This is a very quick read, partly because it is short instead of padding it out, partly because it is a true adult story without diving into clothes being ripped off or a "forbidden passion" being what the story hinges on. The characters are more breathing than some of the people I talked to the last time I went to the grocery store. and inner drives and torments are opened up to be examined.

it works as a romance and as a coming of age "a bit late" entry to the real world.

The one thing I would recommend is more of the lyrics on the page, and using that form of story telling to allow a change of actions.

In summary, it earned five out of five stars, something very rare for me.

I liked this book. It was a cute, quick read with interesting characters. The only reason I didn't rate it 4 stars is because I wouldn't re-read it.
The MC's were best friends in H.S. but never dated. So when the H declared his feelings and asked the h to go away with him, it all came out of left field so she shot him down. 8 years pass without a single word spoken between them. She's now dating someone else and the H just came back to his hometown to play a concert.
Again, this book is enjoyable and is good enough to read once.

I have mixed feelings on this book. The characters didn't really resonate with me at all until about the last twenty percent of the book. The rest of the book was spent eye rolling at how stupid they both were. They weren't my favorite characters by a long shot. What saved me from rating it lower was that the ending was pretty cute and I liked it. It just was hard to get to that point for me.

Roxy is a strong woman character which I love but best part of the story is her realizing she was getting in her own way. Now I can’t wait to see what happens with Dru and Bellamy.
