'KOYN (ROYAL BASTARDS MC)' Is a full length MC Dark Romance novel by K. webster. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

First off take a look at the genre, this genre pushes boundaries (MC) one where authors have free reign to let loose all their craziness, and this book is no different, if you have triggers this book may not be for you, because those triggers are going to be pushed. This was dark, disgusting, dirty, deadly. This woke up my dark little heart and it stood to attention.

The 'Prologue' sets us up for a dark gritty read where a mother and daughter die at the hands of a sadistic man associated with a biker gang all in the name of a job.

Ten years go by as Koyn gathers an army of brothers in arms, becoming the president of the Royal Bastards MC, alongside men that have his back, revenge paves his path to destruction as Koyn and his band of brothers hunt down the man responsible for killing his family, and anyone associated with that gang is destroyed.

28494211-SY540

Hadley is a runaway hiding from the horrors of her past life with her childhood boyfriend who is immersed within gang life run by his father.

Koyn and Hadley meet in unusual circumstances, and he takes her back to his club house mansion where he takes care of her like he would his own daughter if she were still alive. And vows to keep her safe until he can return her to her father.

Please just please don't call the guy you are sleeping with Daddy! Just no!! I cringed every single time!! It sent unwanted shivers down my back!! lol

I'm a big Sons of Anarchy fan, so I've been craving an awesome MC series to sink myself into for quite some time now. Despite that, nothing I've tried up until this point has been able to keep my interest or make me come back for a second installment.

image host

When I found out one of my favorite authors was publishing one, I crossed my fingers and hoped my luck had changed.

The verdict?

image host

I'm coming back for seconds, y'all!

Koyn is part of the Royal Bastards MC series. Each installment is written by a different author about a different chapter of the club, so this is Kristi's only contribution to the series. However, she has said that she's going to give other characters in her story their own happily ever afters, and I, for one, can't wait!

There were a few side characters that peaked my interest right away, and I'm intrigued enough to want to find out more about them. I especially want more of Dragon. He's the psychotic one, so is anybody really surprised by my statement?

image host

Didn't think so! You know how I love the crazies! Haha. If he gets an unhinged heroine, I  may cry actual tears of joy.

What do you need to know about Koyn?

It's K Webster all wrapped up in one little package.

Daddy hero ✔
Large age gap ✔
Sassy, young heroine ✔

image host

Dark ✔
Dirty ✔
Disturbing ✔
Gruesome ✔
Violent ✔
Gory ✔

Steamy ✔
Fucked up ✔

I'll leave the last couple off my check list, because I don't want to give too much away. Once you've read the story though, you'll know what I would have put there, and it's all written in K Webster's usual captivating style that had me reading all through the night.

Who should read it?

*If you have any triggers, proceed with caution. Like I said, this is a K Webster book, take that warning seriously. She doesn't hold back in her writing, especially if what she's writing is fucked up. It's why I love her, but you may feel differently. Best to avoid this one or talk to someone that's read it if you're unsure.*

*** 3.5 Stars!!!***

This was not one of my favourites of K. Webster. I know when I crack open one of her books, I need to expect the unexpected and expect it to be dark! She weaves some awesome tales, and loves to add the forbidden aspect into most of her stories. This story had all of that; but for some reason I had a harder time accepting the hero’s actions towards his heroine. Don’t get me wrong, Koyn definitely had reason to be jaded and violent towards people after the tragedy he experienced... the thing is though... I found at times he was no better than the people that did him wrong. I know this probably isn’t making any sense.. I just don’t want to spoil anything about the story!

This is an instalment of the Royal Bastard series. It does stand alone as they all seem to do. This book took place in the Tulsa chapter. So far this series has proved to be extremely violent and dark. If you don’t mind that... then give it a try. I do caution readers to be prepared to think outside of the normal box than we are used to. If you aren’t prepared... these stories will not be enjoyable for you!❤️

Full Review.

I was generously gifted a copy of this early. I know a lot of people are usually scared to be honest when they receive Arcs or whenever they have a relationship with the author but I’m not.
You get what you get with me and I’ll like to think that people appreciate my honesty.

If you know me, you know that I’m a huge fan of Kristi. I love most of the books I read from her and her ability to write taboo topics is truly amazing.
When she said that this was going to be a dark romance I was sold because it’s my favorite genre and she usually does it so well.

However, this book was such a disappointment. I actually cringed while reading it so I’ll try and keep this short.

Koyn’s wife and daughter was brutally murdered in front of him by bikers. 10 years later he’s the prez of his own club and is out for revenge.
Hadley, is living in an MC club with her BF who is the son of the biker Koyn is after. He constantly cheats on her and she forced to suck Magna’s (his father) dick. She refuses to leave because she’s in love and ran away from home due to personal issues.

Koyn gets the location of Magna and finally makes his move. That’s when he meets Hadley, he saves her ( from being raped by her BF) and instantly develops feelings for her because she looks like his daughter, you know the one who died.

In the span of a week, she’s already fucking him and they have this amazing connection....did I mention that there’s daddy play? Because how can I fucking forget!!!!! He’s pushing 50 and she’s barely 18, she looks like your dead daughter....but by all means please Daddy her.

Then there’s the Dark part of this story....honestly I just found it disgusting. I’m not squeamish and I definitely don’t have triggers but I found the "torture” scenes to be disgusting.

Let’s add some more fun...Hadley actually ran away because her dad repeatedly raped her, which we got to witness first hand right before he lets Magna rape her multiple times.

This entire book makes no fucking sense!
I do not recommend!

Another BR with the always lovely Cassandra.

Good God! This starts on a very dark, emotional note.

You know what? I understand why Hadley forgave Milk but it doesn’t make me happy. In fact I’m hoping there’s vengeance even if it’s out of her hands. Fucking manipulative men!

We all know I love my taboo books but it’s still a little strange to me that she reminds him of his daughter. Its only a matter of time before she calls him daddy. I’m not surprised, this isn’t new territory for Ms Webster and I’m certainly not complaining. Just worth mentioning.

It does make you wonder what goes through a man’s mind when he originally wanted to be her daddy, her real daddy to crossing that line.

I will say they’re adorable from the get go, even when he’s trying to keep her in line. I love me a cinnamon roll.

Koyn confuses the ever living shit out of me. Like considering what happened to his wife, why would he take Hadley like that? And then, making her eat Thanksgiving dinner in that condition … why?

Well, after everything that Koyn’s done to her I’m pretty torn on how I feel about this one. Fucking sins of the father bullshit. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Overall I loved this book until Thanksgiving. Everything that happened after was one thing after another that just didn’t sit right with me. Then when Koyn showed no remorse, it just put the nail in the coffin for how I feel about this book. Which makes me really sad, because I adore this writer. (As if that wasn’t obvious)

I was hooked from the start! The prologue was graphic and gory and horrific and everything I expected from the twisted, fabulous mind of K Webster! Koyn was born out of loss and despair. He dedicated the rest of his life to revenge, to take vengeance against those who took all that he loved away from him. However, when the day for retribution comes, one wee girl, his chance at redemption, stands in his way. Can he torture and kill and make them pay without losing what's left of his soul? And can this girl offer him the possibility of a future he could no longer imagine? Read this book to find out!

I won't even refer to the 'heroine' by name because she was everything I couldn't stand about this story. I loved the daddy kink that was prevalent in this tale, but I could have done without her actually acting like a petulant child. Aside from the prologue, this story didn't read like the typical Webster fare. I love that she wrote an MC romance and I absolutely adore what she created when she made Koyn. He was extremely alpha, dark and depraved, scarred and different. I was really feeling his drive for revenge and I gloried in every way that he achieved his ultimate goal. Incredibly violent, grisly, gruesome and perfect! The story of Koyn just gave me one more reason to love this author!!

I asked myself this question.. like 829922 times.. "you can read other books in this huge series with authors thats so twisted and dark..but cant read this book??"

And i did read some reviews on well the negative stuff.. but i did push it aside.. since i enjoy k Webster stuff alot..

Okay... i.. idk i can't finish this book i skimmed the rest... i could push aside the dark stuff.. but i can't do the
You remind me of my dead daughter..it creeps me the fuck out..

Quotes that turned me off to this couple and book.

"I’m not some sick asshole. She looks like my daughter, for fuck’s sake."

My dreams last night had been confusing. A memory rather. Me rushing to Blaire when she was little. She’d cried after a nightmare. Then, somehow, I was living my memory but with Hadley.

“Yes.”
His hand cups my cheek. “You know it’s wrong for me to want to fucking own you.”
I shrug. “Because I look like your little girl did.”
“Yep.”

Blaire.
My sweet Blaire.
I’m struck by how similar they are. Dark brown eyes. Pale skin. Pert nose. My palms cradle her sweet face and I lean in so I can memorize every detail.

🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Im sorry... but.. i can't.

This could have been a good book for me if he didnt always compare his dead daughter to Hadley...it was just no.. for me..

What another incredible read, K.Webster continues to blow me away with her stories and writing talent. I will warn you though, this is Dark, like there are no boundaries here dark. Gritty, dirty, deliciously deviant, she brings it all. You will need a box of tissues for the ugly cry moments and raw sections where your heart just bleeds, but one thing for sure is, you wont want it to end!!

I devoured every page and could not put it down.

Addictive, Gritty, Dark and down right sinister. This gets 5 Stars from me

I don’t even know how to rate this book. I want to rant about it tho.
This had so much potential!!!!!! I love K. Webster’s writing style. Always manages to lure me in with her words.
Koyn was a great guy pre murder. He built his team of loyal bikers and I was here for it. THEN he starts comparing Hadley to his daughter. Hadley (I think I’m spelling her name wrong come to think of it) is the girl Koyn is falling for because she looks like his daughter and he wants to daddy her. Dude, why would you romanticize fucking someone who looks like your daughter? What’s wrong with your wife? That was just a bit uncomfortable for me. THEN this girl gets raped by her father and his business partner while Koyn does nothing to avenge her or sympathize. This was just one long sigh.

Who’s your Daddy? K. Webster is at it again and she slays
*e-book generously provided by the promo team in exchange for an honest review*

When Lana Del Rey wrote Ride, she read way too many MC books. I see that now, years later. LOL
description

“I've been out on that open road
You can be my full time, daddy white and gold
Singing blues has been getting old
You can be my full time, baby
Hot or cold.”

Ride – Lana Del Rey

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Koyn used to be somebody else, Jared with a wife and a daughter. These days, he’s prez with a plan to take down the people who ruthlessly murdered his family. Hadley enters the picture, resembling Koyn’s daughter a little too much and Koyn starts growing certain feelings for the girl… a little too much.

This is not my first K. Webster book. I’ve been in an on and off relationship with her Highness of Dark Romance because of my own personal decisions. However, this is the first MC bookthat I’ve started and FINISHED, gloriously, I might add. I like the word bitch in my vocabulary, but I'm not a fan of it being used so casually all the time LOL. K. Web sorta made me get over that feeling REALLY QUICK.

Captivated by the prologue, I went on to read and dive into two separate worlds. When these worlds finally get connected, we get steamy tension, an age gap to die for and possessive and punishment-loving DADDY vibes. Seriously. I missed reading K. Webster, the wild and crazy stuff. The final chapters of the book come with a SMACK in your face. I wasn’t prepared for the full-on mystery/thriller that K. Webster managed to lure me into. At a certain point, I stared at the words in front of me, baffled. The characters’ actions and the growing plot twists in the second half of the book kept me on the edge of my seat. A complete page-turner, I couldn’t stop reading until there was nothing left. Hadley and Koyn were an interesting combination with questionable motives that made for scorching hot scenes. I found that we knew Koyn from the start pretty accurately, knowing what to expect, but it was Hadley that unfolded throughout the book. I thought I knew her and then I was proven completely wrong, as we found out more of backstory.
I loved this read and I’m curious to read more of the series!

I really enjoyed the beginning, well other than the fmc irritating me with her "Love" for the guy that took her virginity. I had issues with the last half of the book. I just didn't like the climax or the things that happened after it. That's why COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT, CHILDREN. The sex was fucking hot though. I doubt I'll continue with the series

Koyn and Hadley meet when Hadley's boyfriend was about to rape her. This triggers Koyn's past and he kills Milk instantly. Koyn takes her to the club and looks after her like his own daughter (his daughter and wife was murdered together) and protect her, until he finds and returns her to her daddy.

K. Webster tries every range of writing. This one just didn't hit. You have taboo here, there are dark and gritty scenes, possessive hero, daddy and daughter scenes. Best contents to reach this book but this book didn't hit as much it had capability to.

Koyn once known as Jared, had a family, a teenage girl and a wife. He comes home to find them tied up, raped and murdered infront of him. Ten years later Koyn turned twisted and jaded, President of a MC Club, Royal Bastards and looking out for revenge. Koyn kind of has two personalities, one where he is psychotic and another when he remembers his dead daughter and is sweet and caring. Hadley runs away with her childhood boyfriend, Milk, who is the member of another club. Hadley's life changed after her mother dies, she hides from her past, hoping one day to marry Milk. But Milk repeatedly cheats on her. Koyn finds out the location of Magna, Milks father, the murderer of his family but instead found Milk assualting Hadley.

Where the book begins to go down:

1) Koyn is attracted to Hadley because she resembles his dead daughter. There could be similarities with his dead wife and the hero could find a young girl attractive and the daddy kink can be played but being attracted to daughter's resembler seems off putting.
2) Koyn breaks most of his club rules and when anyone kind of 'protests' he glares at them, and they just, “Do what you gotta do, Prez. We got your back”.
3) I found the story less biker and more mafia type.

Both MC's have a dark past assembling them to today's emotions and actions. Koyn gives more psychotic vibe and Hadley has a tramautic past. She is raped by men and it's not easy to read the dark scenerio the author has build. This book is wild and crazy. There is steamy and disgusting scenes which is absolutely perfect for the built of these dark characters. I loved the plot and I'm always curious about how it ends. The villians really got a deserved ending.

Book triggers: violence, rape, daddy kink play, huge age difference, darkness and tragedy.

It's weird that a book like this rarely evoked such rage from me, no matter how outlandish and awful the plot was.

Now, those books that grounded in reality, with real life issues and social commentary, now that fills me with rage. Those books I need to stay away from. If I want anything real, I could just check out the latest news on tv or the news. Now, that's a great way to spend your day in existential crisis.

Anyway, too heavy. Let's talk about this damn book.

It was definitely dark dark. Tons of triggers. But overall, in the end, it gave me a big 'eh' vibe. Something I noticed with any of K.Web books, is that they gave me this detachment feeling I have with the things that happened in it. However, let me emphasis that this is ME thing. I think this book would traumatize a lot of people if they aren't ready for the things happened in it. What doesn't trigger me, may trigger you up MASSIVELY. Me? I'm too eff up. With that said, there are things that happened that was taken too far. It's not an enjoyable read, it's more of a fucked up, torture/rape galore of a story. Don't expect a romantic relationship coming your way here. This is not that kind of book. I would say, this is the kind of book you read if you want to torture your psyche.

That's all y'all.

Although this is an innovative, exciting, sexy story, I struggled to feel the emotional connection between the main characters. The “Daddy” thing can definitely be sexy, but it didn’t fit for these two in my opinion since the female main character reminded Koyn of his daughter, who he had not been sexually attracted to. I loved everything else about the storyline, though, and would love for Webster to write books on all of the other club members, especially Dragon!!!!!

I always love Webster’s stories, but I so so soooo badly wish she had an editor who knew how to proofread or hired a proofreader!!!! As always, there were punctuation errors (the FANBOYS rule is never followed), missing words, extra words, wrong words (for example furtherwhen it should have been farther and hunk for chunk), and mistakes like, “Something I can’t quite put my finger on it.” Her books could so easily be perfect...

I love K Webster. She writes taboo and does it so well. Koyn, on the other hand, I did not love.

It got to where I felt like I was speed reading just so I could be done with certain scenes, and honestly the whole book. Anything I specify about Koyn will be a spoiler to the plot, so I’ll just leave you with how I felt while reading this:

-disgusted
-creeped out
-what’s the opposite of horny?

Even the revenge wasn't enough to save this one for me. That should speak volumes as I am a revengemonster.

"...something lurks within him. A calmness that is felt before a catastrophe. Dark. Sinister. Foreboding."

All the yaaaaasssss!!! A fiery, exciting, slightly twisted MC that held me in its thrall and had me biting my lip and squirming in my seat. Koyn is a domineering Daddy age gap MC romance that kept me on my toes, dancing on the line of WTF and OH MY YES!!! Filled with dark, heart pounding, gritty rawness, I couldn't put it down. It made me question my sanity, but loving it so much, I didn't care. Don't swim in this pool if you're faint of heart, but it's absolutely exhilarating once you dive in!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

Dark and Sexy

I was pulled in right from the beginning when we learn of Koyn and what made him into this badass biker. Koyn will do anything to get revenge. He is thrown for a loop when he runs into Hadley who reminds him of his past.

This book had all the right ingredients for a great biker book. Dark, gritty, gore, flying bullets, family, sexual chemistry, and let's not forget some twisted shit.

I want to hear more from the rest of the guys. Hope maybe K. Webster will write their stories at some point especially Dragon's and Coppers.

Wowza! This book is so intense. I love it when KWeb goes dark and dirty! You know, that next level type of debauchery that only she can bring to the table. Koyn is a sick and twisted MC read, with a violent alpha biker and a taboo, age gap romance thrown in. What’s not to love?! It’s both sexy and gory. Perfect combo! If you like dark romance, you’ll want to grab this one!!

I read quite a lot of negative reviews about this book. And for like half an hour I dove into them. Mostly they didn't like the taboo side of this book and gave it 1 or 2 stars. It was judged by the subject, not by how the book was written.

Because the book is written in such an engaging, fun and captivating style. I absolutely loved and devoured this book. I am a sucker for taboo stories. And this daddy/daughter kink totally turned me on and I couldn’t read fast enough to absorb every single detail of this book.

The book stars off with Jared, before he became the bad-ass Koyn. His wife and daughter are brutally raped and murdered in front of his eyes. He was helpless, but was able to save himself near the end. The man who killed and raped them, fled and is he out for vengeance ever since.

Then there is a time skip of 10 years into the present. Is the prez of his own club. It’s small but he knows for certain everyone is loyal to the bone.

Hadley is in a relationship with Milk in another motorcycle club. He keeps on cheating, and she is scared of his father. She just turned 18. Magna, the father of Milk and the prez of his club, has his eye on Hadley. He forces her to give him a blow job.
Then she finds Milk f***ing someone else. And she gets so mad. But Milk retaliates and is about to rape her. But then Magna and Milk’s compound get attacked by Koyn and his men, and they take Hadley with them.

I was drawn in immediately into the relationship of Koyn and Hadley. Hadley is the spitting image of his late daughter. And they have quite a big age gap. She is 18 and he is late 40’s/early 50’s. I love age gaps, so this was totally up my alley.

She is feisty and strong and loves to get Koyn’s attention. I love how he tries to keep his distance. But of course they inevitably grow closer.
Their sexual attraction is pure fire. I love Koyn’s restraint. I love how save Hadley felt. They are scorching hot together.

I love the whole revenge vibe of this book. And I love how dark the later scenes were. I loved the details. And my body shuddered with some of the things they did.
The book is written so captivatingly. I felt every emotion. The anger, lusting and longing tore right through my body.

This book totally confirmed again how big a lover and admirer I am of K. Webster and her books and writing style!

5 BIG ASS stars from me! ♥

And I loved how Copper’s story is set up for book 2. Cannot wait to read that one! I can already feel the push and pull between Copper and… SPOILER ALERT: Stormy!

Oh and plus! I absolutely loved all the members of the club. Dragon is by far my favourite. I know book 3 is about him and I cannot wait to explore what goes on inside of his head. You’ve got me hooked Kristi!

It has been a long time since I read a truly dark MC book but boy oh boy did K Webster deliver everything on my tick list and more. Now I won't lie for some there are some scenes that may be triggers so if dark isn't your thing listen to the warnings.

Koyn is a man you will love and hate in equal measure, he is a cruel brutal man changed by his horrific past. At times his actions border on the psychotic and they were hard to read but they were integral to the story. It took me a while to warm upto Hadley mostly because I couldn't figure her out. Her actions and emotions were all over the place it was like she couldn't make up her mind what was right and wrong, good or evil but then I reminded myself of her age. The story is a crazy mix of passion and revenge with so many good secondary characters that deserve a book of their own.

Koyn: Royal Bastards MC is an MC romance by Author K. Webster.

WHO’S YOUR DADDY?!? Koyn! Holy smokes. He’s alpha hot, protective, and stubborn. Trying to get revenge for wrongs done in the past, he meets Hadley. She’s familiar. She needs a savior.

Bent on revenge at any cost, Koyn and Hadley crash into one another and sparks begin to fly. They are volatile, leaving a mess in their wake, and they burn with desire for the forbidden.

A very different type of MC story, I loved how Koyn and his men could have words with each other just like any other MC. But, their roots went so deep that you always saw their connections come to the forefront. Nothing could tear them apart.

I loved this story and can’t wait for more in this series.

This was book 1 in the "Royal Bastards MC: Tulsa, OK" Jared "Koyn' Koynakov had it all a wife a daughter and a thriving business when a psycho rapist took it all ten years later he is Koyn a ruthless biker president that is looking for revenge. When he gets a lead on the man that killed his wife and daughter they go in guns blazing. Hadley is not having a good day he boyfriend Milk is cheating on her and when she catches him with a club girl he is beating her when bullets start flying. When Koyn fines him he kills him and takes Hadley. This was a really good read with a lot of action in it. I liked all of the guys they are loyal to the MC including Copper who is Koyn's brother is a FBI agent who is also looking for revenge. Hadley refuses to tell them who she really is she doesn't want to go home. When her and Koyn begin having sex it is hot as hell it is down and dirty Hadley begins making friends with Stormy who is a club girl. When someone comes to kidnap Hadley he is tortured and it is gruesome. When the club finds out who she is Hadley is returned home turns out it is a beautiful house but a house of horrors for her she is abused by her father and he let's his friend abuse her also and when Koyn finds out who was behind his families deaths he goes back for her only to get revenge not knowing what is being done to her. I wished she would have told him why she didn't want to go home. This was a really good read filled with hot sex and action turns out they had a trader in their mist. I loved that Koyn realized what happened to Hadley and gave her a chance for revenge. When I was looking for a good Biker read I am glad I picked this one it lived up to what I was looking for. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Whoa...this was dark and gritty. There were moments when I think my eyeballs almost popped out of my face because I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
I’ve never read K. Webster before, this was a first. I feel like I fell into the deep end, but hey, I can swim now.
I really don’t know what to say other than my brain still might be in shock.
So what happens in this book?
TERRIBLE things happen to these characters. Hadley, I desperately wanted her to be safe and happy. She says “I’m scared” like it’s a catchphrase, and it tore my guts out each time. Just know it gets ugly, it gets bad. It’s labelled dark for a reason. It might even make other books under that label seem tame.
What I can say is K. Webster is a heck of a writer. I’m probably going to read more written by her. I can appreciate how she weaves a story, how she pulls you into a scene, and her ability to explore the mind of the characters. She does dark very well. And this is most assuredly dark. So much so I was uncomfortable at times.
It’s an intense story. One of pain and revenge. It grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let go. It made me feel, both positive and negative feelings. Which is what I like when I read, whether it's good or bad. I think that’s the best I can describe it.
Be prepared if you read this because it’s not for the faint of heart or squeamish. So if dark and twisted fiction is not something you can handle, don’t do it. But if it is, go for it.
