Jetpack Calendly Block

Have your visitors schedule one-on-one appointments, group events, and team meetings directly from your website via Jetpack’s Calendly block.

Activation requirements

To use this block, you will need a free Calendly account. If you do not have a Calendly account, you can sign up here for free.

The Calendly Block is a part of the Jetpack Blocks suite and is activated by default. It does not require a paid upgrade to use. See our Jetpack Blocks article to learn about the available blocks and how to activate them.

Jetpack Blocks require the Block Editor (also referred to as the Gutenberg editor). If you’ve installed the Classic Editor plugin, you will need to switch back to the Block Editor either by:

  • Deactivating the Classic Editor: Go to PluginsInstalled Plugins in your WP Admin and deactivate the Classic Editor plugin.
  • Enabling both editors: If you prefer flexibility, navigate to Settings → Writing in your WP Admin. Set Allow users to switch editors to Yes.

See Using Blocks and the Classic Editor for more details.
It may happen that an editor that comes with a custom theme or plugin prevents you from using the Block Editor. In that case, please contact the respective plugin or theme author for further assistance.

Add a Calendly block

You can add the Calendly block by searching and/or selecting it from the Jetpack section of the block selector. Alternatively, you can type /calendly on a new line and press enter. You can recognise the block as its Calendly logo is green. See Jetpack Blocks for detailed instructions on adding blocks.

To configure the block, enter your Calendly web address or link for a specific type of event.

To get a link from Calendly, please follow the instructions on this Calendly documentation page.

Back on your site, paste that link into your Calendly block.

Customize the Calendly Block

You can customize different aspects of your Calendly block; depending on what you want to customize, you’ll need to make the changes in either your Calendly account or the block’s settings on your site.

Change the type of Calendly embed

The Calendly block can be displayed on your post or page as a full calendar, button, or popup. You can also display a floating button for your entire site.

To display your Calendly block as an inline calendar or button, check the Block settings option on the sidebar. If you do not see the sidebar, click the Settings icon (looks like a menu) next to the Publish button.

To display your Calendly block as a floating button, please follow the instructions on this Calendly’s documentation page.

The floating button can be displayed on specific pages only by adding the same code into a Custom HTML block.

    Align the Calendly Block

You can select and manage the block’s align settings from the Block toolbar. Click on the Calendly block, and then on the Align icon.

    Change the Calendly embed look

You can customize the button’s appearance when displaying the Calendly block as a Link. You can make the following changes:

    • Change the button style: display the button filled where the color will fill the button, or use an outline with only a colored border around the button.
    • Change the background and text color: specify the background and text color and the border-radius. You can also use a gradient or solid background color.

Other changes to the look and feel of the Calendly block need to be made via the Calendly website. You can learn more about the available options using this Calendly documentation.

    Advanced

On the advanced tab you can add a CSS class to your block, write custom CSS, and style the block as you see fit.
