It is no stretch to say that Kenny came into this life with a bang. While walking towards the hospital emergency room, his heavy-with-child mother suddenly exclaimed that he was coming and she couldn’t walk any further. However, I pretty much only write when I have something to write about-- I honestly haven't ever set aside time daily to write (like so many wonderful and dedicated authors I know do!).
When something comes to me, I try to note the idea somehow (like on my cell phone or a scrap of paper). Then when I sit down and begin writing on that idea I find that words flow much easier. I will often spend hours (if I have the time) just writing when I have a good idea. I suppose I know I'm done with that writing segment when I don't have any clear ideas left-- and maybe that's the writer's block. To me, it just means I need to do something else until I get an idea. No big deal, really.
I realize this is not totally efficient, and is probably the reason it takes me so long to write a book, but it's how I roll!(less)
