Juan Son

Juan Carlos Pereda (born on january 24, 1984 in Guadalajara, Mexico) is a Mexican singer and composer of experimental music. He was the vocals of the alternative rock band Porter and has recently premiered as solo singer under the pseudonym Juan Son.

Biography

His professional career started with the band Nouveau, an amateur band in 2001; this experience motivates him to fully devote his time to music.
In 2003 he travels to London to study singing just to return in 2004 to Mexico in order to form the band named Porter with which he achieves national and international recognition. Sufficed only one EP and an album to awaken the interest in the band and start a tour throughout Mexico that, finally gave the acknowledgment and acceptance domestically. As consequence of his success, Mussgo (name he adpoted while in the band), is invited to collaborate with other singers' records and tours.
His prolific creativity during 2007 gave him the opportunity to record a solo album early 2009 named "Mermaid Sashimi".
He is currently working on a new song with Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes..
