Fred Ray (b. February 4, 1920 – d.January 23, 2001) was a writer.
Professional History
Fred Ray was an American comic book illustrator and occasional writer. He started working for National Comics in 1941 on the title Action Comics and soon he started working on other titles like World's Finest, Superman, Detective Comics and many more. Ray was one of the prime artist during the golden age era of comic books and he is the man responsible for redesigning the Superman Symbol to look more like it does nowadays.
Personal History
Ray studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
He died in his home city at the age of 80.
