A direct quote from an acquaintance to her is "oh, are you the Ariel all of the bad things have happened to?" She is not a victim-mentality princess. She is a resilient, ambitious, self-contained person who has made some mistakes, torches herself in confessing them, but has also faced an immense amount of pain. Trigger warnings for loved ones with addiction, fertility challenges and pregnancy loss, and adultery. I'm very very glad I read it and her writing is echoing in my head. But I'm sure it is not everybody's cup of tea. Certainly shouldn't be read in public as it can trigger tears a page after making you laugh. ...more
