Français : Au 1er janvier 2012, les dix communes de Bussigny-sur-Oron, Châtillens, Chesalles-sur-Oron, Ecoteaux, Oron-la-Ville, Oron-le-Châtel, Palézieux, Les Tavernes, Les Thioleyres et Vuibroye ont fusionné sous le nouveau nom d'Oron. Le lion dans le nouveau blason fait référence à l'ancienne seigneurie de Palézieux. Ce lien est déjà présent dans les blasons d'Écoteaux et de Palézieux. Les couleurs correspondent au blason d'Oron-la-Ville, qui était jusqu'en 2007 le chef-lieu du district du même nom. Les dix billetes symbolisent les dix communes fusionnés. Les billettes sont un motif héraldique répandu dans le canton de Vaud, souvent en lien avec la famille de Gingins et sa seigneurie."

Januar 2012 vereinigten sich die zehn Gemeinden Bussigny-sur-Oron, Châtillens, Chesalles-sur-Oron, Ecoteaux, Oron-la-Ville, Oron-le-Châtel, Palézieux, Les Tavernes, Les Thioleyres und Vuibroye unter dem neuen Namen Oron. Der Löwe im neuen Wappen bezieht sich auf die einstige Herrschaft Palézieux. Dieser Bezug ist bereits in den Wappen von Ecoteaux und Palézieux gegeben. Die Farben entsprechen dem Wappen von Oron-la-Ville, bis 2007 der Hauptort des gleichnamigen Bezirks. Die zehn Schindeln symbolisieren die zehn zusammengeschlossenen Gemeinden.Schindeln sind in der Waadt ein verbreitetes Wappenmotiv, meistens mit Bezug auf die Familie de Gingins und deren Herrschaft. |
