Just when I felt like everything was falling apart, I'm beginning to wonder if maybe they were finally falling into place.

I have a mix of shattered, soulful, sweet, and swoon-filled tears in my eyes left from The Catch. My feels are still flying at full force. My emotions are still entwined around every bit of this book. This surprise of a story snuck up on me, throwing a HUGE CURVEBALL my way, and I LOVED EVERY FAST-FLYING MINUTE.

After just one chapter, my heart jumped, racing out of my chest, beating fast and furiously. I knew almost immediately that this romance is a GAME CHANGER, as The Catch DELIVERS ALL THE THINGS!!! The Catch went from something to EVERYTHING in mere minutes. Sexy, swoon-filled, and spine-tingling, The Catch hits the heart hard and shreds the soul in a roller coaster of a romance that is BASEBALL BOOK BLISS.

The characters immediately pulled me towards them where I was I intertwined so closely, they felt real. Scout, so strong and beautiful, is a warrior woman fighting battles for those she loves. Easton is one hot and full-of-heart alpha of a ball player who goes to bat for what and who he loves. Scout and Easton are MAGNETIC together, their romance full of fire where I MELTED!!!

This line is pure power, passion, and poignancy in words. This line is devotion. This line is LOVE...so much love for Scout and Easton.

I'd sacrifice me to save you.

My soul was SLAYED.

This couple's chemistry is combustible and their adoration for each other endearing. My feelings were bursting inside.

"I want to drown in you tonight, Scout. I want to forget the world, forget what's going to happen tomorrow, and drown in everything about you, starting now."

My heart beat out of my chest.
My pulse pounded.
My soul shattered and soared.
My emotions were on edge.

I FELT all the passion. I FELT all the angst. I FELT all the sorrow. I FELT all of the smolder. I felt all of the sweetness. I FELT all of the words. I FELT EVERYTHING.

Both Scout and Easton have fought the fires of hell and have returned stronger than ever. I LOVED watching this couple grow, LOVED their story that surprised me the whole time reading, and LOVED every part of this PASSIONATE romance. I LOVED being caught by this SOUL-SLAYING story.

"I'll be whatever you need me to be."

"You already are."

The Catch was what I NEEDED IT to be and MORE. I never stopped feeling this story course through me while reading. My heart caught in my chest, tears bleeding so many emotions. The Catch twisted and turned my heart inside out where it SHATTERED and SOARED. I did not expect this baseball romance to SHRED ME, owning every emotion...OWNING ME. The Catch is every baseball thrill...every flutter...every feel...EVERYTHING!!!

This raw, rush of a romance is as touching as it is thrilling, the best baseball book I've read!!! It's no secret why K. Bromberg has been one of my top, go-to authors for years...soon after she published her first words. This author BRINGS HER ALL to everything she creates, and that's why I'm a fan for life. K. Bromberg brought her A-Game out to play in The Catch. I bestow this ACE of a love story SIX SUPER STARS, a top 2017 read!!! The only problem is that I NEED MORE! ❤️

"I know exactly what I want. Funny how my decision has been there all along. I was looking in all the wrong places."

WOW!HOLY FREAKING WOW THIS BOOK!!!Talk about a story that will blow your mind away and this.is.it. I was totally blown away and right fucking now hours later and several re-reads.. Yes! I re-read it 3 fucking times because I want to relive the moment but still it felt like the first time I read this book. The feels I had never waned, instead I fell in love harder and harder each time. Gah! Kristy Bromberg, you are brilliant and yet again you never cease to amaze me! Kudos to you!!! I know for a fact that this conclusion to this duet will turn out fantastic, but I never thought it will end up so much more than this. The feels I have right now if you only knew is unexplainable!!! I could not even convey my emotions into writing because I am still on a high. Although my mind felt contented and satiated, my body is burning with desire, and my heart is so full with all the feels. This.Book.Is.Perfection!

After that cliffy in The Player, I have been anticipating this book since. The moment it hit my reader, my hunger and thirst for this conclusion escalated that I dropped everything so I can finally get my hands on it. Grabby hands...heart eyes...you get the idea. Gahd! First page and I was drawn into the story. It's not just because I missed Easton and Scout but more like the book was already screaming MASTERPIECE. First few pages and you could feel the angst everywhere. My heart was beating so fast, my mind was racing, and my hands couldn't get enough to turn the pages to seek answers and searching for more. It was adrenaline rush in the making I felt like I might had a heart attack. This doesn't stop me though, instead it fueled me to go on my reading basking with all the feels. And this right here is one of the many reasons why I love this author's writing. She will capture your heart and soul with her magical words and lines that the only thing you need to do is feel it, savor it, devour it and enjoy every moment you had with it.

And enjoyed I did. I will not bore you the details or even give you a summary but I will just tell you that Easton and Scout's conclusion is nothing I ever expected. Sure, I love the first book cliffy and all, but this one right here surprised me unexpectedly leaving me with a rollercoaster of emotions. I have never seen it coming. One moment I was gutted, pained, in love, then I was laughing my heart out,to falling in love again with all those dreamy eyes, butterflies in the tummy, you name it, I felt it all. Then suddenly out of nowhere, a twist was thrown into my face toying my emotions. I did not know what to feel anymore that I stopped reading and have nothing else in mind except how brilliant this writing is. How excellent and imaginative Kristy is. There's a reason why it's a duet. There's more to just baseball. There's more to those swoony moments and scorching one's that made us dream of these characters. There's even more to that happily ever after we always sought after every character's journey. There.really.is.MORE! And when I succumb myself into this new feels, another secret was revealed that I could only say, WOW! Hands down to this author! She's just undeniably talented, clear enough with how she wrote this story and surprised me to no end.

Overall, it's crystal clear that I will highly recommend this book. 5 stars is never enough to rate it, 10 stars is acceptable, but if only I could, I would give it more. It's just the perfect conclusion to Easton and Scout's story. It's a wonderful and unforgettable journey that made me cried jears of joy and sadness and made me fall in love with the characters more. They did not just STEAL it, they OWN it. For Easton, it's his story of proving his worth and owning his flaws. For Scout, its granting her father's wishes that in the end lead her to the person she supported and accepted with all her heart, helped see the beauty that lies beneath all those shortcomings, flaws and the imperfections and unfairness of life. Together, in a road with rough patches and curveballs thrown at them, they created their own magic.
I want you. All of you. Your flaws. Your mistakes. Your achievements. Your shortcomings. Your love.”

In the end, this line made sense,
"Clear mind.Full heart."

Oh, God! How I just love this book so much. Everything about it is made to perfection. Another homerun to my heart.

GAH! Every time I pick up a K.Bromberg (aka Kristy Bromberg) novel, I’m reminded WHY I love her stories and writing SO MUCH and this story was no exception. I don’t know the last time I felt this much exhilaration after finishing a novel! Kristy Bromberg completely HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK! Everything, I say EVERYTHING, about this final installment to The Player duet was executed to perfection. Kristy did an extraordinary job of unraveling the many questions that we readers were left with at the end of book 1 and she did so with complete precision. The love story mixed in with all the personal drama, secrets, and suspense was seamless and completely captivating. I was sucked into the story right from the beginning.

I never do this, but first of all, I want to start out by giving kudos to the AMAZING cover and I’m not saying that bc it’s sexy as h-e-double hockey sticks, but because I feel there’s a deeper meaning there. I find the slight differences from book 1 to book 2, hugely significant and somewhat telling. I don’t know if this was intentional (I hope to think it was), but I find it symbolic that Easton is no longer wearing a baseball hat on THE CATCH’s cover. And after reading the novel, I feel it is FLAWLESSLY fitting! Easton steps out from behind his baseball persona in a sense, in THE CATCH.

At the end of THE PLAYER, Scout and Easton got to a point where they both finally gave into the possibility of a future together, but then we’re left with a cliffy that rocks that possibility. Now, in THE CATCH, we jump right back in where the cliffhanger left us and with that cliffhanger brings discord and doubts. Lifelong insecurities and fears come into play that they will both have to overcome both personally and as a couple. Easton especially is hit with curveball after curveball throughout the novel, which has him questioning everything and everyone. “My world’s been turned upside down by first a dirty play and now what looks like a dirty deal.” –Easton. Scout feels like time is slipping between her fingers and she has no way to stop it. She is finally realizing, that in the end, she’s the one that will need to live with her decisions. “A daughter’s duty versus a woman’s wants.” –Scout. Both characters have to navigate these trails in life and overcome them. Only through the help and support of each other can they do so, but when old doubts and new obstacles keep pushing their way through, how will they make it without breaking?

THE CATCH was about so many relatable things. Overcoming your fears. Realizing what you planned for your future may not be what you get (or want any more for that matter) and that’s ok. You’re going to be ok! Allowing yourself the ability to love and be loved. Finding the magic again. Owning up to your downfalls and not running from them. Taking time to “have a day”. Oh the list goes on and on! I loved the tremendous growth we see from both Scout and Easton from THE PLAYER to THE CATCH...it’s astronomical. They both truly come into their own in this book. They both in a sense step out from behind their father’s shadows and become their true selves. It was awe-inspiring to read and beautifully written. I just love how Kristy brings something real into the story. Something that people can relate to. Alcoholism, parent/child relationship struggles, sexism, human frailty, pain of loss, insecurities, love. All things that people can relate to one way or another, whether it’s been personal or through others. This book will resonate with you one way or another.

Scout and Easton’s story surpassed ALL of my hopes and dreams. I savored EVERY SENTENCE, EVERY PAGE, and EVERY CHAPTER of this novel. And it’s been several days since I finished reading and I can NOT get this book off my mind. I have literally not picked up another novel since. I was left in happy tears with a giddy smile on my face at the end. In the end, all I feel is pure contentment and complete bliss after finishing this duet. It was pure magic. I couldn’t have asked for this book to go any other way than how Kristy imagined it and wrote it. This duet is my new top fav of hers! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! This book (and duet) will leave you reeling for days!

5 +++ Stars!

Well, can the follow up be just as good if not better than the first? The answer is YES! The Catch picks up right where The Player ended and after I picked my jaw up off the floor, I was able to dive in and enjoy all things Easton. If you waited to read because this was a duet, go now. One click and take the next two days off.

#imgoingeast

Not wanting to ruin anything, I will keep this short and sweet. Kristy did a phenomenal job with this duet. Both books balanced this surprised filled story in perfect harmony. Going in my excitement was off the charts. Kristy's signature style shines through every page. It's like everything I love about her books all wrapped up into one. The Catch beautifully concluded the story of Easton and Scout. The flow, the storyline, the deeper look at secondary characters, all lead to a solid five star read. With a World Series of book endings, The Catch is a summer must read.

The Catch is a breathtakingly brilliant and surprisingly sensational conclusion to this stunning masterpiece! Just when you think you know where the story is going, it drops the floor out from under your very feet and steals the breath from your lungs as it twists and tilts the world around you to create a whole new reality colored with more surprises then you could ever imagine. This story will show you that you can take one more life-upending shock, one more haunting revelation, and one more soul crushing truth then you thought possible and still manage to walk around and survive. When you need some bone deep courage and the knowledge that the human spirit can survive past deep pain, crushing lies, and twisted surprises from fate, all you have to do is pull this story from your shelf. Let its words caress your ragged soul, and breathe deep of its wondrous wisdom as it soothes your weary heart and infuses it with a spectacularly unexplainable and unconditional love.

My heart has been utterly and irrevocably shattered, healed, and then transformed by Scout and Easton. Every step of the way, they have shocked, melted, and awakened every one of my senses. I walked next to them confidently, hesitantly, and brokenly as I watched their incredible journey slowly unfold. They left no area untouched, and everywhere they left their fingerprints I am in awe. This is truly a power couple who understands the power, the meaning, and the purpose of learning how to love another and loving them well. Not much can top this magnificent love story that braves every part of life to come out triumphant, remembered, and cherished.

K. Bromberg has literally slayed me into a smiling mess of happiness and contentment. She is a master who understands that love shines the brightest only after being tested in the most grueling way that only life can bring. That love then becomes a beacon of what every other love aspires to become. This is the wildfire that we desperately need if we ever hope to warm up our cold, frigid, and hard world. Only then can change truly be possible. For once you change the heart, you change the world.

GAHHHH! You guys, I am positively flaily and nearly buzzing from the afterglow of reading this book. This book that I literally could not put down for more than a few minutes at a time. This book that held me completely in thrall while Ms. Bromberg masterfully and cleverly unspun all the webs she’d woven for us in The Player. This book that sent my heart on some kind of rollercoaster ride as it pulsed with anticipation and excitement, and then fluttered happily with emotion and sweetness while Scout and Easton settled beautifully into their own love story.

Seriously – what a ride!

The Catch picks up right where The Player let off, so my brain engaged immediately trying to make sense of that cliffhanger on which Ms. Bromberg left me dangling. Things move quickly and rather intensely and my mind was reeling while my heart was thundering and I honestly had no idea what to expect. There are a whole bunch of twists and turns in this book, and I only guessed right on one of the little mysteries – which means that I spent a good portion of the book surprised and nervous and – occasionally – completely overcome with emotion because there are some punches packed in here, but don’t worry – they’re tempered by a whole bunch of ooey gooey feels and the whole thing makes for a perfectly delicious reading experience.

Easton & Scout. GAHD how I loved Easton and Scout. The love story tucked into the middle of all this madness was so perfectly written and satisfying to read. There were moments between them that completely took my breath away. They were such a fantastic couple - sweet and adorable and, of course, just as blistering hot as ever. The foundation they laid for their relationship in The Player payed off in spades in The Catch and my heart was split wide open for them over the entirety of this book. I loved them. I loved that they behaved like grown-ups, facing their problems, communicating with each other, and slowly but surely learning how to intertwine their lives together – even while the world around them spun out of control. It was seriously such a beautiful thing to read.

I had forgotten how gripping K. Bromberg books can be. This was an intense reading experience and SO completely worth the ride! The action, the suspense, the family drama, and the romance – it was all blended so seamlessly, I didn’t feel like any one thing overpowered another thing and I never felt impatient or like anything was too much. It was perfect, honestly. I loved every minute I spent glued to this book and Scout and Easton have certainly left an indelible mark on my heart. ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

There are only a few times in my life that I’ve been speechless. Seriously, not able to cobble together the words to describe my thoughts or feelings. After reading The Catch I am sitting here struggling—yes, struggling—to put words to paper regarding the brilliance that is this book and Kristy Bromberg.

I’ve been a huge fan of Ms. Bromberg since she published Driven way back in 2013, and quite honestly, didn’t know if she’d be able to come up with a more perfectly imperfect couple like Riley and Colton. But, let me tell you Easton and Scout equate and maybe might surpass them in my point of view in their realness, their love, their connection.

I loved both Easton and Scout. Loved their vulnerability—their ability to open their hearts and souls to each other without worry of judgement. Well, except perhaps the bit of a mix up regarding Easton’s role with The Aces. But even then, I loved their ability to express themselves, their wants and needs… their ultimate goals.

But it was not all roses and chocolates for them. They had a lot of different battles they needed to fight—but they fought them better together. I loved that they willingly communicated—there were no games, no pretenses. I loved how they knew when to push each other and when to give some space. Serious relationship goals for many of us.

After devouring The Player, the quick start of The Catch drew me right back into the Easton, Scout, Aces web—err, net if you prefer. Just when I thought I had the storyline figured out, Ms. Bromberg’s words twisted my heart and soul. My heart ached for Easton and Scout at some points. But in the end, I loved every minute I spent in Scout and Easton’s world. I loved their perfectly imperfect romance and I hated to come to the end of their story. ~ Missy, 5 stars

OMG. DEEP BREATHS! After reading the Player I knew that Kristy Bromberg was going to bring her "A" game when bringing us the conclusion to Easton and Scout's story in The Catch. And boy did she bring it! I absolutely loved this novel! It was so compelling and filled with a fantastic couple, sizzling chemistry and an emotional and heartfelt plot that pulled at your heartstrings. I did not want it to end!

The Catch starts off IMMEDIATELY following that crazy and heart pounding WTF ending from The Player. Scout and Easton are left reeling after the unexpected and shocking announcement about Easton's future. As a result they are left to pick up the pieces of their relationship and to question the loyalty of each other, family and friends. But what happens when secrets and lies are brought to the surface? Will Easton and Scout hold on to each other or will they be torn apart?

I loved this story!  You could see and feel Easton and Scout's deep and genuine connection for each other and despite all the earth shattering revelations and discoveries, saw that they were it for each other. They were each other's homebase and sanctuary. I especially loved that the author showed us that both Scout and Easton,  for the first time in their lives, could be safe with one another with their secrets and vulnerabilties. They were such an amazing couple that will stay with me for a long time! Bravo! 4 Stars! ~Ratula

If you have read previous books written by Kristy then you will already be aware of how consuming reading her stories can be. This duet series definitely packs a punch and is right up there in my favourites of 2017.

So just to recap, at the end of The Player Easton and Scout are definitely falling for each other, he is well on the road to recovery and hopefully his place back on the team and she is hoping to secure a permanent contract but then it ended with a big cliffhanger and I was like WTF?!

This book picks up exactly where the last book ended. And OMG I could not stop reading, seriously, this was fast paced, exciting and I inhaled every word, every sentence, every chapter.

We get a lot more of Easton’s back story, exploring more about his relationship with his mother and his difficult relationship with his father. His love and passion for the game of baseball is the cornerstone of his life and he cannot imagine his life without it. Sometimes though, things are not as they seem. There are people with hidden agendas playing puppet master with his life and he feels like things are out of his control.

Scout is still on a mission to secure a permanent contract with the Aces whilst dealing with the reality of her father’s ailing health. She is Easton’s number one fan and even though he pushes her away at times, she pushes pack even harder. She loves so fiercely and you do not want to cross paths with a woman defending her man!

‘Just when I felt like everything was falling apart, I’m beginning to wonder if maybe they were finally falling into place.’

It is important for Easton to surround himself with people he can trust and there are several moments in this story when that trust is breached, with shocking revelations for him. He finds himself opening up more and more to Scout, she is the one person he can count on to just be there, unconditionally. She is also the person he takes his frustrations out on but she is tough enough to handle his mood swings and how he copes with his personal struggles.

‘I let him take what he needs from me. Pleasure. Satisfaction. A claim. A tether to his life here to reassure himself he has a place to come back to. A home. Something of permanence.’

Easton does a lot of soul searching in this story too, being with Scout has changed his perspective on life, for the better too. I just love the passion between Easton and Scout, whether they are arguing or making love they just have this incredible connection.

There are a couple of HUGE bombshells dropped in this book and I, who can always guess them, was completely gobsmacked! I had no idea they were even coming. Well played Kristy!

This style of writing is unique to Kristy Bromberg, she writes fantastic male characters with passion and vulnerability. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you will read just a few chapters at a time because once you get started you won’t be able to stop!

“There will come a day, son, when someone will love the parts of you that no one else knows how to love. That’s when you know they’re the one for you.”

5 'Magic Love' Stars!
ARC provided by the author via Ink Slinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

I've been impatiently waiting for The Catch since I finished reading the last word in The Player. After that cliffhanger I was definitely expecting lots of dramatic moments (with, of course, a couple with off-the-charts chemistry) and Kristy delivered that and so much more!

The Catch is the second and final installment in The Player duet so guys if you haven't read the first book, do it before starting this bad boy! This love story continues where it was left off and you cannot even imagine everything that is coming as consequences of how The Player ended.

He fought for me. To gain my trust. To make me want more with him. To make me see not everyone leaves. To ensure I fell in love with him.
And now it’s my turn to earn that back from him.

Easton and Scout's relationship is challenged in every way, that is for sure! These two have to overcome many obstacles to be together and that is what makes The Catch an even better reading experience than The Player. All the angst, drama, mystery and, of course, those wonderful characters that are just so freaking good in this novel!

“I want to drown in you tonight, Scout. I want to forget the world, forget what’s going to happen tomorrow, and drown in everything about you, starting now.”

Obviously, leaving the dramatic scenes aside, Easton and Scout continue being a couple with smoking hot chemistry. K. Bromberg's couples are so easy to fall in love with! These two gave me all the feels (including the panty-melting kind of feels! lol) with they love they feel for each other. And it all comes together beautifully at the end (I adored the ending SO hard!).

God, I love this woman and her rose-colored glasses.
Even at my worst, she still sees the best in me.

Therefore, my rating for The Catch is 5 STARS because it was everything I expected and so much more! Easton and Scout are great characters on their own but together are just such an explosive couple. This woman's stories just suck you in, man! This was a fantastic conclusion to this outstanding duet. So I definitely recommend reading this brilliant duet because K. Bromberg, as always, did not disappoint!

➦I have a confession to make. I haven't actually read a single book by K. Bromberg that didn't reduce me to tears at the end. It happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

➦I just double checked, it's true, it's true. And this book right here is pretty angsty all the way through but I really wasn't prepared to kind of sort of bawl my eyes out at the end. They were happy(ish) tears too. K. Bromberg just knows how to pull on people's heartstrings, I tell ya!

➦Guess I'll be prepared for next time :) Anywaaaaays, what can I say! I loved this conclusion to the duet. What I loved the most was that it wasn't just a love story but it was also a story of a baseball player and the struggles he had to face/overcome. I guess we see it a lot in sports romances - how does a man choose between a sport he loves and having a family? Can he have both?

➦I actually didn't find this second book in the duet as steamy as the first, it was definitely angstier and focused on a lot of other things. I still loved these two main characters together and, while the push and pull was a bit frustrating at times, it also made their relationship feel real to me. Definitely recommend to those who love sports romances and somewhat emotional reads!

The conclusion to Easton and Scout's story is not the expected.
They are tested.
They are forced to look deep within themselves and mature.
They are forced to face the unexpected and the known.

This book is full of twists and turns but more than anything, it will make you feel. Not just happiness or sadness or that butterflies in your tummy feeling . . . it will make you feel the whole gamut of emotions.

The Catch is about Family. Relationships. Selflessness. Selfishness. Strength. Weakness. Resolve. Perseverance. Acceptance.
And Love.
Unconditional Love.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did writing it. It will tug on your heartstrings in so many ways but your heart will no doubt be full when you finish the last page.

Easton’s life as he knew it is up in the air. At the end of THE PLAYER it looked like Scout made a choice to betray Easton in order to come through with her promise to her dying father to get a contract with the Austin Aces as their permanent PT. Things aren’t always what they seem. Scout happened to come across the addendum to Easton’s contract and knew that one word from her would either make or break his career. She chose to lie in order to save Easton’s career in Pro Baseball and to also protect his family.

At first, Easton only sees Scout’s actions as the worst form of betrayal but ultimately, the truth always comes out and then the two are back on track and falling deeper in love with each other. They face some challenges while having to live in separate cities and also some unexpected family drama but through it all, their love only continued to strengthen.

So let me tell you a story (not about this book). I read on the treadmill. This is how I get my reading time in. I run and read. I don't advise this with The Catch. At all. I probably cried for 50% of this book, and not because it was emotional and angsty--although there is some angst (DO NOT let that deter you)--but because it was emotional and heartfelt, and ALL THE GODDAMN FEELS. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but K. Bromberg is a master of her craft. And if I haven't said this before, K. BROMBERG IS A MASTER OF HER CRAFT.

I'm not even sorry about the shouty caps, that's how much I mean that.

This book was beautiful, compelling, emotional, intense, heart wrenching, sexy, sweet and poignant.

It touches on issues that are personal to me in a way that is incredibly sensitive and well thought out and plotted.

I have a book hangover.

I can't stop thinking about this story.

Do yourself a favour and start with The Player. You won't regret it. Bring tissues. And a fan. You'll need both.

I love you.”
And right there- three simple fucking words and I'm a dead man. A total goner to this woman who is a mess of contradictions and who unexpectedly stole my heart along the way.

The much anticipated conclusion to The Player duet is finally here and boy was it a doozy. If possible, I actually enjoyed this book even more than the first one. Where the first book was more of a slower pace, this one was one quick paced twist after another.
The crowd roars in my heaven above and echoes down to the hell I'm currently in.

The Catch picks up immediately where The Player left off; the aftermath of Scout's decision and Easton's inevitable trade. Secrets are revealed, lies are unearthed, and Easton and Scout's love truly tested and put to the limits.

As much as I loved Easton in the first book, I have to admit there were parts where I really wanted to slap him in this one. But I also hurt for him and everything he goes through. You understand why he lashes out the way he does and pushes everyone away. Where he went after Scout with singleminded intent int he first book, I loved watching Scout finally fight for him in this one. I loved that she didn't give up when things got hard and Easton gave her every reason. She knew his heart, knew he was hurting, and she wanted to be there for him.
And I do the only thing I've ever been able to do when it comes to Easton. I acquiesce. I give him everything I have. Every piece of me. Every part of my heart.

You really get to see the soft parts of Scout come out in this story; which just endeared her to me all the more. And as for Easton? My poor broken Easton. I couldn't help but fall for him even harder after everything he goes through here. My heart broke for him. I wanted to heal him almost as much as Scout did. And while you get more of his hard edges here, you still get the soft side that first fell for Scout in the very beginning, too.
I want to drown in you tonight, Scout. I want to forget the world, forget what's going to happen tomorrow, and drown in everything about you, starting now.”

K. Bromberg doesn't leave one loose end with this story. You get the good, the bad, the ugly, and the mind-blowing. Some things I expected, some things came entirely out of left field and blew me away.
And as for the ending? One of the most satisfying conclusions I could have ever imagined. If you haven't read this duet yet, I highly recommend picking it up. Easton Wylder is one man that you need to meet.

5 'Clear Mind, Full Heart' Stars

What a fantastic, emotional and steaming HOT, roller coaster ride full of twists and turns!
Just when I thought K. Bromberg had shown us her best with The Player, here she goes blowing that up, and reaching the top of writing awesomeness with this conclusion of Easton and Scout's story!

The Catch brings us exactly to the point where The Player left of, and one major clusterfuck of a situation. No, I will not reveal anything about it, given this is a completely SPOILER FREE review (which believe me, it’s hard like hell), but I’ll just say these two are put through the ringer and their relationship put to the test on more then one occasion.

I can blame her all I want, but I did this. I knew some day it would happen. That my secret would ruin something I loved.

About how I blamed her because it was so much easier than telling her the truth.

I loved how much Scout’s character develop and grew in this installment. Yes, I still loved Easton – best book boyfriend material right here, even with his issues – , but these woman showed an incredible transition and confident in their love and Easton himself.

He fought for me. To gain my trust. To make me want more with him. To make me see not everyone leaves. To ensure I fell in love with him.
And now it’s my turn to earn that back from him.

Scout truly was fantastic and showed unbelievable strength and unquestionable love, not only for Easton, but for all her loved ones. Easton was her focus point though, and how could it not?! That man… Sigh…

He kisses me with a passion I’ve never felt before. It’s soft and sweet but there’s so much more to it.
It’s a hello.
It’s a goodbye.
It’s an apology.
It’s a declaration.
And I do the only thing I’ve ever been able to do when it comes to Easton. I acquiesce. I give him everything I have. Every piece of me. Every part of my heart.
(…)
It’s like in this sudden madness, I’ve found calm.
I’ve found him.

What did I say? Swoon… Even with all the curveballs thrown his way Easton’s love and devotion for Scout always spoke louder, and I adored how Ms. Bromberg managed to create such incredible plot, truly full of twist and turns, without resorting to the very worn out and easily aggravating artifices of OW and OM drama. Major points, in my opinion, for the production of absolutely in depth characters and storyline, where loyalty was undoubtedly unwavering! Utterly brilliant! Easton and Scout are each other’s rock and lifeline.

“I want to drown in you tonight, Scout. I want to forget the world, forget what’s going to happen tomorrow, and drown in everything about you, starting now.”

While on The Player, we have an introduction to the characters and their lives, as well as the blossoming of their relationship, and love in a slow paced story, on The Catch we have their love, and each other’s strength as base for a fast paced, full steam ahead – in more ways then one, lol – tale, full of challenges and with an incredible dynamic with one constant no matter what: Scout and Easton, the team.

“I love you.”
And right there—three simple fucking words and I’m a dead man. A total goner to this woman who is a mess of contradictions and who unexpectedly stole my heart along the way.

Without revealing to much, my heart ached for these two, but specially Easton, and I think that is one of the things that made me love him even more. Even with all the adversities, and sometimes wanting to smack him upside the head – come on, we all know men can be an ass sometimes – , there was this moments, where he showed his fragile heart and his love for Scout shone so bright, and the most swoon worthy of ways, that is no wonder way that girl was such a goner.

I’ve never met anyone like you, Scout. You challenge me. You make me laugh. You encourage me. But more than anything you get me.

The duet is, in reality, a story of love in all its forms and shapes, where family has an huge roll, and we can see it clearly but these incredible words of wisdom, each of their parents transmitted to them. First, Easton’s mother to him, and them Scout’s father to his daughter.

“There will come a day, son, when someone will love the parts of you that no one else knows how to love. That’s when you know they’re the one for you.”

“Clear mind. Full heart, Scouty-girl. Never forget that.”
“Never.”

Though something tells me they had reached their same conclusion on their own. And to say Easton and Scout connected perfectly, and truly belonged together in every way, is an understatement. We had every single emotion on this book, from hilarious funny – omg, that Romeu scene – to deeply emotional, and heartfelt, passing through some of the sexiest, smoking hot sex scenes. Ok, hot is not big enough word. These two were SCORCHING!

She yelps and jumps into my arms. Legs around my waist. Kiss on my lips. God, this woman is going to be my welcome undoing.

It was utterly and undoubtedly the PERFECT closure for the duet, and that beautiful and heartwarming Epilogue proves it. Well, it seems I now have a new fav by the author, and can’t wait to know what she will give us next!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

“I promised him I would, Scout. I want all of those things for you. The flowers in your hair, the mud on your toes, the stubbornness that puts me in my place, the sweet, the sexy, and everything in between. The first time we went to my place, you stuck a bookmark in my heart and then you ran away. And I think it’s the perfect time to move to the next chapter and start a life together. I love you, Scout Dalton. I love the parts of you no one else knew how to love just as you do me.”

Title: The Catch
Series: The Player #2
Author: K. Bromberg
Release date: June 29, 2017
Cliffhanger: No
HEA

The Catch resumes the series right where the cliffhanger left off in The Player . Scout is stuck in an impossible position-torn between family obligation and an the man who means everything to her. Easton's career, her job security, and her father's lifelong dream all hang in the balance with one choice. With no time to debate or weigh the pros and cons, she did what she thought was best for everyone involved. And everything around her promptly started to crumble.

After finally healing from his injury, Easton was eager to step back into the game he loved so much. But nothing went at all as he had anticipated and he was left feeling lost, angry, and betrayed. He had no idea who he could trust, and for a while there, I wasn't sure myself. There was a mysterious quality to this book that I really enjoyed. Always left guessing over characters' intentions and whether they were hiding something. And make no mistake, there were plenty of secrets to be found. One a little too predictable, and others took me by surprise.

I did get frustrated with Easton in this installment. While a lot of his anger and frustration was completely warranted, I didn't particularly like that he was using Scout as his personal whipping boy. He came off as sulky and self-centered, not caring at all about what she was going through. He said some mean and nasty things to her, even after realizing that she had always only had his best interests at heart. When she put her own important life goals on the line in order to do what she thought was best for him. Luckily, he snapped out of his selfish behavior, and got his priorities straight.

“I love you.” And right there— three simple fucking words and I’m a dead man. A total goner to this woman who is a mess of contradictions and who unexpectedly stole my heart along the way.

Scout was a great heroine. Her loyalty to her father, and her determination to make his dreams a reality were really touching. She was willing to do whatever it took for him to be happy and at peace, even at the expense of her own happiness. But she also knew how to stand her ground against him, and speak her mind when he was being unfair to her. I also loved seeing how supportive she was of Easton when a certain truth came out about him that he had never trusted with anyone else. When that one secret was revealed, it was kind of like a key puzzle piece clicking into place. Several elements of the plot that had been foreshadowed very subtly became crystal clear. And it was really very heartbreaking what he had been dealing with for so long, all alone.

“I want to drown in you tonight, Scout. I want to forget the world, forget what’s going to happen tomorrow, and drown in everything about you, starting now.

The hero's treatment of the heroine wasn't my favorite and it wasn't just one isolated incident. So that did alter my rating because it started to grate on my nerves that he was treating her so unfairly. After she put everything she'd been working towards for so long on the line for him. I also think that I could have done without

I can't get into the plot too much more, because of the twists involved. But overall, it was a decent conclusion to the duet. This couple had some really sweet and steamy moments, and I will say, there was never a dull moment. They had so much opposition against them, but they weathered everything together and came out the other end much stronger.

This duet deserves the World Series championship title! Oh. My. Heart!! It could not be fuller than this. It's exploding with so much love for Scout and Easton. For this duet. For this entire tale. For all the ups and downs these two faced full-on. For all the challenges and bumps in the road they tackled and were able to survive together. I even finished reading this choked up, with tears in my eyes. It was that moving. This was everything and so much more than I could've asked for in the conclusion of Scout and Easton's story. The Catch was truly the definition of unputdownable. I got so lost in it all and I couldn't have loved it more.

This started exactly where The Player (book one) ended and from there, the blows just never stopped coming. These two struggled and went through so much, yet I wouldn't change a thing. I think it's what made that special bond and foundation between them deeper and stronger. One that will, without a doubt, make anybody envious of. Especially with the way that they just got each other, understood one another's limits and needs without even uttering a single word. It still slays me.

Easton Wylder was definitely the star player of this whole adventure. The one with whom the spotlight shone the brightest. There were times his passion was so intense and palpable that I even got goosebumps. You'd feel deep in your bones just how dedicated he is to what or who he loves. How baseball truly is his life. Or how when something goes wrong, you'll feel just as devastated and shattered as he was. And unsurprisingly, he's as swoony and dreamy as ever. If not more. The things he said, those little things he did for Scout, brought me to my knees. Thinking about it, he probably shouldn't have been called "the player". Better yet, I think "the slayer" might've been more appropriate. For me anyway. Hah!

Even though Scout Dalton took a bit of the backseat here, I still loved her character, regardless. Her optimism in life was so infectious, it even made me a tad jealous. She'll make you wish you faced every day the same way she does and you'll want to wear her rose-colored glasses. Plus, she really is Easton's perfect match. She just balances everything about him to a T. She became his north star, his rock, his life. And if that's still not enough to win you over, her wits and her big marshmallow heart will most definitely do.

The Catch was packed with so much emotion, and twists and turns that it's not only a story of Easton and Scout anymore—it's a full winding journey that's nothing short of electric, powerful, sexy and memorable. I was taken to one helluva ride and I freaking loved every swerve, every jolt, every second of it. I even hate myself for forgetting how marvelous and magical K. Bromberg writes a book. How much feels she's able to weave into a tale that's already remarkable as it is. The onslaught of emotions will just keep on barreling through you the whole time that I was a wreck by the end of it all.

Scout has this motto in life, "clear mind, full heart", and that couldn't perfectly describe the state I'm in more after finishing this book. Because I indeed have one helluva full heart right now, especially with that HEA. And maybe even long after or every time I remember Scout and Easton's story... I highly recommend this duet to every single person who loves to read and appreciates a monumental love story. The Player Duet is certainly one of my top reads this year. Or maybe EVER.

It's LIVE! http://bit.ly/2sVpvZb

Holy. Angsty. Wow!! K. Bromberg gave me what I was looking for in the conclusion of The Player duet. There was turmoil, despair, betrayal, nostalgia, comraderie and love IN SPADES!

THE CATCH starts right where we left off in The Player... Scout has to choose whether to honor her father's last wish or to protect the man who has come to mean EVERYTHING to her. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, she makes the best decision she can and oh how the repercussions were felt.

I really liked that, for the most part, Easton and Scout were a united front. However, I wasn't a fan of Easton's treatment of Scout when things didn't go his way. Or when the going got tough. Not cool, bro. Although I understood where he was coming from, I was looking forward to him getting out of his own way.

I was also hoping for more depth to Santiago's character. He played a significant role in this drama, most notably causing the injury to Easton's shoulder in the first place. I thought he would get added definition and dimension in this conclusion. He didn't. He was still the villain and although we do learn a bit more about him, nothing we learn salvages his reputation or redeems him. Sad.

Overall, I enjoyed how wholesome this story turned out to be, which is weird considering the characters were thrown loop after loop and so many secrets and nefarious deeds were being clung to. It's just that there was so much unexpected warmth between Easton and Scout, which had nothing to do with the amazing steam that existed there as well ;) They stood strong and ended that way and their epilogue was just icing on the cake. I'm thrilled with where the author has left them!

I am still swooning and giggling like a love struck teenager even after i am done with the book. This was an amazing conclusion to the duology...absolutely perfect😍😍😍😍😍😍. This review might have spoilers in it...pls tread carefully :)

Hero: i cant get over hw much i love him honestly....he is soo swoonworthy...soo awesome, soo everything!! Even when his back was aganist the wall and he was at his worst he still didnt forget who was waiting on him taking care of him, he was always loving and respectful, he caught himself whenever he realised he was going to far and did all the right things to make up for it. This particular book showed some major curves balls being thrown at him from every corner but even when he was down he didnt take what he had for granted. I loved him for that. His relationship with his father and hw it improved, hw loving he was to his mother, his awesome team mates that were like brothers. He handled things as well as he could in his situation, no extremely rash decisions and i loved that.

“And so you decided to walk here. You could have called, you know?”
“Nope. Not good enough.” He shakes his head a little too hard and then basically giggles when the world around him spins from the alcohol. “I wanted to try and be like one of your romance books, so I decided to come and stare at you up on your balcony.”
“But I don’t have a balcony.” This is too much fun, he’s too much fun, to not give him a hard time.
“Where is your imagination? Pretend, will you?”
“Okay. What am I supposed to pretend other than I’m on a balcony right now?”
“That I look like Fabio.” He flips his pretend long hair with his hand.

Heroine: the best thing you can do for me is to give me a strong female character who loves hard but stands for herself! Scout was exactly that, She doesnt sit back and allow people walk all over her, not her father or the players or even Easton, his dad, noone!!! She gives as good as she gets and states whats on her mind respectfully. Her development in this book was so sweet because here she did most of the fighting for their love, she was patient, a steady light in Easton's life when things were crumbling, she never gave up or allowed him to give up....transitioning from the woman in book one to this was beautiful to see. She was the good kind of stubborn and i loved every bit of what she did and hw she tried to carry everyone's burdens and hw fearlessly she loved Easton and tried to protect him at all costs...she ws like a mama bear!

Because, yes, I love him.
His megawatt smile and loudly sweet gestures. The way he has to have coffee in the morning before he’s even remotely tolerable and how he hates for his food to touch on his plate. The way he loves his mom and respects his dad despite everything they’ve put him through. The way he seems to know exactly what I need, when I need it, even when I don’t know myself
It’s now or never, Scout.
Clear mind.
Open heart.
It’s the only way I can fix this..

The Plot: I love it because life is not easy....it really isnt all roses and sunshine every single minute...it was able to tear open a popular persons life, someone u expect to have it all but actually doesnt when u look at it critically and also that life cant keep being easy sometimes it gets real hard other times its alright and sometimes it jst keeps getting harder and harder like u did something wrong but we can overcome it all thats the most important thing to have in mind to keep believing. That someone's mistake can affect u in a huge way is a way to show that everything we do can affect someone in one way or another and in some cases in a life changing way. I love hw Easton's situations was dealt with, the part Scout played while also fulfilling her own dreams and making her own mark for herself. Sometimes ur happy ending is not one u considered before but the perfect thing for u, what will make u happy in the long run...a better outcome. It was beautiful to see it all come together!

His damn sweet gestures
When I pick it up, all I can do is shake my head at the dozens of Wint O Green Life Savers inside it.
“There’s one Life Saver for every day left until the season ends. Our own little countdown of sorts. Plus I threw a few extra in there in case one of our teams makes it to the playoffs. When you suck on it, think of me.” His chuckle is deep and suggestive. “And finally, where is the one place I stood, looked at you with the stadium lights in your hair and knew there was no turning back when it came to you?” I make a face at the phone. “Don’t roll your eyes, Kitty. Think about when you stood there and got me like no one else ever had.”

I didn’t go to bed last night, Scout. I sat and watched you sleep and wondered how this was going to work out. How with two crazy schedules and being in different cities was going to work for us . . . But it’s going to. So take this key. Use it. Don’t use it. But know it’s there for you. The closet is half-empty for you. The drawers. The everything. And while you’re hyperventilating, know this . . . I’ve never met anyone like you, Scout. You challenge me.You make me laugh. You encourage me. But more than anything you get me. So when you get scared, when you wonder how any of this is going to work, remember that I left you a key because I plan on coming home to you. Did you hear that? I plan on coming home . . .”

I was totally satistfied with how everything panned out

“Your dad told me to take care of his little girl. To let her be stubborn but know how to bend her will. To let her be girly but make sure she sticks her toes in the mud every once in a while. To let her run through a field with flowers in her hair with as much passion as she applies to healing her patients. And most important, to let her love with a clear mind and a full heart.”

The Epilogue: So so beautiful...my heart couldnt take it...swoon!!!!

“Thank you,” he whispers just above the noise of the crowd. “It’s because of you, Scout. Because of you I don’t regret a single thing.”
He kisses me as if I’m the only person in the world.
He kisses me with a clear mind and a full heart.

Rushing to get more of this author's books...i would love to see more of her work because she really impressed me with this one.

I really enjoyed this series, & love me some Easton Wylder! This man is delicious & has so much love to give. This was a super sexy sports romance full of emotion that will give you all the feels.

-The way he looks at me- like he can see into my soul- that unnerves me and invigorates me in ways I never knew possible.

It's official!! This duet is a grand slam! K. Bromberg has now been elevated to my list of go-to authors. I was beyond entertained! The Catch packs an emotional punch that came out of nowhere.

 photo IMG_0068.jpg

Here's the breakdown: Following the huge shock at the end of book 1, Easton and Scout are left adrift. He's struggling with the events that occurred and she struggles with his response to her.

My thoughts: My heart broke, I cried, I laughed, and I most certainly swooned. Easton's story in the finale is so emotional. It's the same with Scout, but the vulnerable alpha is like my kryptonite.

This duet resonated with me on several levels. Again, it's emotional and sexy, but it was down-right heart-wrenching in place. It's real life personified. Yes, it's entertaining, but it's more than that. It reads like an experience. I felt like I went through all the ups and downs with Easton and Scout. Relatable, that's the word. Particularly the scenes between Easton and Scout.

 photo IMG_0066.jpg

I'm so invested in these characters. It feels like I just walked away from two of my good friends.

Kudos to K. Bromberg for knocking another one out of the park! She totally got me with the powerful dedication in book 1 and backed it up with this beautiful finale! The only slight detraction I have with this one was the angst. I'm certainly not opposed to it, but it was more than I anticipated.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Player Duet and highly recommend it.

After the heart dropping conclusion in “The Player”, the only thing that was on my mind was getting some much awaited answers. For months I kept wondering how this story is going to play out an even though in the back of my mind I was sure everyone was going to get their own happily ever after, I was still a nervous wreck! If there was any couple that deserved happiness, it was these two. But you know what they say: The road to happiness isn’t paved with sunshine and roses.

“Everyone Deserves Some Pretty In their life regardless of the scars they bear.”

Now realizing the impact that Scout has made on his career, Easton is having a difficult time adjusting to everything. He’s frustrated, angry, but underneath it all, there’s this this hurt that no matter how much anyone tries to justify it, it doesn’t make a difference to him. One minute he had everything a guy could ever ask for with a career he loves and his girl by his side. But now? His future is in question and the one thing that was a constant in his life, is looking like a betrayal.

Scout has always had two loves in her life. Her father and baseball. Loving them was easy and uncomplicated. But two loves quickly turned into three when she met the infamous Easton Wylder and from that moment on, love for her was beautiful and passionate with a soul crushing need that she never wanted to let go of. Loving a man like Easton wasn’t easy but for every one bad moment, there were a million other beautiful ones and when you have something like that, you fight for it with everything you have. Like I’ve just said before , loving a man like Easton isn’t easy but let me tell you, it is worth it.

I’m going to be honest and say that I loved this one more than the first book! I wanted more passion in book one and I damn sure got it in this. I wanted to feel more when it came to Easton and his relationship with his family members and in certain hearts my heart damn near broke! There was heartache, passion, love, redemption, and this feeling of utter joy because you knew that love conquered all.

I loved the fact that Scout didn’t give up on Easton and she never wavered in her decision to stick by him. I also really liked that Easton’s family dynamic was addressed and we got more insight into his relationship with his parents. This was the perfect conclusion to Scout and Easton’s story so trust me when I say that one click is a must!!

Do we all remember what happened at the end of book #1?
Scout was about to tell the team that Easton was ready to play again and then bam! Easton gets a call that he's been traded!!! WTH????
☺☺☺
And now in book #2 it seems that it wasn't Scout's fault and nobody else's either! It's the fault of the secret Easton's been keeping forever.
And now that he's playing a few hours away in Dallas, Scout and Easton try everything to keep their young love alive!
But of course there are still secrets and mysteries left to uncover and family problems and ugh... it will take a while to get to that Happily Ever After ... if we'll get there at all!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH SCOUT & EASTON?
WILL WE FINALLY GET OUR HEA?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

I Loved it!!!

Finally back with Scout and Easton!
The end of book #1 was soooo grrrr!!!! ☺
And even though I suffer from Booksalzheimers, I remembered exactly how the last book ended! And that's why I was a bit confused why I was so confused with the beginning of book #2. It was all so very weird ... those first few chapters?! I didn't know who did what and who was at fault for what the hell happened? And what happened anyway???
Papers were signed and Easton is now playing for a different team!?

I loved the story - I loved that we don't have 2 main characters who are fighting all through the book with the possibility of a HEA towards the end. Nope, we're only fighting a tiny little bit at the beginning and then we'll try to make this relationship work and we also try to make sense of everything that happened .... not an easy task!

I still don't love baseball and I never will. And we - again - have way too much baseball in this book! Ugh. Why? I don't get any of the word-games and references ... I wish american authors would release an alternative european edition of their baseball books - with a football player or a rockstar. ☺

And those two secrets that weren't really secrets, but the reader was made to think that they were supposed to be secrets. You know what I mean? Probably not. I know I'm weird! ☺
They should've been a secret for a bit longer - no - not longer, but better hidden! The reader immediately knows what Easton's secret is and we also know what the deal with Santiago is. It should've been a better kept secret somehow.

BUT - I really loved Easton and Scout! It was an amazing lovestory!
With lots of sexy times, mysterious moments, exciting and frustrating moments, sad & moving moments. Great sports romance!

THE CATCH was the perfect finale in this adorable Baseball Romance Duet! Lots of sweet, romantic, sexy, exciting & moving moments! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Easton Wylder - this one is MINE!!! ☺

"The Catch" is the second book in the "Easton and Scout" Saga, as I called it. I read "The Player" and unfortunately I wasn't very enraptured by the story, maybe because I was not in the mood back then, or just because nothing felt new to me. Maybe after reading so many romantic stories nothing surprises you anymore and you just want something out of the ordinary to click for you.

This book didn't...:( "The Player" ended in a totally dazzling cliffhanger and everybody was super socked to see Scout literally betray Easton this way. But no, not everything is what it seems and of course our heroine will explain everything throughout the plot, changing our perspective of the situation and making us understand so many things.

If "The Player" was all about Scout, about her way of letting Easton in and coping with her feelings for him, "The Catch" is 100% Easton in my opinion. Practically the roles are reversed. If in the first book Easton fought for Scout, now is the other way around. I enjoyed seeing another side of the characters which was not explored and I think K. did a perfect job in going full circle with them, in getting all the angles right.

Easton's life changed 180º after his accident and beginning with it, a lot happened with him: he met Scout and fell in love, but also experienced a lot of drama in his career. Now, he will have a lot to deal with. A big secret will be revealed, a true struggle for him and he will have to make a choice: to continue living this way or change something and move along. Of course Scout will be there for him, supporting every step of the way, guiding him, being his light. She will have her own demons to slay as well. Between her father, Easton and her job, she will have to figure out where her loyalty lies and take decisions with her heart, being another person from the first book.

I loved the way the characters evolved and nurtured something so valuable as their love for each other. It was good seeing them as a couple, with ups and downs and constantly hanging to one another for help and shelter. They used their love as a healing mechanism and I believe they had a lot to learn from one another.

Although the love story was good and enjoyable, the plot was not again something that made me be 100% aware and alert, being kind of boring and not going anywhere sometimes. I think that a combination of "The Player" and " The Catch" would have been a terrific idea, I was not very convinced that 2 books was a good idea for the story line. Maybe something more packed and combined would have worked better.

I think it's even better than the 1st book. Packed with a lot of drama and many surprises, but still sweet, sexy and very emotional. Loved Easton and Scout. I recommend for all sport romance fans.

4 Sweet Stars

This second book starts right after the events where the previous one ended. Secrets are out, decisions were made and now Easton and Scout not only have a public battle ahead of them, but their private lives aren’t getting any easier as well.
With Easton’s deadline getting closer and Scouts credibility on the line, their next move and whether they fight together will definitely affect their future and their careers.

After the ending on the previous book I was very curious on how would the author wrap this story. I have to say that I really liked the development of the story, the growth of the characters and I definitely loved the ending. It was a little predicable at times, but nothing you wouldn’t expect in a sports romance.
If you like steamy romances with sports players and strong heroines this is definitely a good book duet for you.

Rating: 4 Stars
Characters Development: As said in the previous books’ review, Scout was a very likable heroine. She was loyal and extremely dedicated and I loved how supportive she was in this second book. Easton was a very nice hero as well, yes, he had his not so great moments, but I liked how he wasn’t portrayed as a “dirty hot and rich playboy” like usually players are. He was sexy, sweet and somehow possessive and I liked him as well. It was really good to finally see him sharing his battles and loved how they got together to deal with their problems as a couple.

The Catch is a curveball of angst, drama, more angst, raw emotions, passion and even more angst!!! Yes, this book was filled with lots of angst that will play with your heart and emotions but trust me when I tell you K. Bromberg will catch your fall. She will have you frustrated with Easton but in the end, you will be left satisfied with the tough choices they had to make and how they were able to overcome the hardships and secrets that where standing in their way. I honestly don’t want to spoil and give you a summary of what will happen but if you read The Player then this book picks off where it last left off and trust me you will not want to put this book down. This book was more than your typical sports romance as this book highlights the different shades of love. For Easton and Scout, their emotional journey was about about survival, love and trust. It was showcasing and proving to everyone around them that they are a united front that can withstand anything that comes at them. So if you are looking for a romance that was a GRAND SLAM then the Player’s Duet is the book for you.

This is book two in the Player series and we are back to follow the uncertainty of the relationship between professional baseball player Easton Wylder and his physical therapist Scout Dalton, Easton is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him when he gets traded to another team even Scout the woman he's fallen in love with. With their ups & downs, trust issues and the constant pressure on Scout trying to keep both Easton and her dying fathers happy their relationship struggles, especially when long hidden secrets are revealed causing Easton to further question the people around him. K.Bromberg has done it again for me I loved it, the characters are so easy to love and their emotional understanding of each others needs is beautiful. The sex was hot and the story line engaging and enthralling. Brilliant narration by Andie Arndt and Joe Arden. K.Bromberg hits another winner of of the ball park.

"Marry me" whispered Tweebs, staring intently not at the beautiful abs, like pfftttt guys, I'm innocent..... at the dude on the cover.

Cure to ending the dreadful reading slump = contemporary romance novels.

Shout out to the contemporary romance genre for never failing me. Tbh I've never been so appreciative of stumbling across this series. This series honestly made me feel like I was doing crack.

It was that addictive

What's even more addictive? Easton Wylder.

HONESTLY Y'ALL NEED AN EASTON WYLDER IN YOUR LIFE!!

that is all

11/10 recommend this series for anyone who is searching for a fun, addictive plot, witty and steaming dialogue, easy to follow writing and OBVIOUSLY A "WHY CAN'T THIS HAPPEN TO ME????" ROMANCE THAT LEGIT MADE ME RE EVALUATE MY OWN NON EXISTENT LOVE LIFE :((((
