Philip is the secondary antagonist in the DreamWorks film, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. He is Gromit's arch-nemesis and Victor's pet.
Background[]
Philip was the pet dog of Victor Quartermaine and was always seen by his master's side or at least assisting him in doing something. He appeared during Victor's confrontation with Wallace in the woods, but was terrified of Wallace's transformation into the Were-Rabbit. He didn't appear again until Victor tried to shoot the Were-Rabbit in 62 West Wallaby Street, but this was a prank set up by Gromit.
When the two caught and locked him in a cage, Gromit did managed to escape sometime later thanks to Hutch. While Victor hunted down the Were-Rabbit, Philip and Gromit fought each other. However, this fight ended after Gromit dropped him from the bomb doors and he crashed straight into a bouncy castle, deflating it with his sharp teeth. In the end, he survived the crash and accidentally bites his own owner trapped in the fake female Were-Rabbit costume, thinking it was Wallace in his Rabbit form, as the group of angry villagers chased him away.
Personality[]
Philip obeys his master, but is intelligent enough to know that the Were-Rabbit is beyond his hunting skills, preferring to fight Gromit, who is closer to his actual size.
Physical Appearance[]
As stated above, Philip is a Bull Terrier dog with white fur and light brown spots. He also wears a spiked collar.
