Get ready, Blinks! BLACKPINK is literally coming to your area. The globally recognized all-girl K-pop band is giving a new life to their BORN PINK world tour which culminated at the Gocheak Sky Dome in Seoul last December. A concert movie of the tour has been announced alongside an official trailer, dropped on Tuesday, July 9.
Featuring the super quartet of Lisa, Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo, the BORN PINK movie is set to premiere in more than 110 countries, making it one of the biggest global cinema events from a female band. Capturing exclusive footage from their concerts, the film is set to be focused on the iconic ‘Hansok’ set of their performance.
“Join BLINKS across the globe to relive the electrifying energy of the global Top 10 tour that captivated 1.8 million fans worldwide and earned BLACKPINK the highest-grossing tour from a female group in history. BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK WORLD TOUR supported the chart-topping album, BORN PINK, the first by a K-Pop girl group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200,” states the official synopsis of the upcoming film.
The announcement comes at a time when BLACKPINK is inching closer to celebrating the 8th anniversary of their debut. BORN PINK is the sophomore album of the K-pop band, released in 2022, consisting of smash-hit tracks Pink Venom and Shut Down.
BORN PINK will hit the theatres on July 31.
