על פי en:Image:The Persistence of Memory.jpg ואתר mooma.org התמונה אינה חופשית, אלא ברישיון שימוש הוגן, כך שמחקתי אותה מה-Commons, אשר מאפשרים רק תמונות חופשיות. אם תמצא איזו הוכחה משפטית שהתמונה הזו חופשית, אשמח לשחזר אותה, ועד אז אני ממליץ לך לרשום משהו ולשים תמונות אחרות בדף המשתמש שלך.

Hi Deror, I'm happy you are uploading your photographs to the Commons - this one is probably my favorite :-), but the others are very fine as well. Will you bring en:Image:Jwalls.jpg with them? Remember we (my username elsewhere is DVD R W) talked briefly about that picture before? Yesterday, I helped move the ones you marked as {{delete}} on en: and for future reference, we have {{NowCommons}} as well as a variety of other templates for different purposes on en:.

On another note, I often find images from other Wikipedias and upload them to the Commons and have been spending a lot of time lately at he:. When you have time, can you help me translate the license and text on this picture? The photograph is blurry but it is a very important place imo. And also I'm very happy that מיכאלי has agreed to license his photos as GFDL so they can be used on en: and others, so if you speak with him let him know that I think that was a great decision and that he should upload them at the Commons. I am willing to help do this, I know it takes a little while but it would be worth it. Actually, I'm going to leave him a note about this right now. thanks for the thip about {{NowCommons}} - I didn't know about it. as for Amit's picture, there is a discussion in hebrew wiki right now about the said licence (which I drafted, and which allow the use of the picture for any educational purpose as well as any commercial purpose provided that if the picture is used for commecial purpose (i.e. picture books and postcards) it can not be sold and must be given for free (i.e. it can be used commercialy, but the commercial product using it must be given for free), which I belive is the spirit of wikipedia (keeping information free). Michely's incident was a misunderstanding and he never ment that his picture will be used only on Hebrew wikipedia (he ment all wikipedias). I am quite sure amit will comply with your request, however, my understanding of the Israeli Law as the a person may not forsake some moral rights regarding his work (to make a long story short - if I understand correctly, Israeli Law is like French Law - and thus only "attribution" license is allowed.

yes, {{Attribution}} is very smart, I wish I had used it for my photographs I've brought here, mostly subjects near where I live near Seattle. Any more that I take I might use that though I like GFDL because it matches the text. DVD R W 17:55, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
