Their Virgin Princess

Rate this book
A broken woman…

Alea Binte al Mussad, Princess of Bezakistan, was abducted from her university, mentally tortured and forced to witness the worst of humanity. She was rescued, but not before fear and her shattered soul made her retreat into herself. Two years later, she’s living behind the palace’s locked gates and the walls she’s built surrounding her heart. Alea is comforted by the joyous family around her, but inside feels so alone—except when she’s with the steady trio of guards who relentlessly keep her safe. And tempt her with a passion she isn’t sure she’ll survive.

Three stalwart warriors determined to claim her…

Dane Mitchell, Cooper Evans, and Landon Nix wanted Alea from the moment they laid eyes on her. Held back by their duty and her fragility, they worship the Princess from afar, determined to claim her if the chance ever comes. When Alea learns that someone may still be hunting her, she plots to escape both danger and her guards’ simmering, overwhelming passion. Dane, Coop, and Lan aren’t about to let her go. When they find themselves in paradise and all boundaries are stripped away, the ice begins to melt around Alea’s heart. But when reality comes crashing in, will she learn to accept love before a killer strikes again?

Princess that lives in a made up country, speaks at least 5 languages, can fly plains and one day, when she marries, she have to take at least 3 husbands :-D. Her husbands to be are super over achievers. Bodyguards by day and good samaritans in their spare time, who vaccinates babies :-D. That's how they roll in Bezakistan :-D. I still can't stop laughing at the fact that author made up a country :-).

The book was funny, but I don't think it was meant to be funny. Sex scenes were just so so, story in between was just silly.

Oh, for fuck's sake...
I didn't like this one...

it was lame, the characters had no credibility and I found their connection lacking on an emotional level, so simply put - "too much ado about nothing"!

and this time not even the sex scenes couldn't have helped to make it sound more believeable...

the highlight of the story was the "revelation" of the actual "villain" (who I, unfortunately, guessed long before its revelation *smug face*) and yet it wasn't enough to make me give a higher rating
*sad smile*

Well this is it.
A book completely outside my comfort zone and I must say it was not too bad for what it was. Smutty ménage read!
The heroes are crazy about the heroine but she has some serious baggage in the form of a kidnapping and drug abuse. She was forced to watch as other where raped and tortured and told she was worthless and forced to take drugs by injections.
She has seen hell and she won't be tied down by anyone so when a group of ex navy seals security men decide they want to not only guard but keep her body and soul.
What she does an kidnapped survivor do when confronted with DOMs that want to tie her up?
Well she runs of course!!!
Makes perfect sense to me here.
What didn't was what happened on the island.

Now, I understand she comes from a place where plural marriages are the norm and acceptable so it's not something she is unfamiliar with.
However, as HOT as some of the sense may have been, I still can't give it more than 3 stars.
Because:
1- people jumped around from place to place and we (the reader) jump from head to head and It was too hard figuring out who was what.
2- the fact that one of the guys are all Doms and add the cocktail of crazy with a princess who doesn't want touched or tied and a Dom who needs to be in control but does it anyways!!
3- the whole crash on a desert island with a butt plug And other sex toys I call bullshit on!
Seriously who even thinks this crap up!?
That just too much to believe.
Not a horrible story and I did Loved Lan and Coop as heroes, but Dane was just an asshat!
That's my take on it.

are the best things that ever happened to mankind ?

Well, picture this: You're stranded on a deserted island.

Luckily, you're not alone ! You happen to have not one,

not even two,

but THREE hot guys.

You know what's even better than three hot guys ? Three special forces guys.

And, hey, it's so hot in here that the guys just have to spend their days half-naked !

Book 4 in the "Masters of Menage" series featuring Princess Alea Binte al Mussad who, if you haven't guessed by the title, is a virgin even after having been abducted and held by sex traffickers 2 years prior to this story's time line. Her security body guards Dane Mitchell, Cooper Evans, and Landon Nix, have protected her from any further attempts to harm or abduct her, but it's a labor of love as they all want, need, desire, and lust for her.
A new threat to Alea brings their Dom side to the forefront and take their relationship to a new level when she tries to run and hide from her fate and them.

Book four is a standalone read but there are numerous parts that bring in characters from the previous installments which is better appreciated if you've read them.

With that being said. This is a mfmm read that is sensual erotic ambrosia in book form. I pretty much knew these characters would be in a relationship as the authors have made numerous references to set this up in prior books of the series. And drove me crazy waiting. Alea's character has been standoffish, demeaning to others, and basically a b*tch. I wasn't sure if it was possible to slant that type of character to redeem her without resorting to the cookie cutter scenarios used so often and repeatedly. The guy lead characters are ex military SEAL so I knew I would lust over them, which I did, but if they settled for Alea without just cause I wouldn't be a happy reader. It did all come together and I can honestly say that I loved the dynamics and play between the main characters. It takes a lot of effort for two authors to blend their styles into a cohesive storyline that isn't fragmented or fights against each other but I just couldn't figure out where any turf lines were as this flowed so naturally without any contradiction. Nice job lady authors.

As to the erotica. It is a mfmm read without any mm scenes. By page 51 I knew I was in for a ride as the cold water/ice cube drink was needed to cool off the heat being generated in this book. The scenes are sensual, seductive, and include enough low intensity BDSM play that rocked. I guess if pressed i would say the BDSM has a sugarkink quality to it. Yummy, delicious, tasty.

The only reason I went for a four instead of five rating is that I felt some critical information facts and story line information were predictable. But I'm not sure if that was because I was lucky or look at twist and turn outcomes so often that I'm getting good at it. I'll leave it to other readers to decid.

Being a princess is not all it’s cracked up to be and no one knows that more than the heroine Alea. After being kidnapped and suffering months of mental and physical torture, Alea is struggling to adapt. Her smiles are forced and day to day life is hard. She’s plagued with nightmares and survivors guilt. While she was physically tortured one thing her captures never did was rape her. They however had no problem doing this to many other women and young girls right in front of Alea, making her torment that much worse. When the threat is found to still be out there, her cousin and Prince assigns personal round the clock security detail for her. Hating the feeling of being smothered, especially by men she wants but whom could never want her, she plans a secret getaway where she can escape and hide in plain sight where no one will know her or have expectations of her. The guys all have feelings for Alea and refuse to risk her safety or let her go. When they show up on the plane Alea is none the wiser or too happy. Luckily for her when the plane is sabotaged and goes down, she finds herself stranded on a deserted island with a few ex special forces who are not only trained to survive in any condition they are also willing to do anything to win Alea’s heart. This was a very fun and cute read. The isolation gives Alea and her men time to bond without any outside interference. It certainly helps they are all trained for any situation and being with them is not too far off from being spoiled at home. Alea goes from being a traumatized Virgin to a strong woman who fully embraces her countries’ belief in multiple husbands. Fun read with a whole lot of loving!!

Alea was captured and put through a terrible ordeal. It's left her emotionally scarred and unable to be close to a man. Her three body guards, Dane, Coop and Lan, have guarded her for two years, and have loved her for that long . If only they could break through her pain. Then when she tris to escape her situation, they sneak aboard the plane, which crashes into the ocean and strands them on a remote island....

I read these kinds of books a lot. With some authors, when the dominant takes over or the woman is made to do something she doesn't want to do, it makes sense and you know that is really what you wanted to happen.in this story, I didn't feel that there was that kind of connection between the three, particularly Dane. I had a hard time with Alea suddenly overcoming all of her fears in a day, and oddly other than one scene were she looks at her scars in the mirror, you never hear about them again. You would think her men would at least comment on them.

He writing was choppy and I didn't feel like the characters where really connecting. I think the story had a lot of potential that wasn't realised. That being said, I have read a lot worse, so it is worth a look if you are interested..

Oh Lexi and Shayla you did it again, you dynamic duo you! ;) I had no doubt you guys would deliver with this story! This was the best one yet! I can't say that, they are all the BEST really. I fell in love with Lan (yep I can call him that, cuz we are tight ;) right away, because he was the sweet and caring one. Then I hopped on the Coop train, because I would really like to party with him, and last but not least Lea's beautiful Dom Dane, awww *swoon* Alea was no damsel in distress, I would love her on my team any day. That princess never gave up and made something beautiful out of her nightmare. Thank you so much for this wonderful story. Never stop creating stories together you two. You have something special, thanks for sharing it with us!

Love these books. They’re exactly what you think they are. They get a 4 star because although these aren’t deep thinker soul remembering hit it out of the park books. They are exaaaaactly what I expected and want at the time.

The audios are really good. I like the voices a lot.

On to the secretary book. I hear there’s a little dabble of Paranormal. So we shall see how that rocks

After her kidnapping and torture, Princess Alea of Bezakistan has withdrawn from the world. Miserable, she's barely able to stand the supportive hugs of her sister-in-law, since most human touch makes her panic with flashbacks. Worse, the person behind the kidnapping is still a mystery and Alea is still in danger. Enter her three, sexy ex-military American bodyguards. They're also her future husbands, since polyandry is a common way of life in Bezakistan. And then her enemy strikes again, leaving Alea and her bodyguards alone on a plane crashing into the ocean.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first Shayla Black novel I read, but I do like this one. Alea has been legitimately traumatized, and while she needs therapy more than sex, the careful way her men approach her is sweet (especially since there are no therapists on their deserted island, and she does eventually talk to a counselor). The love scenes are well written, and the characters are compelling. All in all, it's a very good book.

This book was perfect escapism reading. Have you ever wanted to be a real princess? Have you ever wanted to be stranded on an island paradise? Have you ever wanted to be a princess, stranded on an island paradise with ridiculously hot, protective, and frequently funny men? Yeah, me too.

This book was a super quick, ultra lite read and I enjoyed it immensely. It doesn't have a super intricate plot or a whole lot a mystery, but it was certainly enjoyable. The characters were likable and I especially liked how much the characters' insecurities (and they all have them) and their jealousies played out in the book. In so many menage books, jealousy is skirted over, but in this book, at least for the first half, jealousy is an issue.

Alea, our heroine, is recovering (stagnating) at the beginning of this book after being kidnapped and tortured for months. Alea's psychological and emotional trauma is at the centre of this book and her character, and I am not entirely sure how I feel about that. In particular, the resolution to her trauma seems a little too neat and tidy for me.

A note on the setting is needed. Am I the only one who thinks it is hilarious to create a fictional country in the Middle East, where some women marry multiple men and are known to have kinky sex with them all while enjoying vast amounts of wealth? Whenever I read the work Bezakistan I cracked up just a little.

All in all, a fun, quick read with likable characters and more than a touch of escapist fantasy. Also, a bit of an obsession with balls... just sayin'.

Insanely good!!!! Hooked me at the beginning and stole my sleep because I couldn't put it down. Alea is so strong and stubborn where she could be hidden and weak. Landon just breaks your heart, such a sweetie and so stalwart for Alea. Cooper is happy and upbeat, and god knows you need those people around. Dane is the tortured one of the bunch, which was rather surprising but a nice touch. The way these four connect on everyday events shows how well they know and love each other, and having the boys not sharing until they meet their girl and the girl the one open to the sharing was a refreshing twist - a must read!!

Dear Ms. Black,

Oh my!!! I don't know how you do it, but even when it seems to be raunchy, it isn't.

I'm so in love with all the characters, not only because they're hot, but because you make them human.

Despite they're from different worlds and they're pretty damaged on their very unique way, Dean, Lan, Cooper, and Alea find a way to complement each one.

Even though, multiple marriage, bigamy, or similar, are not well seen in my culture (I'm Mexican), I always thought that the form/manner/way you describe it in your books is really respectful.

I'm totally waiting for your next delivery [due to I'm a total sucker for this series!]

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you, Ms. Black!

Very nice story even though I figured out right away who the bad person was.
I liked all the characters but especially sweet Landon and flirty Cooper.
Loved seeing past characters and am looking forward to the next story in the series.

What I really liked about this book was how plural/menage type relationship/marriages are the norm in Bezakistan. It makes what the men and Alea want normal. It was also fun to see their friends that are already in those types of relationships relate and give advice to them all, while those that yearn for them look at them with slight jealousy because they have what they want.

From the last book I was looking forward to seeing how this grouping would go. Alea was still in the victim mindset from being kidnapped years earlier, while the guys were trying to protect her while fighting their feelings for her. I loved how Dane explained how he fell for her, wanted her all for himself, then realized that was just what the two men he called brothers wanted too, and how the three of them had to change their mindset to potentially get the girl and still keep his brothers.

I was happy to see Landon get great advice from Cole, because there is no way that all three guys could get Alea while hiding so much from them. It was a good and bad thing what happened next. Part of me wanted Alea to get private time to figure things out, yet the other part of me loved that the guys highjacked her plans, who would have known that disaster would let them all work past their issues!

I loved the part that happened next, almost wished that it could have gone on forever, but sadly all good things come to an end. It was too bad that reality had to come crashing down the way it did.

I knew that Alea would try to back off, hated that she tried to do it without the guys knowing. I loved that Dane guessed what she was up to and played the right cards to get what he wanted, even if he had to back Alea in a corner.

I wasn't surprised when we finally learned just who was behind Alea's kidnapping. I had guess almost from the start. But I did like the new guys that were brought in to investigate and with their final actions at the end of this one, I can't wait to read the next.

Really more like a 2.5.

Was it hot? Yes.
Believable? No.

This series is getting worse rather than getting better. I liked Alea and she has certainly been through quite an ordeal. But her men are at times dismissive of that and I didn't appreciate that at all. And i am so over the down on his luck, life has been hard, no one understands my need for control, Dom. That trope can DIAF already.

Was the stranded on the desert island fun? Absolutely. Also very predictable. But I liked that it was a who-dunnit and was pleased with how it got wrapped up in the end.

The fact that this book ends where the next one will probably pick up was fine, except the manner in how it picks up was disturbing based on what the heroine of this book went thru. And now you'll have to read it just to see WTH I'm talking about lol.

I read this out-of-sequence due to a pick-em challenge. Previous characters and events are referenced, but I had no trouble following this story.

Although this is tagged as erotic menage romance, it's actually more of a thriller. The adventures and scary parts were as well written as the sexy bits, and more frequent. Sort of I-Team lite.

The series is set in a country where multiple husbands can legally and publicly share one woman. In each story, the woman is a virgin, and is rescued from some dire situation (I think).

The writing is very good, and the characters are well defined, though somewhat stereotypical. The woman is strong and grows into the menage relationship. There are few sex scenes, and a little light bondage and "command" attitude, though hard to qualify as BDSM.

Boring book
This book bored me while I was reading it, took a while to finish because of that. I liked the first two in this series and then the rest have just been repetitive and formulaic. I think it is a fine line where an author wants to give the reader's familiarity because we want that, but making it so similar to the others just makes it boring. There is no creativity in this one, and for once I did not care for the heroine or what happened to her. So I was barely able to finish this and doubt if I will read this series anymore.

This book had me crying, giggling, panting, squirming all in a matter of moments! Alea was a such a brave girl for all that she endured and it helped that she had 3 sexy, patient guards willing to do what it takes to make her see herself the way they did and to show her that not all men are cruel! Cant wait for more from Both Lexi Blake and Shayla Black!

I think this one was my favorite of the series so far. Probably because of the stranded island part. That always seemed so fun (though the reality is probably bad).

And while I did see the twist of it being Yasmin coming (I figured it out about halfway through), I didn't not anticipate just how crazy she would be!
