:No, it would appear the only emails I sent to arbcom under that were non-progress reports on October 1, 2009 and May 14, 2010. 'Bot related question
I've run into an incident that I'm not sure a) if I've handled right and b) if it needs to be brought up elsewhere.
Nutshell is:
- At the end of November Fbot was ignoring {{Bots|deny=Fbot}}. I posted to Fastly - see User talk:Fastily/Archive 5#Fbot issue, maybe minor - and they stated "it will now".
- Today, Fbot tagged again in spite of the deny template - [1]
- I've reverted, blocked the bot - since there is no "off" switch, and left notes on the bot's talk and Fastly's,

- I think you are in the wrong here. Any information in the upload log should be moved to the file page, and the old revision deleted. ΔT The only constant 15:57, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Unfortunately Δ:
- The statements related to that file indicate an existing error - remove the old version and the current version changes.
- The issue related to the file is not the problem. The 'bot ignoring the deny tag is.
- To my understanding the tag is supposed to be used in those rare cases where automated tagging and, in this case, removal could be detrimental. If the file has an apparent problem but is tagged with a "deny", then it needs to be handled manually. If they have already been handle manually, the bot has no business revisiting it.

- Unfortunately Δ:
- Not commenting on the NFCC issue, I think you handled it correctly and as long as Fastily says he's fixed it when he unblocks Fbot or gives a good reason not to fix it, then I would say it does not need to be brought up elsewhere. MBisanz talk 03:45, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
You are invited to the National Archives ExtravaSCANza, taking place every day next week from January 4–7, Wednesday to Saturday, in College Park, Maryland (Washington, DC metro area). Come help me cap off my stint as Wikipedian in Residence at the National Archives with one last success!
This will be a casual working event in which Wikipedians are getting together to scan interesting documents at the National Archives related to a different theme each day—currently: spaceflight, women's suffrage, Chile, and battleships—for use on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons. The event is being held on multiple days, and in the evenings and weekend, so that as many locals and out-of-towners from nearby regions1 as possible can come. Please join us! Dominic·t 01:27, 30 December 2011 (UTC) 1 Wikipedians from DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark, New York City, and Pittsburgh have been invited. |
Unintended consequences
A few days ago you changed my name here, but i am unhappy with the outcome. When i log in with my old name, all my settings, preferences, my confirmed and reviewer status are gone. When i log in with my new name (this one), my edit count is zero, and i cannot check up on previous edits. Is it possible to switch my account back to the way it was on 29/12/2011 ? - I'm sorry, you'll need to file a request on bugzilla to have the merge completed as it apparently broke during the rename. If you want, I can file it for you. A developer will then move over the edits that were not properly reattributed. MBisanz talk 05:02, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes please, do that for me. thanks Pass a Method talk 11:44, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
