I think this photo requires OTRS evidence of permission. Kelly hi! 14:20, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kelly, I am the owner of the photo, along with my wife, Anna Fegi. That photo was taken with our personal camera in December 2012 in Cebu City, Philippines. That particular image is used for all public promotions from shows and appearances. Thanks! File:Book of common prayer 1662.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Ptolemy Caesarion (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

There is a note here not to copy it to commons because of an "unusual exception in British copyright law". At a deletion discussion at commons in 2012 it was decided that the KJV, for which the same law applies, should be kept, and there have been no further challenges. Commons has also had at least one of these BCPs for years: File:Baskerville Common Prayer.jpg. JFH (talk) 02:57, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Does this lantern resemble the original character design enough to be considered a non-free derivative work? Prisencolin (talk) 05:35, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Gregory Winter in the Master's Garden at Trinity College by Aga Machaj .jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Zerret (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

File is a duplicate of Commons:File:Sir_Gregory_Winter.jpg. Each image credits a different author. The enwiki version credits Aga Machaj without an OTRS verification on the file page, while the Commons version credits c:User:ElspethLindsey as own work. The Commons version was uploaded first. The enwiki version was originally uploaded as non-free, and had the license tag changed to CC BY-SA 4.0 by the uploader AntiCompositeNumber (Leave a message) 14:10, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Have contacted both uploaders, there should be an email coming through to OTRS. Please ping me if any questions. Thanks. Thehelpfulone 15:09, 28 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Menwithmonsters.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Giantdevilfish (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Image does not have any critical commentary. With a few discussions with the commentator, it's mostly there for what is claimed to show how the actor looks without the suit. It's "interesting", but it's something that could potentially be replaced with a free image and since there is no sources or information backing up why we have to show the actor, it's something that I would not use unless this image is free. Andrzejbanas (talk) 16:38, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Keep I'm the one that uploaded the picture and the reason for that upload (or any upload. I'm not really a believer in uploading photos to make articles look prettier) was to help people understand portions of the article better that simple text might not fully convey. The reason I uploaded that particular photo was to show the three men that brought the monsters to life on screen and to show the props that were used for filming which is covered in the last paragraph of the production section of the article. I believe this picture can educate readers with its clear visuals for the production of the film that text might not fully explain. Since non-fee media is allowed by the Wikipedia I believe there is no reason for the picture to be deleted since it has the necessary templates and usage rationale.Giantdevilfish (talk) 16:50, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Just to clarify and keep my reply simple, I'm against this only as it's just "showing what they look like", which is appropriate for a page on the actors, but not good enough for an article on the film, where's it's not necessary. A perk, but what they look like is not important as let's say the actor who plays R2D2, who is notably shorter than an average person. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:01, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan, and unlikely to be used in the future due to quality issues. In addition, this is likely a copyright violation as a derivative work. The image in the photograph is likely under copyright.  ★  Bigr Tex 23:13, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
