There is a magic about cats that is both alluring and dangerous Even as kittens, they can be as mischievous as the flirtatious glint in a maiden's eye or as mysterious as the enigmatic smile on a lake's lips. Now, just in time for Halloween come three bewitching Regency tales that prove that when felines intervene in the lives of mortals, true love follows.
Nancy Lawrence writes traditional Regency romances, where the heroes are gentlemen, the heroines are ladies, and there’s always a fancy-dress ball to attend. Nancy lives with her family in Aurora, Colorado, “the best city in the world if you can’t live in Bath, England.”
My Mother bought me this paperback book many years ago simply because she thought of me when she saw it and she knew my love of kittens. I am not even sure I read it when she originally gave it to me. I found it again while cleaning out closets and decided to read it simply because it was from my Mom and I miss her so. It is clearly a book of three short romance novels, all involving a kitten as a main character which made it all the more intriguing for me. A fun read!
this book contains three short stories from different writers. each story is about how a cat helps a couple find and keep true love. the stories are very cute, but not really interesting to me. they seemed to be geared to younger readers. it is supposed to be a romance book, but there is little to no romance in it. yes of course, the people fall in love, but that's it. there is absolutely no sexual content in this book. the stories are written by cindy holbrook, nancy lawrence, and hayley ann solomon.
These were really cute short stories. I am not a big fan of regency period romances of any sort but I did like the magickal aspect of these books.
I thought they were well written and sweet little stories, and in keeping with the time frame. I like the idea of using the cats to bring lovers together, its a rather unique idea. That in itself makes for an interesting story.
Fans of both regency style romances with magickal twists should definately give this book of three short stories a try.
