Rate this book
Predators beware!Without a job, Mars Cannon becomes prey to Mrs. Janowski’s newest project. Predator Patrol. Along with four feisty seniors, Mars searches for Internet predators. Hoping she doesn’t run across any, she becomes friends with a young boy. However, as their friendship grows, so does a dangerous problem. Is he really who he says he is?

With no money and no job prospects, Mars finds herself at the door of a notorious biker bar. The surly owner finds her completely unsuitable for the job. Unfortunately, Mars is desperate. She’ll fight for the job even if it means having to stop bar brawls; a skill she has yet to learn.

And where are Brett and Evan? Mars has yet to hear from either of them. The combination of no money, no job, and no man can be brutal enough . . . add a predator, and it’s deadly.

A good, light read

After reading the first book, I decided to try this one. You can know the first one was good since I paid for the second and just ordered the third. Mars is an unemployed events coordinator who, out of desperation, pushes her way into working at biker bar. She has not heard from Brett, but her friend Evan is looking even better than usual. Mrs. Jankowski and the senior crew are searching for sexual predators. And that's just a few things that happen. You will laugh!

Nicolette Pierce has written a cozey mystery murder series balanced beautifully between intimate moments of pleasure with class and the mayhem you can find in most fabulously written mystery cozeys with vibrant, colorful and charming characters clashing with scheming sometimes deadly characters while a budding romance simmers at the side .Acquire " Predator Patrol " book two today so you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have. 😀 Kat

I enjoyed this book much more than the first Mars Cannon book. I got the two of them as a bundle and I'm glad I decided to give the second one a go. The story seemed to flow much better.

Unsavory topic, though luckily did not dwell on it in detail.

Mars Cannon keeps getting herself into the most outrageously dangerous situations in this hilarious follow up to Deadly Dancing. Once again it was so strange how there's so much danger but everyone is so nonchalant about it. I was so confused with Aaron's role in the whole trafficking ring thing. He kept saying he escaped but it wasn't made clear from where and no it wasn't the foster group home, that came afterwards. It was all very confusing.

Two good things about this book: 1) Mars relationship with Evan progresses very nicely and 2) There are significantly less grammatical errors in this book than there were in the first one. Makes for a much better read...

I'm wondering if Ms. Pierce is going to add another book to this series?

This book wasn't very comical but did contain some very cute older lady comedy. I found it odd that Brett hardly had an appearance in the story. Plus more could've been devoted to the story line and less about the bar & people there. Still, I am staying with 4 stars since I actually saw the humor of the older ladies. Also, The book contained several scenes of high drama, a character named Aaron that the author made me love, and it deals with a very important and much overlooked need to eliminate a very horrible crime that occurs in many forms.

Mars has been in a bit of a slump and is flat broke. In order to pass her time, she has let her quirky old neighbor talk her into working with her and several senior citizens in search of internet predators. Mars’s stubbornness has her chasing internet predators as well as trying her hand at being a bartender at a biker bar.

This book was very entertaining and was a quick read (about 176 pages). The love interest issues were rather predictable but the plot was not. It was refreshing to be surprised when reading this type of book.

Waited so long for this second book in the series and it ended way too quickly. Love the colorful characters and humor in all of Nicolette Pierce's books.

The basic subject matter is not one I usually care for in a book, but it only skirted the issue so wasn't hard to read.
