The Society of Assassins, in their Robes of Invisibility, were detected, opposed, and defeated by the Blackhawks.
History
In 1951, an important peace conference was set to take place in southern Europe, and prospective delegates to that conference were being systematically murdered, by invisible killers. The Blackhawk Squadron were called in. The Society of Assassins had been hired by a hostile power to disrupt the conference, and they wore special outfits, that made them invisible and shadowless, in normal lighting conditions. Despite this advantage, the Blackhawks were able to close with the Assassins, and corner them indoors, where they captured most or all of them, including their alluring lady leader, Spectra.
Paraphernalia
Equipment:
- Robes of Invisibility: Their fabric is treated with a special chemical dye, that refracts all light waves, and makes them appear almost invisible, in normal lighting. A man wrapped in this material also casts no shadow.
