Nyssa was a 23rd century Human woman. She served in Starfleet aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the late 2270s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.

Biography[]

Nyssa had blue eyes and slender fingers.

In 2278, Ensign Nyssa was on duty when the Enterprise encountered the Romulan space station Reltah on the Federation side of the Romulan Neutral Zone, and she was nervous at the discovery. Despite the station having no life signs, Kirk asked her to hail it, but was unable to determine if messages were being received. She then notified Admiral Lance Cartwright at Starfleet Command of their findings. Kirk decided to board the station, then called Nyota Uhura and Hikaru Sulu to the bridge. (TOS novel: Shell Game)
