Survivor alum Noelle Lambert just misses bronze medal at 2024 Paralympics in Paris

The former reality star came in fourth place in the T63 women's long jump.

Survivor alum Noelle Lambert just took a leap into Paralympics history.

The reality show vet nearly scored the bronze, coming in fourth in the T63 women's long jump event at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games on Thursday. Vanessa Low from Australia earned the gold, followed by Martina Caironi from Italy who received the silver, and Elena Kratter from Switzerland brought home the bronze.

The T63 classification refers to Paralympic athletes who compete while using a lower limb prosthesis. Lambert, who lost her left leg in a 2016 moped accident, sought to break the 5.46-meter T63 world record set by Caironi in June 2022 in Paris.

During the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials in July, Lambert also made history as the first American T63 woman to surpass 5 meters with a 5.06-meter jump on just her second try.

Lambert previously competed as a sprinter at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, which were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She placed sixth in the 100-meter sprint and also broke her own American record. She is next set to compete Saturday in the 100 meters.

In addition to her athletic endeavors, Lambert competed on Survivor 43 in 2022, ultimately finishing in eighth place. She was voted off just days after establishing herself as a social, strategic, and physical threat. A particularly rewarding moment for the Paralympian saw her cross a narrow balance beam with only one leg.

"I was looking at it and I'm like, 'There's no way I'm gonna be able to do this. There's no shot,'" Lambert told EW after departing the show. "It's crazy because I'm not an emotional person. Ever since my accident, I'm not the type of person to show people how I'm feeling. So getting vulnerable like that and kind of expressing my emotions to complete strangers… it was really cool to have them cheering for me. That really made the moment even more special."

Lambert's departure came back-to-back with fellow Paralympian and Survivor fan favorite Ryan Medrano, who recently scored two silver medals at the 2024 Games, coming in second in the men's 100-meter T38 event and 400-meter T38 event.

Medrano credited Lambert with encouraging him to pursue the Paralympics. "She pulled me aside after we were both voted off because we were voted off back to back, and she had stated, 'Hey… you can run the Paralympics,'" Medrano told the Texas Standard last month. "She opened that door for me, and she allowed me to get that information to make this journey possible. Without that, I would have just been a Survivor guy, not a Paralympian."
