Anton Lamont is a professor of art and history who has a strong interest in occult items such as the Cloak of Cagliostro, which he uses for criminal purposes. The abilities granted by the cloak earned him the alias of the Fadeaway Man.
History
When Lamont tried to steal the Horus sarcophagus, his plan was foiled by the combined efforts of Hawkman and Batman.[1]
Shortly before Infinite Crisis, Lamont became allied with The Society. Recently, he organized a group of Hawkman villains to kill their nemesis. However, the plan was thwarted by the hero.

Notes
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal.
- One of Hawkman's opponents in a Golden Age story also wore the Cloak of Cagliostro and gained magical powers including vanishing from conflict, but is not known to have been a version of Anton Lamont.
