Move over, net neutrality. Llamas are dominating the news cycle -- and CNN is leading hard-hitting coverage of the fuzzy creatures.

After a high-speed chase involving two escaped llamas gripped the nation on Thursday, CNN journalist Don Lemon interviewed a celebrity llama named Pierre on live television.

Pierre, who was not involved in the morning's llama drama, has previously appeared on Saturday Night Live, according to his handler Susan.

During the in-studio "interview," Lemon asked if he could change Pierre's name to "Lorenzo Llamas" but the animal wasn't having any of it.

No, @donlemon, you can not rename #Pierre 'Lorenzo Llama,' and yes that is 'so corny.' http://t.co/xFeiqeTBed pic.twitter.com/KUp54xfJhM— CNN Tonight (@CNNTonight) February 27, 2015

Pierre made the rounds at CNN, posing with various staffers in photos that CNN Tonight posted on its Instagram account:

Judging by his popularity there, Pierre would fit right in as a permanent member of the CNN team. We can see it now: Llama King Live.
