Born Helena Kowalska on a clear August day in 1905, to a poor Polish family, she was the third of ten children. When Helena turned nineteen, she felt called by Jesus to go to Warsaw and enter a convent. After arriving, she was turned down by convent after convent, until finally, one accepted her. She took the name Faustina and stayed in the convent until her death in 1938. Little would have been known about her if it had not been for her extraordinary revelations. Sister Faustina’s most extraordinary revelation—the one she is famous for—was of Jesus appearing to her with white and red rays protruding from his heart. Jesus told her that he wanted her to have a painting made of the vision and have as its banner, “Jesus, I trust in you.”
Lovely little biography. It's short (68 pages) and meant only to whet the appetite for more. As all of his books I've read there are a number of typos - not sure if they're just in the kindle format. Either way, it needs to be fixed. Other than that it's a good, but excessively brief little book about St. Faustina's life. I'd recommend this to anyone who's curious about her, but not ready to commit to the nearly 300 page authorized biography.
Sister Faustian is a saint I had never heard of. She seems to fly under the radar even thought she only recently died in 1938. She is known for her apparitions of Jesus and the devotion of Divine Mercy.
The author has written a story of great detail about the life and suffering of a holy and dedicated Sister that provides an outline of how we should be learning our life and how to spread God’s Divine Mercy. A perfect guide for spreading God’s Mercy.
I have read Saint Faustina Kowalska full volume before now. This is just a brief mention of what is to be expected. Should you read this I would hope you would read the entire large book. It is in my top ten most important reads. Once you start you won’t be able to put it down. Life changing.
I enjoyed reading this ebook- no typos- no problems- on her feast day i am happy to now know the mystery of the divine mercy… the whole story behind the rays of the heart of jesus in some pictures yay!!!
I had never heard of this Sister before. I'm so glad I know of her now. Thank Jesus for His divine mercy in every way! Let the words written speak to your heart as we all need humility and grace.
Such humility is inspiring! Divine Mercy is awesome. Once you begin her story, you will not stop. Do not be afraid of the tears you will shed;; they will lead to your salvation.
Many inspiring moments to remember in this short bio., it covers important events And milestones . Answers common questions about her life and communication with Jesus.
Well written but when listening to it on Hoopla, the narrator kept screwing up his words for a good 5 minutes. I was unsure if this was a writing issue or something separate. Other than that, it was informative and a good book
What a Saint! So incredibly inspirational! Thank you Jesus for trusting Saint Faustina with your words of Mercy and forgiveness. Mr. North a wonderful read.
