there is a scammer called ama'l alanqar'r out there who is using this art i made for nesma as a personal gift to impersonate her for their disgusting grift to steal money that should be going to her campaign.
Please keep donating to nesma's actual campaign, recently she and some family members have fallen severely ill and need the funds desperately at the moment.
Nesma herself has been doing everything in her power to boost other fundraisers this whole time even when she was having difficulty getting funds for herself. we go through this every hurricane season but the way people will find any excuse to point the finger at the victims of natural disasters and say cruel shit like "fuck around and find out" like it's not horrifying having to leave behind your home and all your belongings and potentially your pets with the full knowledge that there might not be anything to come back to after... ignoring that there are people that don't have a car or the money to evacuate, ignoring disabled people who have no way to get out, ignoring people that can't find places for their pets to shelter, ignoring people that have medical equipment that can't be moved or replaced, etc... and even if someone stays behind solely because they want to, they still don't deserve to suffer.
as someone who worked extensively in disaster response previously, it is not easy to "just" evacuate, and the relief that comes afterwards is intentionally difficult to obtain. and already the forces that be are trying to spin this narrative that the victims are at fault, to put the blame on them so that if (probably when) people are forced to resort to looting (because the aid never comes) everyone will nod and agree that they're all bad people and deserved it... rather than acknowledging the fact that there was no attempt to make the evacuation accessible and safe for everyone, no guarantee that aid will be waiting for them when they return to a home that has been swept away... no empathy for the fact that these people's entire lives are potentially destroyed with no safety net to catch them.
now that we're starting to see the aftermath and damage done throughout southern appalachia in places like chimney rock (which does not have the infrastructure for this kind of natural disaster. the last time something comparable like this happened was the flood in 1916) please be ready to combat this victim-blaming narrative that will no doubt be weaponized against the people suffering here.
mudslides and flooding will continue even though the storm has passed, and this time following natural disasters like this is the hardest as more people are lost or left struggling without power, aid, or any way to contact help or family.
some places in NC are completely inaccessible, towns in appalachia have been completely wiped off the map. chimney rock and lake lure have been devastated. asheville is cut off and only accessible by air.
until the flooding recedes and power is reestablished, we're not going to know the true extent of the damage or how many people have been lost. there are people stranded right now without food or water or medical supplies and no way out. this is catastrophic. these next few days are going to be the hardest as people struggle to get aid with so many roads destroyed.

no more horrifying emotion than reloading the gofundme page for my friend's family and seeing it being at the same amount as hours ago. he is a full time dental student while working multiple jobs to try to reduce the amount of money that needs to be crowdfunded.
his family is literally evading bombings every single day (sometimes multiple times a day) for the past 11.5 months. his youngest sister is so chronically malnourished that she doesn't even have the energy to cry out of fear anymore. the ground literally shakes and splinters, huge craters in the middle of neighborhoods. dozens of people still missing under rubble just this week.
if you have literally ANYTHING at all please help this family. this decision to move out of Jabalia to somewhere safer is the last resort and it's looking like it has to happen soon. iof announced the intent to cut off North Gaza from the rest of the strip two days ago, saying Hamas was hiding there amongst civilians. we've heard this excuse being used to justify mass murder multiple times. please DO SOMETHING. i am deathly afraid for the safety of the younger siblings.

Yes, Gazans are making multiple accounts, they are sending asks relentlessly, they are copying templates/formats text posts from each other, they are giving extreme and explicit details of their suffering, they are using google translate to try to reach as many people as possible, but wouldn’t you do the same if it was your family you needed for raise money for survival for? How can you not understand where they’re coming from before jumping to calling them scammers?

hi everyone, i'll try to keep this short. today (September 26) was a horrifying and bloody day in Jabalia. there had been 3 family homes that were bombed in early morning, resulting in at least 4 martyrs and 5 injured. this is consistent with iof's recent escalation in Jabalia and surrounding neighborhoods, specifically targeting families with children.
just three hours ago, there were missiles launched at a school in Jabalia, and now at least 15 are killed, mostly women and children who are sheltering there. Civil Defense reports dozens of injured too, many in critical condition. in the past 8 days, iof has bombed 4 schools in North Gaza, specifically bombing children.
this is the eighth day since the iof announced its plans to begin strategizing for a North Gaza siege that would close off the entire region from the rest of Palestine. Hazem's parents (vetted #281) have decided that they needed to protect their children by leaving Jabalia as soon as possible. please help them in securing necessary supplies for daily survival and relocating immediately. this is a matter of life and death.

As much as retconning is the plague of all ensemble stars stories, i think its important to remember that despite everything it wasnt just kohaku who had madaras back. We know, reiterated several times, that because of kohaku the rest of CB were willing to be there for Double Face, the unit, and by extension Madara, the person. Someone clearly important to kohaku. There is nikis encouragement in secret service, the whole CB chapter in spring evening and Rinnes outspoken support for madara in sugoroku boardgame. Madara is part of their little family, even if somewhat estranged. A friends friend is our friend, so to say. He is kohakus partner, therefore he has all of them as much as he has kohaku. No one ever thinks about that, but i find it so underutilised and fascinating. They're all tied together much closer than people realise. Much closer than the written text itself lets them be. But its important to me. I wish to see more of them in the future
