Experience

Alex Apatoff has 15 years of experience working in journalism, with a focus on entertainment, pop culture and celebrity style. She currently serves as the Executive Editor, Digital, helping to execute editorial across special projects, commerce, SEO and evergreen, and serves as the editorial liaison between multiple departments including programming, audience, product, commerce and product marketing.

She joined PEOPLE in 2010 as the Assistant Style Editor, and spent nearly a decade on the style team, finally serving as Deputy Style Director before moving into the Lifestyle Director role to help expand PEOPLE's lifestyle, evergreen and search-friendly content. She still can be found writing "best dressed" galleries for all the major red carpet events, as that's her favorite type of content to create.

Prior to working at PEOPLE, she got her start as an editorial assistant at Us Weekly in 2008; she left as an assistant editor overseeing (among other things) the Fashion Police, Who Wore It Best and Loose Talk pages. Alex also interned at SELF, Cosmopolitan and the Associated Press.
